Steven Rosen Photography

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,200
  • Serves Staten Island, NY

I have been a photographer for the last 20 years, shooting weddings, elopements and portraits. I'm proud to have shot more than 150 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone. That said, I’ve worked with as many straight couples as LGBTQ ones. I don't discriminate. There are many other photographers whose work inspire me, but my primary inspiration comes from painters. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Sargent, to name a few.

We had Steven photograph our small Central Park wedding and it could not have gone better. Steven was a pleasure to work with, knowledgeable about the area, and full of fun ideas now captured in photographs we’ll forever cherish

I’m Edgar, an HTX-raised native with Salvadorian roots. I am the owner, creative director, and lead photographer at Anchor Studios Photography. I'm a wedding and elopement photographer based out of Pittsburgh, PA! However, the stories I capture don't start and end there. I love to travel to capture stories all around the world.

This photoshoot was a surprise gift and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. I typically HATE getting my picture taken, but he made it so easy. He described perfectly how to pose, where to stand, and everything was very natural so I didn't feel awkward in any poses. His knowledge on lighting and backgrounds was most impressive!!

Hello there! I'm Andrea, owner of Amative Creative, and every weekend we're so blessed to be able to tell the love stories of so many amazing couples. Like many others in this industry might say, we simply adore weddings. But what makes us a little different is our entire brand is centered around telling love stories specifically curated to reflect your vision and aesthetic. "Amative" means to be prone to love, so as you can see, we want nothing more than to tell your love story! But what makes us truly unique is that we understand every love story looks different. And we personalize every aspect of how we document your wedding day!

Awarded Best of Zola
It gives me no pleasure giving Andrea a less than perfect review, because her pictures are indeed gorgeous and she is a very talented editor and artist, and I do love my photos. With that, there were some things during the process I wish were more transparent and I thought others should be informed. She does not honor her contract at all/it needs to be updated. My signed contract stated I’d receive min 3 previews within 3 days of my wedding. I waited a full week until contacting her; she stated that the contract was “old” and didn’t account for editing…again so update it. OR at the very least admit and let me know you will not be meeting the terms of the agreement and tell me when I can expect them (she didn’t). I had no reason to believe I wouldn’t get previews for over 2 weeks and it was incredibly disappointing/frustrating. Additionally, the photos she chose to include were not what I’d hoped, I had several pictures of my dj but zero of my family…like why? Additionally, 3 days before my wedding she texted me asking if it was okay for her to send someone else to do my wedding. Now, I am understanding of illness and family issues but if you really needed to sub my wedding, call me and and explain. But to put the decision on a CLIENT and ask if they are okay with you not coming as expected put me in a tough position, not to mention a stress I didn’t need before my wedding. The contract also stated I’d get the full gallery by the one month mark, and after I didn’t get the previews until almost then, I knew that timeline was laughable. I was provided no communication as to when I might expect them just that she was “unusually” busy (clearly overbooked, admitting 5 weddings a weekend, etc) Or, you can stalk her IG stories for her queue but that just shows you where you are in line, not when you can expect anything. Eventually I received my photos 16weeks after my wedding. While they were absolutely stunning, I was still a little upset about little details ignored (leaving scratches when I specifically asked to have them concealed out) or photos that were only provided in black and white, when I wanted color or the option for both. I’ll wrap up by saying yes her photos are amazing but go in aware deadlines won’t be met or communicated and you’re not guaranteed to actually have Andrea herself (I’m sure her whole team is amazing, shout out to Jo!) it’s clear anyone on her team is interchangeable. If you’re not bothered by any of that she’s amazing!

Hey, I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you. Summing up who I am in an "about me" is always difficult. What you must know: (1) I'm a nerd. If you want to talk video games, LOTR or Doctor Who, we HAVE to sit down for a bourbon or a coffee. (2) Yes, I will be out on that dance floor with you snapping away while joining in on the fun. And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Mary was incredibly professional and made us feel super comfortable. She got the couple shots very quickly and then took many beautiful candid fotos. We are really happy with the end result. Mary is super talented, would hire her all over again.

Montrose, PA

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Staten Island, NY

Hey! I'm Jess, the owner of the company that's named after me - shocking, right? I'm from the suburbs of Philly but now live up in the mountains of Northeast PA in Montrose, right on the border of Central NY. I'm married to a woodworker (who HAD to be the inspiration behind Ron Swanson because they're the same human), we live on 25 acres with three huge dogs (2 Golden Retrievers and one Great Pyrenees) and three ducks - and I'm constantly begging for more animals. I'm outgoing, sarcastic & humorous, and I love organization/cleaning, sushi, reading, The Office, and traveling everywhere I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
I wish I could give 1000 stars to Jessica Manns Photography! Haven't even gotten my official sneak peak from my wedding on Saturday, but from what she showed us, I know its going to be absolute ***MAGIC***. Jess is an absolute delight. She calmed me down when I was stressed about some delays on the day of, she was supportive, helpful, communicative, FUN, professional and honestly felt like a long lost friend to me and my husband. Not to mention that our engagement session was FIRE. We put our trust in Jessica Manns Photography to capture one of the most important days of our lives and I am so happy that we did. Look no further. Jessica Manns Photography is 10/10.

I've always been relationship driven. It's our connections with those close to us that makes our life's experience that much richer. It's no surprise that my clients naturally become a part of my family. There is no other industry in which I believe I am better suited. We are a good fit if you are looking for a fresh, enthusiastic, seasoned professional who will put you at ease, make you laugh, and spend quality time with you before, during, and after your wedding day. Getting to know each other on a personal level allows us to foster a bond that enables me to capture and deliver stunning images you'll cherish for the rest of your life.

Back in 2016, during my brief 4 year stint doing wedding photography, Daniel joined a wedding photography FB group I was a member of, and I was quickly impressed with his eagerness to learn the art of photography. In search of an assistant/third shooter for an upcoming wedding, I decided to hire Daniel. When we first spoke on the phone, I liked him immediately. He came across very friendly, attentive and easy to get along with. It also helped that he is a fellow drummer and Rush fan!! Over the years since then, I’ve watched him grow into a phenomenal photographer, and I knew that he was the man for my own wedding. Certainly not a standard issue photographer, his work has always impressed me. His creative use of light (both natural and artificial) and slow shutter effects make for some of the most gorgeous photos one will ever see. In fact, one of my favorite shots of the day was using the slow shutter effect and a group of complete strangers he convinced to help us! But beyond his photographic skills, Daniel is just a solid human being! He has a very calming presence, which is always welcome when you have the wedding day jitters. He knows how to have a little fun during the day, but is always 100 percent focused on you and your wedding day. Simply stated, you’d be a fool not to hire him for your own wedding! “Living in a fish eye lens, caught in the camera eye” - NEP

Rahway, NJ

  • Starts at $900
  • Serves Staten Island, NY

Operating out of Central Jersey, RAJ The Foto Pavilion is an international photography business that services weddings. Lead photographer Akash Chauhan offer their extensive experience to document special celebrations. You can anticipate your personal love story preserved in an authentic manner to enjoy again in the years to come.

I hired Akash for my Indian wedding in August 2022. He provided photo services for our pre-wedding events and photo/video for our wedding day & reception. From the first inquiry phone call, all the way to receiving our final products, Akash has been great to work with. When I requested a few changes on my wedding highlight video, there was no issue on his end. He strives to make his clients happy and we absolutely love how all of the photos turned out! Part of our package was also a pre-wedding photoshoot where we got to meet Akash & shoot with him several months prior to the wedding. Not only did the photos turn out great but we got to be more comfortable with him and his style. There were many things to worry about throughout the planning process and the big day itself but I can safely say I had no worry at all with Raj Foto. Thank you!!
