She was born in Uganda and moved to Birmingham, Alabama when she was 10 years old. She photographed the November 2018 cover of Rangefinder Magazine and was named 1 of 30 Rising Stars in wedding photography worldwide. Memory Lane Photography is the idea to create timeless and memorable pictures that will be there even after us. We are experienced and passionate Connecticut wedding photographers and lifestyle photographers. Connecticut is our home but we travel throughout New England and other regions.

I specialize in 35mm and medium format film photography, but I also offer digital photography and am typically shooting both on a wedding day. My inspiration comes from organic moments, perfectly imperfect details, finding beauty in simplicity, and natural, modern and creative environments. I find that I thrive most when I get to work with couples who are so involved in the moment, they don’t care much about a wrinkle in their dress or a misplaced hair.

Laura received her training through assisting some of NYC’s top fashion, editorial and art photographers. Her work has been featured in numerous publications and blogs including Harper’s Bazaar, Town & Country, Grace Ormonde, Martha Stewart Weddings, 100 Layer Cake, Junebug Weddings, and Green Wedding Shoes. Laura has a conviction. That is: that wedding photography be about exceptional imagery, period. She is inspired by documentary photographs with multiple layers of interest, and in both candid and composed images that are sincere and lasting representations of people and of a time.

I was raised in New England, then moved to SoCal to be a photographer at Disneyland in 2009. Five years later, I relocated to my dream city, Brooklyn, NY. Ever since, I've been making colorful photo magic from coast to coast.

I found my passion for art while growing up surrounded by horses in a small town in Brazil. The shapes, textures, and colors of the horses always have been inspiring to me. I’ve always wanted to recreate them, but was never really able to. Honestly, my painting/drawing skills were and still are terrible, and that’s when photography came up in my life. I would create imaginary cameras out of my toys and would ‘photograph’ the horses and my neighbors. Photographing people became my passion and then evolved into my work in editorial and wedding photography.

As my Instagram bio says, I'm a country girl by birth, a city girl by choice and a photographer by obsession. I grew up on a farm in a small Midwestern town, but have lived in New York City for over 25 years. As a photographer I say I'm self-taught, but in reality I've had the benefit of amazing mentors and teachers along the way who helped me elevate my work and pursue joy along with results. When not making photos or hanging out with my husband and kids, you can find me with a book in hand or listening to music while indulging my love of textiles at my sewing machine (yes, I really own a sewing machine)! Oh, or dancing! :-)

Hi! I grew up in NY and came to Milwaukee 8 years ago - you could say it was for love. We have settled in and embraced our new community. I have been so lucky to always have working with people at the forefront of everything I do. From teaching to non profit work, photography allows me to do all of those things. I LOVE being outside and exploring new places. We live on the shores of Lake Michigan and visit the beach regularly year round. When I am not frolicking and photographing amazing people, I am usually spending time with my nutty little family outside.

I grew up in Texas and married a beautiful brown-eyed Jersey girl on a mountaintop in the Hudson Valley. I have the greatest job in the world. I’m lucky enough to witness tears of joy, celebrations of life and the continuation of family legacies on a weekly basis. In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. When it came time to name this newly formed company, there was only ONE name it could possibly have – Silverfox Studios.
