I am an elopement and wedding photographer based in Northern California, who shoots for the fun quirky weirdos who are unabashedly themselves. I capture the perfection that you are while having a laugh and (almost assuredly) crying along while you read your vows. My name is Katelyn and I want to meet you!

We worked with Katelyn on a previous wedding and our couple raved about her! She was wonderful to work with and communication was very easy & smooth. As a wedding planner, it is so important to work with amazing and professional vendors because it makes everything easier and ensures that the wedding day will run smoothly. Not to mention the photos were gorgeous! Highly recommend Katelyn if you are looking for a photographer!

I’m Cherlyn (rhymes with Berlin). So nice to e-meet you! If we met in person and it wasn’t during a pandemic- I would probably hug you! I’m an introvert-extrovert and tend to ramble too much when I get nervous. In emails - I tend to use exclamation points a lot!! (and will agonize over my drafts of emails before sending them because they probably have one too many!!) My aim as your photographer is to provide a memorable experience where you two feel comfortable, taken care of, and get to fully enjoy your wedding day as much as possible with all your guests & loved ones - whether they be in real life or via livestream!

Working with Cherlyn has been an absolute pleasure! She has taken our engagement, wedding, and family photos, which have all turned out beautifully. She communicates clearly, has incredible attention to detail, completed absolutely everything on time, and takes the most perfect photos. I continue to return to Cherlyn for any photography needs - she’s the best!

I believe love is love and happily photograph couples of all backgrounds, orientations, religions and gender expressions. I aim to create authentic and emotive images for my clients and edit true to color so the work will be timeless. My personality is friendly and warm, which helps make my couples feel at ease and open up in front of the camera. I donate $100 from every wedding day package to a non profit organization (either the ACLU, End the Backlog or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation) because I believe paying it forward in honor of love is an excellent first step into marriage.

Jenna was so helpful! We had a very small wedding in June and then a larger party in September. Jenna split up her package in a flexible way so that she photographed both. She put us completely at ease, was great with a crowd, and loved our dog, Cody! The preview was ready incredibly quickly (I think within three days) and the whole batch of photos came out beautifully. I hope to never have another wedding, but if I did, I would hire Jenna again!

Originally from Colombia, I now call California home! At an early I began to take an interest in capturing the world as I saw it, as I followed my passion in photography it has taken me all around the world. I knew this passion was more than a hobby, so I pursued a degree in production photography and after graduating I decided that it was time for me to start fresh here in the United States. Upon moving here I immediately became captivated by helping others capture their most wonderful memories, especially during what might be one of the most important moments in their lives- their wedding!

Stephanie took photos of the food and drinks at my fresh seafood restaurant for promotional material, she was able to highlight our food and unique dine-in a way that was captivating and real.

Each wedding I take on the roll of coordinator, photographer, and personal assistant keeping the entire day running smoothly and keeping the stress of the day as far from the bride and groom as possible. I would love to be a huge part of your entire process from overall planning to execution of the day! In the off chance you're booking at a Northern CA Wedgewood venue, I have hundreds of hours of experience at each of their venues and work very closely with the everyone of the staff at Wedgewood.

My wedding was in May and the weather surprised us by dumping buckets of rain during the ceremony. Thomas was so helpful with all of his direction and suggestions for the ceremony. He was able to keep his cool and roll with the punches on our very crazy day. Our Photos are absolutely stunning! I honestly can't say enough good things about him. He took so many photos and his editing is wonderful. He also did our engagement photos all the way in Yosemite. He not only drove 3 hours one way for the engagement shoot but also drove an obscene amount of hours for our wedding. He put in so much work and I can't thank him enough.

Livermore, CA

  • Starts at $10,500

I'm Hannah, a full time wedding and portrait photographer in Livermore, California. To me, photography is so much more than just hiring another vendor. And that's why you should choose someone you truly love to work with! I believe the real magic happens during the in-between moments – a secret smile shared by the parents; a tearful hug with the maid of honor; a quirky moment with the best man. These memories are far more precious than any staged photo, and these are the memories I want to capture for you on your big day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Hannah is a joy to work with. She completely understands that success for a team of wedding vendors is achieved by cooperating as a cohesive group and not as disparate individual vendors doing their own thing. Her friendly and optimistic demeanor motivates us all to perform our very best for our mutual clients. And the photos she takes are full of such life, perfectly capturing the spirit of the day - you almost feel like you were there!

Olivia Smartt Photography

Oakland, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,900

Want a trusted, unobtrusive, thoughtful pro photographer friend on your wedding day? Someone to capture the way the wedding FEELS as well as it looks. A little direction during portrait time, a little leadership during family portraits, and near invisibility all other times? I think you’re onto something. I’m in. What's exciting? What’s important? What's confusing? Let’s sit down for a discovery meeting and I’ll ask, listen, lay out options, and share suggestions. I want to learn about you. I'm on your team 100% before, during, and after your wedding. Bonus: I've shot 400+ practice weddings before yours and I absolutely LOVE what I do!

We found Olivia to be a wonderful, skilled photographer! Her eye for composition is creative, yet she demonstrated the connectiveness of us as a couple. The one thing that stands out is how Olivia totally put us at ease by using innovative ways to relax us as we were posing. She had us, as we were holding a position close to each other, to tell each other 3 things we love and appreciate about each other. This of course brought smiles and was totally relaxing and sincere. She made us so relaxed and comfortable . As a result , the photos look completely natural. We actually became engaged the afternoon, immediately after these photos were taken. She made the moment so relaxing and magical. It was serendipity. I recommend her highly, and will be spreading the word amongst my friends and contacts. We will treasure these photos forever.

Vivian Chen Photography

5.0

Richmond, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

My style is natural and photojournalistic. I love capturing unscripted moments because those are the type of photos that tell a richer story of your day. Working with me means nothing overly posed, nothing awkward, nothing that doesn't feel like YOU. While we'll spend some time doing portraits, my priority is for you to be present and enjoy your wedding day. I like to shoot discreetly with an emphasis on candids so from the moment you first see each other to that last hilarious toast, you’ll be relaxed and focused on one another and not even noticed I’m there.

We cannot recommend Vivian highly enough for your wedding photography! We had multiple guests compliment her professionalism and stealthiness on the day of the wedding. Vivian’s calm demeanor was MUCH appreciated on the hectic wedding day. She is a superstar. She made sure we didn’t fall behind with our timeline even though we had requested a large number of portraits. Even though we’re a bit camera awkward Vivian was great at posing us and guests for shots. But where Vivian really shines is all of the candid shots that capture the pure joy and excitement of the day! She was so fast to provide us with our wedding photos, and we love looking back at them. The photos are framed well, have true to life coloring, and are just beautiful.

Marisa Ruth Photography

5.0

Castro Valley, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

Hey, I'm Marisa! I work with couples to help capture their dream wedding day! Most days you can find me drinking coffee in front of my computer editing the day away. If I’m not home in the SF Bay Area, I’m most likely in the Sierras or at a session off the grid. Outdoor adventures light up my soul! I basically live out of a duffle bag. In my free time you can find me drinking wine with friends, maybe on a run, laying around with my dog, near a lake or finding the best tacos.

Marisa is truly the best! When my husband and I first booked her last year, we were nervous to do our engagement photos, we were and are (lol) not the “photogenic/IG” type couple. But Marisa ran with it and made the whole session comfortable and embraced our quirky-ness! Fast forward to our wedding (2weeks ago) Marisa and her team were a dream! My husband and I didnt feel awkward, they were all so great no matter what scenario and/or event came up! (Insert ants) I’m so happy to have had Marisa be a part of such a special day for my husband and I! There is no one else I would go to for my future life events! Thank you so much Marisa!!

Wanderlust and a social curiosity led me to study photojournalism in the American West where I fell in love with people and places; everything from the way we live and work, build and break, love and pray. Here's to you!

I love our photos of my daughter Anna and her husband Zach's wedding reception. Due to Covid we waited a long time to celebrate, and I was so glad we chose Luke George Photography. I highly recommend Luke, He is professional and fun. He is able to capture the moment and not be intrusive, His pictures are so detailed, using a variety of views such as panoramic and aerial drone. He photographed all the aspects of Anna and Zach's reception and did a fantastic job. His fees are reasonable, and he was generous with his time, not charging extra, and even staying longer than his time was contracted. Thanks Luke

Forevermore Studios LLC

Brentwood, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,500

Our approach to photography and film making is the result of years of experience and hard work. We love to capture your unique day, your moments, your emotions, and your memories as they unfold. Our photography is a blend of photojournalism and natural/authentic portraits. Our portraits feel organic and bring you right back into that moment.

I would 100% recommend them. Here's why: Communication: Jen and Brian work so well as a team. They're both always so quick to respond. They're thorough, friendly, helpful, kind, funny, and efficient. They presented very clear written communication and made themselves available. Price: What really got me was the fact that I could give the password to our album to anyone and there were unlimited downloads. Plus, the engagement shoot and the wedding were bundled together. Last, broke down what they're charging for in the invoice. Organization/tips: Jen is so well organized and Brian knows just how to support her to maximize that organization. Since I was planning this wedding with no wedding planner, their expertise, tips, and organization skills were very much appreciated. When I asked for advice outside of photography, they were very careful not to persuade my decision to what they thought I should do, but gave very insightful tips to make my own, informed decisions. They helped me create a very clear timeline (for photography) that I used for the entire wedding and went over during the rehearsal dinner. They told our officiant (who was my cousin) to be sure to move away before he tells us to kiss. Since my wedding, I've noticed some officiants are not told this. Equipment: They come VERY well prepared. First of all, they were coming from Northern California. We live in Los Angeles/Orange County area. So they came down twice for our engagement shoot and for the wedding. During the engagement shoot, they had tons of great lighting equipment to do cool shots like the one under the bridge. They scoped out the sun patterns of both sites the day before to be sure they got the best lighting. They encouraged me to bring multiple outfits for the engagement shoot and brought a pop up tent so I could change in the middle of a park. They also has a speaker system we were able to use at the wedding Pictures: My husband and I are both very camera shy. Neither of us have taken pictures with professional photographers before and even my husband said, they made us feel really at ease and he could not imagine getting photographed by anyone else. They took a LOT of pictures. They got everything from details to people. They used their own creative ideas, and also asked for our input. The ONLY thing I have to say that's negative is there are a couple shots where some of the people in the photos are off center or not close enough to the rest of the group and one shot where my husband is doing something awkward in with his hands. Other than that, I really really love their editing style and how they got a good mixture of candids and posed pictures. Video: I especially love how in our ceremony video it caught my cousin saying something funny so my husband wouldn't cry when I was walking down the aisle. I love that they added clips of the speeches, but wished they got my cousin (maid of honor)'s speech in there as well. As far as the rest of the video, everyone that watched it said it was AMAZING! They got great camera angles of the ceremony, my husband appreciated that they took the videos quickly as we were doing the pictures, and they really captured as much as they could. Overall, Jen and Brian: - work very well as a team - take beautiful pictures and edit them well - give great tips without overstepping - are friendly, warm, and fun to work with - give you a lot for what you're paying - are very communicative - go the extra mile

Welcome. My name is Khariza and I am a San Francisco based wedding, portrait and lifestyle photographer. Think of me as a professional third-wheel, or better yet as your friend with a camera! I am dedicated to capturing authentic photos that feel true to who you are!

Awarded Best of Zola
Khariza really was a joy to work with. Even though we had a really small wedding there is always stress involved, particularly for us around taking pictures since we're not used to posing and wanted to make sure our pictures looked good. On the day Khariza took a few moments beforehand to teach us some poses and gave us some pointers for how to stand to make for a better looking photo, which put us at ease and made the picture taking far easier. Khariza is warm, friendly, and awesome to work with. She was super professional, organized, and communicated clearly and succinctly. She had an intro call with us so we could get to know each other better to see if we were a fit. She walked us through what working with her would look like. Khariza also accommodated our request to see some galleries from previous SF City Hall shoots so we could get an idea for where we'd be taking pictures and what poses we liked. Ahead of the wedding day, she created a timeline for us so we were all on the same page, which helped us keep to our schedule, which was quite tight. We felt super comfortable the entire time and she gave great directions to keep us looking out best. Khariza also honored our preferences for not super-staged photos and kept us on schedule while we were at the city hall so we could get the types of photos we knew we wanted. We just got our teasers about a week after our wedding day and we're so happy with them!

I have photographed many different niches, many events, many families, many milestones and my *ROCK* will always be love. Love is the foundation of every milestone thereafter and there is just something about it that I can’t get enough of! Every love is unique and it is truly a passion of mine to authentically capture it in whatever way is unique to each story.

To hire Nichole. She is professional, has an amazing eye and editing style, and has a way of making you feel SO comfortable and confident in front of her camera. She gives great direction, and knows exactly what to do to get the perfect shot. I’ve done 3-4 photoshoots with her (I think now?) At this point and every time I’m going through an album I always think there’s going to be a handful I just won’t care for, but they just keep getting better and better! Idk how she does it. She’s amazing, and I truly don’t think you’ll find a better photographer for your special day.

Hello! I’m so excited for the chance to work with you. I’m a former teacher who has always had a passion for photography. I started working freelance in 2015 and did a lot of my first jobs in the music industry! I’ve shot Warped Tour a few times and even had one of my promos featured by AP magazine. I quickly realized I loved working with couples the most, and now focus on couple and family portraits and weddings!

Awarded Best of Zola
Thalia was a wonderful photographer! She made us feel comfortable right from the jump. She was extremely transparent with pricing as well as her process, which took a lot of stress off a stressful time such as a wedding! We got both engagement photos and ceremony photos done from her and they're all absolutely stunning - every candid and posed photo is great. She even got good smiling photos of family who can never smile for photos! I would HIGHLY recommend her for anyone looking for a photographer for any event.

Gemini Sun Creative is an intimate wedding and elopement photographer serving Northern California, NYC, Upstate NY & Philadelphia. Owner, Daniela Monzi, specializes in elopement and intimate wedding photography. With each couple she works with, she strives to show off the unique traits of their love story in every photo. Her passion for her work is most deeply connected to the process of telling people’s stories through photographs. Most of Daniela's work centers around the human experience, our shared existence, and the quest for revealing the truest form of each person that she documents.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Dani enough! We have worked with her on a few occasions and knew from the very first time that she would photograph our wedding one day. Dani was so helpful throughout the entire process. During our initial consultation, she was so supportive, encouraging, and excited, it made us feel confident in our decision to elope. She took the time to listen to our vision and then created a detailed and thoughtful schedule, while still making the day feel relaxed. Dani has a special talent for making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We really appreciated her pose guidance and her unique vision when choosing locations. When we received our photos, we were blown away by how perfectly she captured the entire day, from start to finish. The photos truly tell the story of our wedding day. It's hard to put into words how much we appreciate Dani and her work, but the photos speak for themselves. We always have and will continue to recommend Dani to everyone we know!

I'm a CA based and travel wedding photographer. I've photographed almost 200 weddings, and every single one goes by so quickly. I love my job because even though the day goes by fast, I get to find and capture those small moments, sometimes just a fraction of a second long, so they can be relived over and over in photographs. I have a photojournalistic and editorial style, plus 9 years of wedding experience under my belt, so trust me that I've got it while you are able to fully enjoy your day and be present.

We are traveling wedding photographer and videographer. For 2024, we have 70+ weddings booked in 21 different states. Our shooting style is photojournalistic, natural, CINEMATIC to traditional. Our editing and style depends. Very easygoing and flexible depending on the client's preference. Our team is dedicated in delivering memories.

We decided to do a last minute baby moon in the Miami area. I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to get a photoshoot. However, I was a bit worried about finding a photographer on short notice, especially between Christmas and New Years. I reached out to several photographers and Ledd Lens was the only company that promptly responded, replying to me within ten minutes, From the very start of our conversation, Andre was exceptionally professional, responsive, and approachable. He was very flexible with my last minute request and accommodating to my asks. I knew right away that he would be a fantastic choice. When the day came the weather did not cooperate and Andre was able to flex his schedule to a time that was not rainy, which was much appreciated. He assured me that this would be a positive experience regardless of the weather. And the photo shoot went fantastic! His ability to choreograph and capture a scene is unparalleled. You could feel the enthusiasm and passion he has for his work, and that is reflected in the final product. Andre did a great job of quickly editing and delivering the photos. We absolutely love how they turned out and cannot recommend Andre and Ledd Lens enough!

Thanks so much for stepping into my world of photography where capturing memories and emotions through the lens of my camera is a true passion. My journey as a photographer began in my teenage years when my Uncle, an avid photographer, sparked my love for the art by showing me the magic of capturing life's moments. With over 100 weddings under my belt as a lead photographer and mentorship from some of the Bay Area's top wedding photographers, I bring a wealth of experience to each and every shoot. My goal is always to produce images that are not just beautiful but also truly authentic.

We got married last year and had a small event where Hok was the photographer. Hok came with a very strong recommendation from a friend who had Hok as their wedding photographer as well. Hok is simply amazing. He was so easy to work with, walked an extra mile to make sure the entire events is captured and that too really well. He is really great at editorial-type of photography, candid shots, different angles and colors. We were so surprised and happy how good the photographs came in and we still go back every now and then and remember the events. We very strongly recommend Hok.

This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements, to hiking engagements, to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York and California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, and candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few awesomely unique shots on top of it all.

Kathryn did an amazing job photographing our wedding! We had an intimate ceremony on a pier on one of the Finger Lakes. I loved that she arrived at the venue early to scout out scenic spots in the park and caught some great candids of our family. She made it so easy for us -- she was ready with lots of suggestions and ideas for shots to capture after the ceremony. We definitely depended on her expertise and I so appreciated her preparation. You can tell that she is truly invested in your special day! She made us feel at ease, which was especially nice because my husband and I are a little camera shy. She has a great sense of humor and she made us laugh through our photo shoot. I highly recommend Kathryn for your wedding photos. She will make your experience very enjoyable and you will get unique, artistic shots. Thank you, Kathryn!

Lauren and Jamie are the best photographers and people!! Considering how much of our wedding day we would spend with our photographers, it was important to us that we felt comfortable and actually had fun with them. Lauren and Jamie more than deliver in this area, bringing fun and positive energy while also keeping things relaxed and comfortable. Beyond that, the final product of the photos is something we will cherish forever. The pictures are beautiful and also feel unique and special to us as a couple. They didn’t bat an eye at hiking >1 mile on Ring Mountain after our ceremony to get the perfect shots and we loved laughing and chatting with them throughout. They somehow managed to be incredibly professional and organized while also making us feel like we were old friends. Out of all of my vendors they are the ones I recommend the most as I cannot imagine our day without them.

If you would have known me growing up, you would have been surprised if I didn’t become a photographer! I fell in love with photography after spending countless hours in the darkroom. Since 2008, I have been working professionally in the photography industry and have shot over 300 weddings and numerous other assignments in almost every genre of photography. Why Weddings? I love problem solving and puzzles, and I’m always up for a good challenge. For me, a wedding is a day full of all of the things that I love. Its basically a whole day of coming up with solutions to make the best photographs for my couples.

Awarded Best of Zola
Lisa did an incredible job of photographing our wedding and we couldn't recommend her more highly. She was super professional and responsive in the lead-up to the wedding, and on wedding day, she was organized, calm, and efficient, which we really appreciated given how much was going on that day. She brings a ton of experience and a real eye for detail and lighting, which we thought really showed in her photos -- they were beautiful!!! Our wedding day was a whirlwind, and while we loved it, it went by just as quickly as everyone said it would. When we got our photos from Lisa (which she delivered faster than expected), it gave us the chance to relive the day, plus see so many other small moments going on between people at the wedding we hadn’t been able to see. Choosing to work with her was one of the best decisions we made -- we will cherish the photos for the rest of our lives! Also, we decided relatively last-minute to schedule an engagement photo shoot with Lisa at SF City Hall, and she was kind enough to accommodate us on pretty short notice. Her experience showed here too -- she knew the best spots to seek out in the building, and the photos are beautiful and personal even though City Hall can get so busy with people. Both my wife and I are not the most comfortable being photographed, but she was patient in walking us through how to stand and showed us our photos to help us understand why she was giving us the instructions she was. She was so dedicated to getting the best possible shots, and that really came through in the photos. As mentioned above, we can't recommend her more highly!

Annie was such a pleasure to work with! We hired her for our small 2020 wedding and again for our larger, postponed reception in 2021. She was very understanding and flexible during the entire process. What first attracted us to her work was her ability to capture the moments that told the story of the day, not just a portfolio of staged photos. My husband does not like to be in the spotlight and can be awkward in photos. Annie made everyone feel comfortable and nabbed fantastic photos where everyone looked great--and she was very discreet while shooting. My family still talks about how great she was to work with. On top of all that, the photos she delivered were stunning! We got back so many wonderful shots. And the walnut box we received as part of our photography package was even better quality than I expected. Thank you Annie, for being so kind and professional from start to finish!

I'm a Bay Area native with over 12 years in the commercial photography realm. I got my start on the beaches of Los Angeles back in 2012 shooting commercial swimwear campaigns for some of the best designers in swim and fashion. That opened the door to countless opportunities with modeling agencies, reality television, and fashion design. In 2018 I made the move back up north to San Francisco where I grew up. With a wide network of friends and family up here, I found myself catapulted into the Wedding and Elopement industry - and absolutely loved it! I'm honored when I get to be a part of one of the best days of a couple's life together.

We are SO happy we had Sarah as our photographer. From the very beginning when we first reached out, she was organized and on top of her game! After our initial consult we knew we had to book her ASAP. Sarah is such a bright and fun presence. She brought the BEST energy to both our sunrise engagement shoot and our full wedding day when a hype woman is exactly what we needed. She is positive, confident, fun, and just plain GREAT at what she does! As for her photography, I’m sure that can speak for itself - it is truly gorgeous!! She beautifully captures meaningful moments and the results are phenomenal. She got so many sweet candid and action shots that captured the emotions of the day so well. Finally, Sarah was always professional and great with communication. It helps that she is a genuinely kind person who so clearly wants your day to turn out perfectly! We were blown away by A) the sheer amount of photos given back (they don't cap their packages at certain photo counts) and B) how seamlessly the entire collection flowed together from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be re-booking them for our family photos (first baby on the way!!!) in the future. Hey future newlyweds! I'm Jarrod, a wedding photographer that specializes in story telling. Tired of all the bright, overposed, cookie cutter sh*t you keep seeing? Let's create wedding images with real emotion, story, and intention to them. I know being in front of the camera can be awkward. That's why I choose not to pose couples, but instead prompt you to do something like "take off your shoes and run across the field" or " get inside the car and kiss everywhere except the lips". These prompts will help you feel comfortable and also help create candid images. Check out my website for more info :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Jarrod did an amazing job on our wedding day! We were so very grateful to have him there with us. He was absolutely amazing and did a great job collaborating with our other vendors and coordinating logistics and timing of what we wanted to have done. We were so happy that we got videography done for our big day- feels like we’re reliving it each time we watch it! Highly recommend and very worth it!!!

I was introduced to the world of photography the same week I was introduced to the world! All thanks to my Dad, who was never without his camcorder or camera. Because of him, our memories growing up are preserved. Then I got my first camera + tons of film. I documented everything. When film turned into digital, that was a turning point in my life. Since then, my memories, large + small, have been organized on my computer, by year. So I can go back + revisit so many wonderful memories from my life...most which I wouldn't remember without pictures!

Awarded Best of Zola
I had a small wedding at home and she was there early in the morning and took photos of the entire day. She was taking photos to make my day memorable and focused on the details that I am so grateful she was able to capture. She photographed my family members too and made me feel beautiful on my day. I sometimes get awkward in front of cameras but she made me feel comfortable and I would for sure book her again when given the chance. I highly recommend. She’s very understanding of different cultures and made sure to capture those moments that made my day special. She edits beautifully and she also sent a flash drive in a beautifully presented box. I loved it. Her attention to detail is impeccable and you can tell she loves what she does. So grateful that my sister discovered her. Nicole was absolutely amazing.

Meg Cooper Photography

Guerneville, CA
  • Photojournalistic style

  • Serves Walnut Creek, CA

My name's Meg and I'm an elopement & intimate wedding photographer based in Sonoma County in Northern California. When my husband and I started planning our wedding day, we knew we wanted something very different than a traditional, big wedding day. We wanted an experience that was intimate, sentimental, and relaxed. And that's exactly what we created! We kept the traditions that made sense to us, and scrapped the rest without a shred of guilt.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were searching around on Google and Meg Cooper's website showed up. As soon as we saw her photos, we knew that she'd capture the aesthetic we wanted for our wedding photos. Upon reading more about her on her website, we absolutely knew that we had to have Meg as our photographer. We could not be more thrilled with how our wedding photos came out. Meg captured everything so perfectly. We planned our wedding during Covid shutdowns, so decided to do a backyard wedding at my parents' house. We were a little unsure how my parents' backyard would look on camera, but Meg absolutely nailed it! We would recommend Meg in a heartbeat to a friend, and definitely would love to hire her for any future photography needs. We are still in awe over how beautiful our wedding photos are, and we know that we'll cherish them for years to come. Not only did our photos come out amazing, but Meg made our wedding extra special with all of the little touches along the way before, during, and after the wedding. All of the questionnaires and conversations we had beforehand made us comfortable knowing that we had made the right choice in hiring her. Things like calling the morning of the wedding to see if I wanted any coffee or breakfast, sending us a recording of our ceremony while we were on our honeymoon, and sending us the sneak peaks the night of the wedding after an incredibly long day were so incredibly thoughtful. Not only did we get the most amazing wedding photos out of the day, but we feel like we made a friend along the way

I'm as passionate about getting to know the people I work with as I am about capturing their special moments.

Sean has been one of the best photographers to work with. Our paths crossed for the first time this year while we worked a wedding together. The wedding was big & chaotic but Sean was extremely polite and easy to work with.He was also a real gentlemen and was very respectful regarding my time with the bride. The bridal party enjoyed his company along with the other 3 vendors we shared space with. His easy going personality was calming and his professionalism never went unnoticed. Mr Wash also went out of his way to share the gallery from that day. He made me feel very appreciated, it was an honor to be thought of even weeks after the event. I hope to work with Mr Wash again in the near future. His calm kind personality paired with his talent makes him a prime pick for any client or vendor.

Making you relive the excitement, nervousness, happiness and warm fuzzy feelings of your wedding day.

Black Hat Studio captured the emotions at our wedding phenomenally! We had a simple wedding in Riviera Maya with a last minute venue change because of a storm and the team calmly rolled with the punches and made the most of the changes. We were worried all the changes would reflect poorly in our photos and videos, but they turned out wonderfully and we've not tire of flipping through them! We specialize in creative moment driven wedding & lifestyle photography. We are committed to telling our couples stories and supporting them in ways that allow them to be free of stress and to be in the moment.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jos and Tree came highly recommended to us and, having worked with them, we now know why! A lot of people take wedding photos. Among them are a handful of folks who are also reliable, professional, and pleasant to work with. And within that smaller group, is an even smaller group of photographers who have real artistic vision matched with technical skill. Jos & Tree are, without a doubt, near the top of that select group. The images they produced of our wedding run the gamut from traditional wedding photos to absolute masterpieces of lighting, composition, and technical execution. Here's an example: as the day was wrapping up, and a bit *after* Jos and Tree's deadline for leaving had passed, they quickly posed my wife and I in front of a tree in the park; Jos had a vision for an image he wanted to capture in the fading light... and the resulting image proved absolutely magnificent; it is my favorite photo of the day, and among the top photographs I have seen anyone create, anywhere. On top of the artistic talent and skill, Jos & Tree were an absolute pleasure to work with; responsive, pleasant, personable, and fun. They were always on time, and ready to work... and work they did!! The amount of effort and energy they put into capturing lots of beautiful and creative images cannot be overstated. And then, they edited them beautifully, and have been working with us to select images to print and put in a book. The quality of their artistic consultation has been phenomenal. My wife and I have seen a lot of wedding photos that people proudly post online on sites like reddit. I can confidently say that I've yet to see more interesting and beautiful wedding photos than the ones I've seen from Jos and Tree. It's a pleasure to give these two lovely people our highest recommendation.

We worked with Vincent for our wedding in February of 2021. We scheduled our wedding with him several months beforehand. Leading up to the day, he had checked in several times to see how our plans had been coming, evolving, and what our expectations were the day of. He is incredibly personable, professional, and talented. We didn't ask for a lot of specific shots and the few we did ask for came out way better than we could have possibly imagined. Vincent took beautiful photos of us, our family, and our friends. For our camera-shy friends, he kept laughing with us, creating an atmosphere of joy and stress-free photography! He was quick to ensure that all of us being photographed were comfortable. Since our wedding, we have recommended him to literally every person who lets us know that they're engaged. We really can't say enough about Vincent and his work! The best we can say is that we highly recommend working with him- he is a truly amazing human and photographer!

Tiny House Photo is a LGBTQ+ women owned documenting love stories with intention. Stephanie, the photographer behind Tiny House Photo, is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida but travels often around the country to photograph couples, elopements and weddings.

Awarded Best of Zola
We booked Tiny House Photo for our engagement session and wedding and I cannot recommend Stephanie enough for your special event. Stephanie’s photography is absolutely gorgeous, heartfelt, elegant, humorous, raw, silly, artful, and fabulous. My husband I were completely thrilled with all of our photos. Stephanie documented our wedding day in the most heartfelt way, capturing the essence of every moment. Looking through the photos brought us back to every moment, they enamored us as much as they made us laugh and say things like, “Of course this family member had 3 outfit changes.” Our wedding day was perfect not because everything was seamless and smooth, but because it was exactly what we wanted it to be, and Stephanie helped us both actualize that by giving folks directions when needed and by documenting it so truthfully to help us remember all the joys, laughter, tears, and mild annoyances of the day! What we loved about Stephanie’s photography from the start was its honesty and deep feeling. Her photography spoke to us in a way that was much deeper than getting some fancy or trendy shots of our wedding. We wanted to remember it all – each raw moment that paints the whole picture, each raw moment that has its own value even if it’s unknown at the time. We wanted someone who knew how to connect with all of the deep complexities of existing, that fortunately/unfortunately(?) won’t be put on pause during your wedding day! Stephanie has the gift to create a gorgeous documentary of a special day because she has the beautiful ability to tap into the deeper meaning of both the small and big moments. Her empathy and compassion were felt by all, which was evident in the comfort everyone felt around her. If you’re camera shy, Stephanie is amazing to work with, she helps you feel so comfortable and eventually you forget you’re even being photographed. Stephanie’s boundaries and fierce protectiveness kept things in line, which we so greatly appreciated. She also helped us develop our day of timeline and portrait list. She is a literal wedding guardian angel. Stephanie has such a special gift, and we’re so grateful that she shared it with us. We HIGHLY recommend that you book her for all of your events, especially if you are also a sensitive, deeply feeling, neuro-spicy (as she says!) person. We 100/10 recommend Stephanie for her kindness, professionalism, expertise and sense of humor. I’m already thinking of future photo shoots we can do with her… :)

My professional background was cultivated in the field of architecture and design. But around 2010, my obsession with photography overcame my passion for architecture and I changed course. Through years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve developed a genuine love and appreciation for these emotional events. To me, weddings are emotionally-charged, symbolic celebrations. They often inspire pure expressions, words and feelings from the couple and their family and friends.

Awarded Best of Zola
Mandy Scott Events has worked with Duy Ho Photography many times since we first met as part of the team for a multi-day destination Indian wedding in 2014. Duy is the photographer I most often recommend to my clients. He does not consider himself an artist but a craftsman; I see him as both. His images reflect a unique artistry crafted from years spent figuring out the use of natural light and framing of his subject. He tells the story of the wedding day for his clients capturing emotion and documenting the events as they unfold in an unfussy way. He is always well prepared ahead of the event and exudes a calm energy throughout even the most hectic and longest of wedding days. He is quick to deliver a sneak peak to clients right after their big day and their gallery is always delivered in a timely manner. Can you tell I'm a huge fan of his work?!

I am a mother of 3 and have always loved art, and once I picked up my camera and found a way to tell others love stories, I knew I found what I was supposed to do.

We hired Michelle for our wedding and wow... where do I start?? Michelle and her assistant were INCREDIBLE! They were super friendly, thoughtful, funny, helpful and just made us feel incredible comfortable! My husband and I are shy people who do not like to be the center of attention and do not like to get our pictures taken, so we were both anxious about it. As soon as they started, we ended up actually having so much fun, laughing and having a great time getting our pictures taken! I have seen a few sneak peeks and am already in tears at how beautifully they turned out. I CANNOT wait to see how the others turned out! We will 100% be working with her again in the future! Thank you Michelle for the wonderful memories! Definitely do not hesitate and hire Valley Images Photography for your next event, you will not regret it!

Artistic storytelling for the fun, kind and adventurous. Hi friend! :) I'm your neighborhood artist, goofy empath, & lover of dogs and human beans. (Name is pronounced Hasmeen, kinda like jalapeño) My goal is to be a source of joy and vulnerability in your life while helping you feel grounded on your big day and ~even more~ grateful for the life you live and the love you choose.

Jazmín made our wedding day so incredibly special, capturing every detail and all the big moments as well. She is SO talented! From being willing to balance on a mossy log to get some gorgeous water pictures to making my husband and me (and our bridal party) feel so comfortable in front of a camera, Jazmín is so professional, kind, and has an eye for capturing the feeling and beauty of a place. She covered our day from beginning to end, and without her, we wouldn't have had many pictures from our day. We've never had professional photos taken of us before, and every photo Jazmín has taken of us is our favourite. We feel REALLY lucky to have had her there to capture so many moments of that day and to be able to look back on her work brings back so many happy memories. Thank you, Jazmín! (BOOK HER for your engagement shoots, your weddings, your family portraits - it'll be the BEST thing you do!).
