Liv was a spectacular florist for our wedding! I am a plant lady and my partner not so much, but working with Liv we were both able to contribute and end up with breathtaking flowers and arrangements that we both had attachment to and loved. Liv was totally available for any questions or random additions, and she was also very respectful of our small budget. We worked with her on ways to make a small floral budget look huge, and EVERYONE who came to our wedding said they had never seen better florals. You can't go wrong with Liv!!!

Working with the Parcel Flower Co. for our wedding was completely seamless. Marcella was a pleasure to work with, professional and fun, she took all of our inspiration and talked us through what flowers were available that time of year. We couldn't have been happier on our wedding day with how the flowers turned out. It was exactly what we talked through and beyond our expectations. Thank you Marcella and Sam!

Flying Little Birds

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Serves New York, NY

Flying Little Birds is a Wedding Planning & Floral Design studio based in Brooklyn. We specialize in creating highly customized wedding design experiences, carefully planned and beautifully executed. From finding the perfect venue to designing unique table settings and floral arrangements filled with uniqueness, creativity, and beauty, Flying Little Birds embraces all planning & design aspects of each wedding so that the couples can concentrate on enjoying this most exciting moment of their lives! FLB wedding services include: - Flower Design - Full-service Planning - Day-of Coordination - Day-of-Styling - Design & Styling - Elopements

I interviewed 3 different day-of-coordinators for our wedding in Brooklyn in November. Our space was very DIY so I wanted someone detail-oriented and experienced. The reason we ended up going with Carol was that from our very first call she was asking questions, both tactical and stylistic, that I hadn't thought about yet. She has a great vision and helped us bring more personality to our day. She also completed a layout for us and we went through how people would flow through the space over the course of the event, which I found incredibly helpful. She is good at her job and makes you feel very at ease and cared for. I would recommend Carol to anyone needing coordination services plus a little more creativity!

Tracey Reynolds Floral Design, Inc

5.0

Colonia, NJ
  • Serves New York, NY

Creating textured florals with movement, whimsy, and intention we work closely with our couples to guide them in the world of flowers, design, and styling, bringing their vision to life. Flower weave feelings of joy and celebration, they set the mood that is your love. Allow us to tell your story through their beauty.

We received a recommendation from two of our family friends who had her design their weddings florals in 2012. Not only did they rave about their flowers, they both said how easy and wonderful Tracey was to work with - and man-oh-man, were they right! From the moment my mom and I met with Tracey, we felt connected to her. Not only did she understand my vision, it was clear she understood me which truly makes the difference. We left our meeting feeling like we just had coffee with a talented friend, and when we received our proposal, we knew it was true. Tracey is transparent, communicative, caring, and creative. Moreover, she’s collaborative and works hard to make your dreams come true. The bouquets were the exact “organic with structure” shape we spoke about, and our centerpieces were the perfect geo-rustic-Scandinavian-chic dream we had in mind (but better and SO unique). There was one adjustment I wanted made in real-time to our centerpieces, so I told her and she didn’t blink - she made the change immediately without question. Our fireplace mantels were beyond romantic with the exact votives we saw online, the room light looked incredible with the greenery she crafted, and our cake was EXACTLY (I mean EXACTLY) what we wanted - the prettiest cake ever because of Tracey! The chuppah that Tracey created for my husband and me was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined - and she was up against the odds of a windy and chilly fall day. I honestly could talk about our chuppah for days - it was the prettiest chuppah I’ve ever seen in my entire life! Tracey’s compassion is also shown through her work. We told her about my husband’s mother who passed away when he was young. We wanted to include daisies to honor her. Not only did she create an INCREDIBLE memorial table with flourishing daisies, she also put daisy pins in his and his father’s boutonnieres. If you’re looking to work with someone who is passionate, create, and has a huge heart, Tracey is your gal! She really brought our vision to life and then some!

About wedding florists in New York, NY

What's the average price range for florists in New York, NY?

There are a number of different factors that influence the total cost of a wedding floral package, including the type of flowers you're using, the size of your bridal party, and amount of floral decorative elements at your wedding (don't forget gorgeous extras like ceremony arches). In New York, NY, bouquets range from $100 to $1,400. Centerpieces typically range from $100 to $1,500. The minimum price for florists often takes into account the amount of effort and time required to pull together the creations.

Which are the most popular florists in New York, NY?

Some of the most popular florists in this area include Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers, The Faux Bouquets and Something Borrowed Blooms.

What questions should I ask when booking a wedding florist?

Florists offer a range of different services that you'll want to ask about before you book. For example:

  • Do they offer rentals of structures and additional decor?
  • Can they create mockups or sample arrangements?
  • Will they assist with flower preservation if that's something you're interested in?
  • Is breakdown/cleanup included in the package?
  • How far in advance should I book a florist in New York City?

In the hustle and bustle of New York City, timing is everything—even when it comes to locking down those petal-perfect arrangements. The truth is, the earlier, the better. Aim to find your florist at least 9-10 months before your wedding date, especially if you're eyeing a sought-after florist or if you're getting married during peak wedding season. This gives you ample time to work with them on how to bring your creative vision to life.

What seasonal flowers are available for weddings in NYC?

Here's a little pro tip: embracing in-season flowers not only captures the mood of the moment, but could also be a savvy move for your budget! Chat with your florist about what's blossoming around your big day—they'll help bring your floral visions to life without the additional markup on imported blooms. So, ready to let the seasons be your guide? Spring struts in with sweet tulips and fragrant hyacinths, while summer boasts hydrangeas and cheerful sunflowers. Rich dahlias and amber-hued calla lilies peak in fall, and elegant amaryllis and romantic red roses will brighten up the coziest winter wedding.

What happens to flowers after the wedding in NYC?

Your wedding flowers helped make your day magical. But what happens to them when you and your crew head to the after party? If you want to do more than just offer them to your guests to take home, there are many NYC based organizations that can help you donate leftover flowers to local nursing homes, hospitals, and more, so some of the joy of your day can live on.

Do florists in NYC rent out decorative items like vases and arches?

Absolutely, most of NYC's florists are not only about petals and stems. Think of them as the set decorators for your big day, offering a beautiful selection of vases, arches, candles and other décor extras that bring your vision to life. Gorgeous glassware to show off those long-stemmed roses? Check! Majestic arches that turn your aisle into a fairytale gateway? You bet. And here's the cherry on top: it's often more budget-friendly and definitely kinder to the planet to rent from your florist rather than buying stuff you'll use just once. So, if you're looking to create an enchanting atmosphere without the clutter of "what do I do with this now?" after the big day, talk to your florist about rental options. They'll have you covered with items that complement your blooms and elevate your venue from "oh" to "oh, wow."
