I cannot say enough good things about my wedding at Wythe! The staff are so friendly and thoughtful. The event was so smooth. They have it all done! And yet, it was still an open canvas for us to make our own. The food was amazing. My guests raved about the food. Even my friend who has been to A LOT of weddings said it was the best wedding food she’s ever had. Service was wonderful. I asked for recommendations for photographer and day of coordinator and both were amazing! Wythe made planning for and the day of my wedding much easier than if I had gone with a venue with less experience.

People are still talking about our wedding. The food, service, views, everything is exceptional and worth every penny. Multiple people have said that it’s the best wedding they have ever been to. The cocktail hour had at least 8x the amount of food (passed and stations) as any wedding we had been to. There is a Mediterranean station, sushi bar, raw bar, dim sum station, martini bar, and more. Then you get to choose 8 passed appz (including lobster rolls, crab cakes, lamb chops, and more). We really cannot say more positive things about Tribeca rooftop!

The Italian Academy for Advanced Studies is a fellowship program for post-doctoral scholars, who work in offices on the fourth and fifth floors of Columbia University's Casa Italiana building, the Academy's home on the main Morningside campus. (We also produce a variety of prestigious public events.) The building is located on Amsterdam Avenue just south of 118th Street. Wedding celebrations are most often in the Teatro, the 2nd-floor 2000-sq-foot ballroom with an adjacent outdoor terrace. We give several options for superb full-service caterers who consistently provide excellent food and service at fair prices. The Italian Academy provides a Public Safety guard, custodial cleaner, optional chairs and AV equipment, and a house manager to assist with making your planning easy and pleasant. After initially booking with the Green Building across the street, and the unfortunate circumstance of it closing down, we explored other options in Brooklyn before quickly realizing there was no better deal than 501! We (and our guests) loved the cool Brooklyn vibe of the place, and despite all the current construction in the area (we didn't even bat an eye at it on our wedding day!), had the best day ever. Abby, Alexandra and the team accommodated several site visits, when we were first trasferring our contract and when our parents came to town and wanted to see the place. They also scheduled a bar tasting for us so we could sample the wines and cocktails before settling on our bar package! The day of ran so smoothly and the entire staff was so nice and accommodating, we just felt so supported and at ease. All of their recommendations for vendors were on point, and we got to keep our ice cream truck for dessert! Overall, great team, great experience, great value for Brooklyn!

This is the quintessential NYC venue. The entire BK Venues team is extremely helpful throughout the entire process and the onsite staff day-of are incredibly attentive. Raw spaces can be daunting, but W Loft provides tables, chairs, and a beautiful built in bar, which helps with the additional rental costs. At W Loft, you're guaranteed to have a night to remember!

We got married at the Picnic House in April 2024 and had a great experience! It's a beautiful space that you can do a lot with. We really appreciated both having both the flexibility of choosing amongst a variety of vendors, as well as the assurance that given their experience with the venue that they'd be easy to work with day of (which was true- we had a very smooth wedding day!). We really appreciated working with Caity, who was very responsive over email and quick to pick up the phone. Our only struggle was in acquiring our parking passes (that was really the mail's fault) and in getting some answers early on regarding external alcohol policies. And I would say be very careful in selecting your caterer, since they'll make or break your experience. But overall I would absolutely recommend the Picnic House to anyone! The price really can't be beat for what you're getting.

We had our wedding at El Caribe on 08/26/2023 and our wedding day was perfect! My wife legitimately cried when she entered the Tiara ballroom. It was the only time she cried the entire day... she didn’t even shed a tear at the church lol. It well more than exceeded our expectations. Cocktail hour was incredible! My wife and I didn’t attend cocktail hour but we were able to see some photos from our guests and it was unbelievable! Cocktail hour included a lobster wall, an oyster shucking station, fresh mozzarella being made fresh in front of your eyes… it was incredible. We wish we had attended our cocktail hour just to view everything in person but we knew that we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy any of the food if we did (as we would have been approached by everyone trying to talk to us and wish us congratulations). Instead we enjoyed all the food being served at the cocktail hour in a separate private room. The staff and service was incredible! Alan was super attentive. He made sure that we stayed hydrated and were able to actually enjoy the food from our cocktail hour and dinner. During our private cocktail hour, Alan dressed my wife in a white tablecloth (so she didn’t spill anything on her dress) and was attending to our every needs. One of my groomsmen’s wives joined us in our private room (she was pregnant and we welcomed her to join us so she could be comfortable) and she commented how awesome and attentive the staff was and how the staff at her venue practically forgot about her wedding (we didn’t ask for her to elaborate lol). Similarly Ashley (the bridal attendant) and George were awesome as well! The MOH was struggling to bustle my wife’s dress and Ashley just took over and bustled it up quickly! I would highly suggest El Caribe for your wedding venue! After attending my wedding my cousin (who experienced El Caribe for the first time at my wedding) booked his wedding at El Caribe shortly afterwards. Also, your cake from Aliotta Pastry Shop is included when you book with El Caribe and the cake was phenomenal.

The chefs paid close attention to every detail, making sure that every dish was cooked to perfection and that the presentation was simply breathtaking. Fully restored to its original glory, the TWA Flight Center offers 200,000 square feet of flexible space including outdoor terraces. Original details — the Vulcain clock, sparkling white penny tile and plush Chili Pepper Red carpets — exude Jet Age glamour. Saarinen’s iconic Flight Tubes (made famous by the 2002 film Catch Me If You Can) lead to guestrooms and museum exhibits, as well as provide a premium photo opp. The nostalgic clacking sound of two authentic Solari split-flap boards — and the view of the 1958 Lockheed Constellation on the tarmac just outside — fully transport visitors back to the golden age of travel.

Our wedding turned out to be incredibly beautiful, thanks to a unique venue and execution by its staff. However, that perfect day was almost derailed by the unacceptable pressure campaign to change ceremony locations due to concerns over furniture getting wet. We wanted this review to capture our nearly 20 months of planning with the TWA Hotel. PLANNING PROS: -Variety of spaces -Responsiveness -Flexibility for storing supplies CONS: -No FAQ document -Frustrating room block system -Forgotten menu tasting notification -Lack of communication and contradictory info from the Paris Cafe for rehearsal dinner THE WEDDING PROS: -Organized and accommodating staff -The food, especially the pastrami station and red velvet cake for dessert CONS: -Wrong display with typo on Solaris board in the Sunken Lounge -Our tiered wedding cake wasn’t cut and served even tho there clearly wasn’t enough sheet cake to pass around -The weather “policy”: We were told that we could make a final decision on an outdoor ceremony up until the morning of our wedding, and our point of contact reassured us of this during our final walkthru 2 weeks out. Our contract also secured the Sunken Lounge as the backup option if we chose to move indoors. However, in the final days and hours before our wedding, we were pressured to move our ceremony indoors, despite nearly all weather reports showing clear skies for our 5-6pm ceremony and rain only after 9pm. Our point of contact started questioning our outdoor plans 4-5 days before the wedding, and even met with us multiple times - first in the lobby while we were dropping off supplies 2 days before our wedding, again when we were checking in the next day, and yet again when we were at the pool before our rehearsal dinner, where we had to brush off our guests in order to have a serious meeting. Each time, they told us we needed to make a "final call" now, not the morning-of as we had been told before. After listing their reasons to move the ceremony indoors (which included threatening to release the Sunken Lounge from our backup option, despite what our contract said), the point of contact mentioned that the head manager was concerned about the rain damaging the leather chairs, and then proposed a “solution” of having the ceremony outside, but not setting up any chairs so that our guests would stand for the entire ceremony. It was clear to us that the real reason why we were being pressured was that the manager didn’t want their leather chairs to get wet! We asserted that, unless we were explicitly told we couldn't have our ceremony outside, we would stick with the outdoor option. The morning of our wedding, our day-of coordinator informed us that the venue was insisting they now had a “50% chance of rain policy”, giving them the “right” to change ceremony locations. We immediately forwarded reports from 10 weather sites that all had a chance of rain between 5-7pm at 0-30%. We finally saw chairs being set up outside in the mid-afternoon, and when our ceremony got underway, the clouds parted ways and the sun started shining. CONCLUSION: The TWA Hotel is such a special place to celebrate your wedding! Before you sign the contract, however, understand that you’ll have to stay on top of the planning process, and in cases like ours, fight for what you envision. Make sure the contract spells out any and all promises — there were items that we made sure they honored as it was clear the hotel’s policies had changed since the signing.

Founded in 1863, Center for Brooklyn History, formerly Brooklyn Historical Society (BHS) is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the borough’s 400 year history. Located in the heart of historic Brooklyn Heights steps away from the Brooklyn Promenade, the building is a national historic landmark and features timeless architectural details including stained glass windows, soaring ceilings and hand carved woodwork. The building has been renovated with state of the art modern facilities. Whatever your needs, Center for Brooklyn History can tailor a space rental package. Stately columns and soaring ceilings are the focus of the striking first-floor space, while the elegant Othmer Library, a New York City interior landmark, will make your event one for the books!

We had our wedding at BHS (100 guests, cocktail hour in the staircase lobby, ceremony in the library and reception at great hall) in June 2019. We did not need much decorations other than flowers because the landmarked interior spaces with woods and tiles already made the space look so majestic. Every guest we spoke to mentioned how beautiful the building was, inside and out. Randi, the venue manager at BHS, was always very helpful and responsive. Three notch florals (flowers) and Manna catering (kosher catering) that Randi recommended also turned out to be the best vendors we could hope for.
