Man, where do we start? My fiance and I found Hun Events through Zola and we couldn't be happier we did. From our first Zoom meeting and all the way through our wedding day, Tavi was fun, knowledgeable, honest, communicative, and just plain easy to work with. With budget in mind, we opted for Hun Events’ 2-month coordination plan plus custom design services. We were initially concerned this wouldn’t be enough, but even six months out from our wedding, Tavi was scheduling appointments and meeting with us in person to pick out place settings. She was always quick to respond to any questions we had via text or email. We rarely felt lost - and even when we did, we felt comfortable letting her know, and she’d always happily point us in the right direction. Tavi also helped us immensely with design, taking our vague ideas and turning them into several excellent options for us to choose from. My fiancé and I are both notoriously indecisive, and Tavi was so incredibly patient with us throughout the entire planning process. Once we landed on all the signage we wanted, she handled the logistics of getting everything printed and transported to the venue. All of which is to say: it's hard to overstate how much Tavi took off of our plate, both mentally and physically. By the time our wedding day arrived, we were 100% confident that Tavi would knock it out of the park. She didn’t disappoint - her attention to detail and constant communication never wavered. Getting married is stressful stuff, especially for two people with anxiety, and we honestly couldn’t imagine having done it without Tavi. Her day-of assistant, Katie, was also a total pro. We honestly feel like we got in on the ground floor of an incredible wedding planner who will soon (rightfully) be charging much more for her services. Do not think twice about hiring her!

I could not have imagined what my entire wedding planning experience would have been without the help of Carissa and her team. We chose to hire Carolina Becerra to be our wedding planner for our destination wedding in Mexico because she is fluent in Spanish (and English). A great planner, she organized every small detail for our wedding, which included two day trips for our guests, a dress rehearsal dinner, and day-of the wedding planning. I have a photobooth business, and had the pleasure of working with Michelle & her team this weekend to service a wedding, so I am writing this review as a vendor, and from a vendor's perspective. To start, Michelle is on top of it! She is incredibly organized and strikes me as someone who dots her "i's" and crosses her "t's". If there is any missing information, incomplete documents, or details needed from a vendor, she always follows up via email & text and makes sure that those requirements get sent in. She is on top of it and is pretty persistent in her follow-ups, so my advice to other vendors is to just get those requirements in early! :) Before the big day, Michelle follows up with the vendors to confirm details like arrival times, service schedules, vendor meal preferences, etc. And she provides everyone a final timeline along with detailed instructions & maps to make loading in and setting up easy & smooth for all of us. It's actually pretty amazing to watch. Michelle is incredibly detail-oriented as well, and based on my interaction with her, she seems to be always thinking about the experience that she wants to create for bride/groom and their guests. When it was time for the big event - the wedding ceremony, everything came together just beautifully and the bride's walk down the aisle was absolutely flawless. It was really something special. You can feel the spirit of the moment in the calm, beautiful atmosphere that the team created...it was a very special moment. As a wedding photographer I feel like I can confidently say that it’s rare to find a coordinator as amazing as Emily! The amount of work she puts into weddings is beyond anything I’ve seen from other coordinators, and on top of that she is such a fun and easygoing person to work with. Before we even met I remember emailing back and forth with Emily and just thinking “wow this lady is doing sooo much for this couple” and it showed through on their wedding day. The details, vendors, and the couple’s vision for the day totally came across flawlessly and I know the bride and groom were absolutely thrilled with the way their day ran. One of my favorite things about Emily is that she is so willing to work with other vendors. Coordinators are typically the ones calling ALL the shots for a wedding (other than the bride, of course) so it’s not uncommon for coordinators to ignore requests from other vendors. This is not the case with Emily. Not only did she want to hear from me about what I thought would work for the photo timeline, she also listened to my suggestions over a phone call and implemented them! It’s always such a relief when the coordinator wants to make the day run smoothly for the bride and groom and the vendor team! Emily is not only the greatest help to the couple but also uplifts and supports the vendor team all day. She is wonderful to work with and I can’t wait to work with her again in the future!

I will vouch for the others who also said, Kelly asked the hard questions during multiple meetings leading up to the big day and my fiancé and I would answer well how is it supposed to be done? What do others do? and she would answer any way you want it! I can make it happen and she did. I met Alexa on the day of and she was busy organizing vendors loading in etc. My only regret is not hiring them sooner.

Sehar very delicately managed our vendors especially when they had made mistakes and ensured a smooth event. She managed our timeline well and made sure the things I really wanted to happen got done. A general note on working with a wedding planner- No wedding planner will be perfect. We are all humans after all. The important thing is to fund someone you jive with and keep clear, effective and open communication between you and the person you have chosen. I was working remotely (helping with a newborn granddaughter), so Annie, the bride/my daughter and I had regular phone/google meetings, with prompt updates. She acted as intermediary, communicating with both groom and bride and vendors to refine details; sparing me the hassle. I always expect the unexpected, and as a very few MINOR glitches arose, Annie managed them efficiently. I was well aware of the details, but when the time came for THE Rehearsal and Welcome Dinner, and THE Wedding and Reception, everything exceeded my expectations as it magically coalesced into a literal "DREAM COME TRUE"! (and my daughter had been dreaming about her wedding since the first time she watched Cinderella) I thoroughly enjoyed the event we hosted, THANKS to Annie. When we first saw Meredith at the wedding, she was in her element. She had the staff working to make sure the drinks were stocked, guests knew where to sign in, the dJ and the Photo Booth knew where to setup, the caterers knew where to be and more. She could not have been more professional. Upon the completion of our photos, we realized that we were going to have to move the timeline up. Meredith told us that would be no problem and immediately began making sure all necessary parties knew the update and got where they needed to go. As the night came to an end, it was such a weight off of our shoulders knowing that we didn't have anything to worry about. I would recommend Meredith and Ekklesia Events with any family member or friend looking for a wonderful wedding coordinator.
