Sister, best friend, confidant, rock, sounding board, and all things nutty and muppet related is Liz in a nutshell. She may be far away, but is with us every step of the way in spirit (and calls, and Zoom, and...) Liz was the second family member to meet Nigel early on (and right after his accident). That was a night to remember... think winter temps, convertible Camaro, Nigel in a neck brace, and then tacos and margaritas. We are both SO thrilled to have Liz be the MOH - we wouldn't have it any other way.
Todd Miramon

Nigel and Todd played in an 80's review band 20 years ago in San Diego (Todd lead guitar, Nigel lead vocals), and have been friends ever since. Although the two don't play in a band together anymore, Todd now calls Arizona home which makes record shopping play dates a regular event. The two are water nuts and love bodyboarding as both are California boys. On a recent trip to SD, Todd introduced Nigel to SUPing (stand up paddleboarding), which means we will need more storage space in the near future.

Jamie met Diana a REALLY long time ago - she is probably one of Jamie's longest/oldest Arizona friends. Upon meeting at some industry event way back when it was basically kismet. The two share a birthday, a love for photography and art and music, architecture and design, and can talk for hours about anything and everything (proven by a road-trip from Long Island to Phoenix with little to no break in the conversation), so a life-long friendship was imminent. (She is a fantastic cook, too... viva Italia!) We can't wait to have you here with us!
Joey Coco

Nigel knew of Joey (and his band Electric Barbarella) before they actually met. The two new wave music fans were fated to be fast friends after playing a gig together in two different bands. Joey is now the lead singer in the Numan League with Nigel on synth and the two continue to collaborate and nerd out on all things synth.

Carrie and Jamie met one sunny afternoon at Tempe Town Lake (in 2006 or 2007?), clad in spandex, ready to row whatever coach had in mind for that session. All I remember is that with connections to the midwest, love of food, wine, great cocktails that lead to new years hot tub and bubbly extravaganzas, dinner dates, Mardi Gras celebrations, holiday parties (that sometimes required the use of the spare bedroom), Purdue appreciation, kate spade, rowing, the desert, and gravitas... a life long friendship was born (in and out of spandex).

Nigel and Bernie met completely by chance at Tour de Mesa (in 2018) after riding more than half of a metric century in the same group. The two have ridden over 3000 miles together since then and have grown a great friendship off the bike as well, sharing a fondness for live music and world cuisine.
Bridgette Blair

Bridgette and Jamie met through AAED, an economic development organization in Arizona (2007-ish?). The two worked closely together on committees and SO MANY themed events over the years... they quickly became a dynamic duo and more importantly friends. Through moves, marriage, kids, costumes, and life in general, Bridgette and Jamie are not only close friends but are also (and FINALLY) coworkers bringing the dynamic duo together! For those that don't know, Bridgette was instrumental in behind the scenes shenanigans/covert proposal operations and planning with Liz and Nigel (and probably others - so sneaky!). Bridgette is a secret weapon in party planning, all things sparkle. She has boundless positive energy and is a fount of ideas and is high ranking in the 'Keep Jamie Sane Club'!

Drew is Jamie's brother and the first family member to meet Nigel. While the two only see each other a couple of times year, they hit it off quickly from sharing a fondness for tacos and margaritas to Top Golf and Cards Against Humanity. Nigel is excited to have Drew as a future brother-in-law and officially be a part of the Schindeldecker clan.

We wouldn't have it any other way. As we start this new chapter of our lives together, it was decided early on that Jamie's dad would walk her down whatever aisle we chose. Having him there as we say 'I do' will make our day complete.

Dani is sewn into our story in a number of different ways. First, she is an amazing human and mutual friend. Nigel knew Dani from her involvement in the local music scene and as a DJ on KWSS. Jamie first met Dani while attending a business open house with Diana Brandon for another mutual acquaintance. Fast forward, Dani is attending the same Modern English concert, and her plus one happened to be Nigel. The group met by happenstance at Valley Bar and the rest is history. We can't remember when it came up, but when the option to have her close this amazing circle and marry us became an option, it was a no brainer and we are so thrilled!
