I’m Cherlyn (rhymes with Berlin). So nice to e-meet you! If we met in person and it wasn’t during a pandemic- I would probably hug you! I’m an introvert-extrovert and tend to ramble too much when I get nervous. In emails - I tend to use exclamation points a lot!! (and will agonize over my drafts of emails before sending them because they probably have one too many!!) My aim as your photographer is to provide a memorable experience where you two feel comfortable, taken care of, and get to fully enjoy your wedding day as much as possible with all your guests & loved ones - whether they be in real life or via livestream!

Working with Cherlyn has been an absolute pleasure! She has taken our engagement, wedding, and family photos, which have all turned out beautifully. She communicates clearly, has incredible attention to detail, completed absolutely everything on time, and takes the most perfect photos. I continue to return to Cherlyn for any photography needs - she’s the best!

I am an elopement and wedding photographer based in Northern California, who shoots for the fun quirky weirdos who are unabashedly themselves. I capture the perfection that you are while having a laugh and (almost assuredly) crying along while you read your vows. My name is Katelyn and I want to meet you!

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I used Katelyn to take our engagement photos around Golden Gate Park and Mt Tam area. We were able to cover a few different locations and do a couple outift changes. Katelyn is so easy to work with! She made us feel comfortable and gave us space to enjoy each other while she stepped back and captured it all!

I believe love is love and happily photograph couples of all backgrounds, orientations, religions and gender expressions. I aim to create authentic and emotive images for my clients and edit true to color so the work will be timeless. My personality is friendly and warm, which helps make my couples feel at ease and open up in front of the camera. I donate $100 from every wedding day package to a non profit organization (either the ACLU, End the Backlog or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation) because I believe paying it forward in honor of love is an excellent first step into marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I are so glad we booked Jenna to be our wedding photographer. We knew instantly from our first conversation with her that we would mesh well together. We aren't people who particularly like being photographed normally but she made us feel so comfortable and at ease during our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. She's so down to earth, kind, and fun. Plus she donates a portion of the proceeds from her wedding packages to charity, which is amazing.

My name is Thomas Seabury I am a wedding photographer of 8 years, over the past 3 years shooting just over 100 weddings per year. Each wedding I take on the roll of coordinator, photographer, and personal assistant keeping the entire day running smoothly and keeping the stress of the day as far from the bride and groom as possible. I would love to be a huge part of your entire process from overall planning to execution of the day! In the off chance you're booking at a Northern CA Wedgewood venue, I have hundreds of hours of experience at each of their venues and work very closely with the everyone of the staff at Wedgewood.

Awarded Best of Zola
Thomas was easily one of the most professional members of the wedding team. We ended up relying on him to navigate the sometimes confusing scheduling and his knowledge of the traditions. He kept us hitting our marks for each moment and delivered amazing photos in an easy to access way very quickly after the events (we used him for engagement and wedding photos). Looking back, Thomas was definitely one of our best picks for the wedding team.

Hannah Berglund Photography

5.0

Livermore, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $10,500

I'm Hannah, a full time wedding and portrait photographer in Livermore, California. To me, photography is so much more than just hiring another vendor. And that's why you should choose someone you truly love to work with! I believe the real magic happens during the in-between moments – a secret smile shared by the parents; a tearful hug with the maid of honor; a quirky moment with the best man. These memories are far more precious than any staged photo, and these are the memories I want to capture for you on your big day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Hannah captured our day beautifully. She was really easy to work with and it was such a relief to find a photographer we were so comfortable with. I was extremely picky when it came with choosing a photographer - I searched forever before finding Hannah and felt an instant connection when we spoke. Our search stopped there as we knew she was who we wanted at our wedding! I was really nervous for the engagement session but felt instantly at ease as soon as we begin shooting. She made my fiance (at the time) and I extremely comfortable and the session was actually really fun (not that we expected it to not be fun haha.... we were both just so nervous that we were scared for how it would go!). We had numerous guests compliment us for hiring her because of how delightful she was to have at the wedding. A few of our bridesmaids actually hired her to capture their wedding after working with her! I truly can't recommend her enough - Hannah is an absolute gem!

Stephanie Pardo Photography

5.0

Walnut Creek, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,500

Originally from Colombia, I now call California home! At an early I began to take an interest in capturing the world as I saw it, as I followed my passion in photography it has taken me all around the world. I knew this passion was more than a hobby, so I pursued a degree in production photography and after graduating I decided that it was time for me to start fresh here in the United States. Upon moving here I immediately became captivated by helping others capture their most wonderful memories, especially during what might be one of the most important moments in their lives- their wedding!

Stephanie is a great professional. My husband and I hired her for our wedding book pictures couple in Chicago city; we wanted a casual style and pictures representing our personality and love. Stephanie has a great sense of people, which makes it easy for us to pose and enjoy our time during the shooting. She was on time and took extra time since, during the session, we came up with more ideas. We got the pictures shortly, and she kept us in the loop for changes or editing. I have another session booked with her for our first baby.

Hi, I'm Christina Hernandez, and I am passionate about emotional, documentary photography. After working 15 years as a staff photojournalist at the San Francisco Chronicle, I've taken my years of experience to create rich, memorable images for my couples. My goal is to create a photo gallery that tells YOUR story. You are unique and your images should be, too. I cry at weddings. I can't help it! I get emotionally invested and I won't apologize for it. It allows me to get into the zone where I am completely immersed in the moment and I strive to make images that reflect that. I love being inspired by new locations, and I go with the flow.

Awarded Best of Zola
Christina was amazing, her photos are beautiful and she is so wonderful to work with! We didn't really know what wedding photos we wanted specifically, and she just curated us and the photos, and they turned out brilliantly. She isn’t intrusive during the ceremony, we didn’t even notice her and nor did our guests -yet there were so many photos! She is very responsive to emails, texts and calls. She does great check-ins and even asked if we needed help with anything the day before. She is the best and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Want a trusted, unobtrusive, thoughtful pro photographer friend on your wedding day? Someone to capture the way the wedding FEELS as well as it looks. A little direction during portrait time, a little leadership during family portraits, and near invisibility all other times? I think you’re onto something. I’m in. What's exciting? What’s important? What's confusing? Let’s sit down for a discovery meeting and I’ll ask, listen, lay out options, and share suggestions. I want to learn about you. I'm on your team 100% before, during, and after your wedding. Bonus: I've shot 400+ practice weddings before yours and I absolutely LOVE what I do!

Olivia was incredible!!! The preparation leading up to our wedding was so easy and Olivia really took the time to get to know us and learn what moments we didn’t want her to miss during our wedding. We didn’t need to worry about a thing on our big day. She was very organized and allowed me and Josh to enjoy the day with full confidence she was snapping all the right pics! We also got them back in record time! Only two weeks after the wedding! We would highly recommend Olivia if you are looking for a photographer who is professional, fun, easy going and super talented!

Vivian Chen Photography

5.0

Richmond, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

My style is natural and photojournalistic. I love capturing unscripted moments because those are the type of photos that tell a richer story of your day. Working with me means nothing overly posed, nothing awkward, nothing that doesn't feel like YOU. While we'll spend some time doing portraits, my priority is for you to be present and enjoy your wedding day. I like to shoot discreetly with an emphasis on candids so from the moment you first see each other to that last hilarious toast, you’ll be relaxed and focused on one another and not even noticed I’m there.

My musical group, Bay Area Strings, has performed at several weddings and receptions where Vivian was the photographer. Her event work is unobtrusive, taking great photographs without anyone noticing! We have ended up using several of her candid photographs of our string players, as she has a great eye for composition and color, with a modern and artistic style that still focuses on personality of the subjects. I have also noticed that her turnaround time to provide high-quality photos to the client and vendors is very fast compared to many others we have worked with.

Two Irises

5.0

Kensington, CA
  • Photojournalistic style

Born in San Francisco, I grew up in West Marin, traveled to the East coast and Ghana for schooling and I am currently based in the East Bay. A mother, gardener, hiker, traveler - I have a background in dance and psychology in addition to photography. I've photographed weddings for more than 20 years.

Cindi and her team at Two Irises turned our wedding memories into incredible photographs that we will enjoy for the rest of our lives! My favorite thing about working with Cindi is that she listened to what I wanted and took photos that I requested (family/wedding party shots, getting ready shots, etc.) but she also took so many candid photos and captured real moments of joy of my husband and I and our wedding guests. Those photos ended up being my favorite pictures! I loved her work so much I recommended Two Irises to our friends, who booked them for their wedding - and in exchange we were gifted a beautiful print of our choice from our wedding! Could not recommend Two Irises enough.

She truly captured all the love, joy and happiness of our wedding day - and we looked so good! Lia is so talented and has completely mastered her craft - we highly recommend her!

Marisa Ruth Photography

5.0

Castro Valley, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

Hey, I'm Marisa! I work with couples to help capture their dream wedding day! Most days you can find me drinking coffee in front of my computer editing the day away. If I’m not home in the SF Bay Area, I’m most likely in the Sierras or at a session off the grid. Outdoor adventures light up my soul! I basically live out of a duffle bag. In my free time you can find me drinking wine with friends, maybe on a run, laying around with my dog, near a lake or finding the best tacos.

Marisa is truly the best! When my husband and I first booked her last year, we were nervous to do our engagement photos, we were and are (lol) not the “photogenic/IG” type couple. But Marisa ran with it and made the whole session comfortable and embraced our quirky-ness! Fast forward to our wedding (2weeks ago) Marisa and her team were a dream! My husband and I didnt feel awkward, they were all so great no matter what scenario and/or event came up! (Insert ants) I’m so happy to have had Marisa be a part of such a special day for my husband and I! There is no one else I would go to for my future life events! Thank you so much Marisa!!

Wanderlust and a social curiosity led me to study photojournalism in the American West where I fell in love with people and places; everything from the way we live and work, build and break, love and pray. Here's to you!

I love our photos of my daughter Anna and her husband Zach's wedding reception. Due to Covid we waited a long time to celebrate, and I was so glad we chose Luke George Photography. I highly recommend Luke, He is professional and fun. He is able to capture the moment and not be intrusive, His pictures are so detailed, using a variety of views such as panoramic and aerial drone. He photographed all the aspects of Anna and Zach's reception and did a fantastic job. His fees are reasonable, and he was generous with his time, not charging extra, and even staying longer than his time was contracted. Thanks Luke

Forevermore Studios LLC

5.0

Brentwood, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,500

Our approach to photography and film making is the result of years of experience and hard work. We love to capture your unique day, your moments, your emotions, and your memories as they unfold. Our photography is a blend of photojournalism and natural/authentic portraits. Our portraits feel organic and bring you right back into that moment.

I would 100% recommend them. Here's why: Communication: Jen and Brian work so well as a team. They're both always so quick to respond. They're thorough, friendly, helpful, kind, funny, and efficient. They presented very clear written communication and made themselves available. Price: What really got me was the fact that I could give the password to our album to anyone and there were unlimited downloads. Plus, the engagement shoot and the wedding were bundled together. Last, broke down what they're charging for in the invoice. Organization/tips: Jen is so well organized and Brian knows just how to support her to maximize that organization. Since I was planning this wedding with no wedding planner, their expertise, tips, and organization skills were very much appreciated. When I asked for advice outside of photography, they were very careful not to persuade my decision to what they thought I should do, but gave very insightful tips to make my own, informed decisions. They helped me create a very clear timeline (for photography) that I used for the entire wedding and went over during the rehearsal dinner. They told our officiant (who was my cousin) to be sure to move away before he tells us to kiss. Since my wedding, I've noticed some officiants are not told this. Equipment: They come VERY well prepared. First of all, they were coming from Northern California. We live in Los Angeles/Orange County area. So they came down twice for our engagement shoot and for the wedding. During the engagement shoot, they had tons of great lighting equipment to do cool shots like the one under the bridge. They scoped out the sun patterns of both sites the day before to be sure they got the best lighting. They encouraged me to bring multiple outfits for the engagement shoot and brought a pop up tent so I could change in the middle of a park. They also has a speaker system we were able to use at the wedding Pictures: My husband and I are both very camera shy. Neither of us have taken pictures with professional photographers before and even my husband said, they made us feel really at ease and he could not imagine getting photographed by anyone else. They took a LOT of pictures. They got everything from details to people. They used their own creative ideas, and also asked for our input. The ONLY thing I have to say that's negative is there are a couple shots where some of the people in the photos are off center or not close enough to the rest of the group and one shot where my husband is doing something awkward in with his hands. Other than that, I really really love their editing style and how they got a good mixture of candids and posed pictures. Video: I especially love how in our ceremony video it caught my cousin saying something funny so my husband wouldn't cry when I was walking down the aisle. I love that they added clips of the speeches, but wished they got my cousin (maid of honor)'s speech in there as well. As far as the rest of the video, everyone that watched it said it was AMAZING! They got great camera angles of the ceremony, my husband appreciated that they took the videos quickly as we were doing the pictures, and they really captured as much as they could. Overall, Jen and Brian: - work very well as a team - take beautiful pictures and edit them well - give great tips without overstepping - are friendly, warm, and fun to work with - give you a lot for what you're paying - are very communicative - go the extra mile

Khariza was awesome from start to finish. We booked an engagement session and our wedding day coverage with her, and she was just so cool and easy to work with. She's responsive, proactive, and clear in her communication. Khariza really fit in seamlessly on our wedding day, made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, taught us how to pose, had great ideas, and was always game to go with our whacky ideas. My wedding party kept telling us how cool, friendly, and professional she was. Book Khariza, it's the easiest decision you could make for your wedding day!

As a Wedding Planner, I recognize the crucial nature of the relationship between a planner and a photographer in bringing couples' dream days to life. In October 2023, I had the privilege of collaborating with Nichole under challenging circumstances when a bride's photographer unexpectedly withdrew on the wedding day without a backup plan or prior notice. Instead of delivering the disheartening news with no solution, I spent two hours that morning searching for a replacement. Fortuitously, I contacted Nichole, and to my relief, her immediate response was not centered around budget inquiries such as "What's their budget?" or "How much are they willing to spend?" Instead, she compassionately stated, "Send the address and details. I'll be there ASAP because no bride deserves to be without pictures on their wedding day." Nichole's swift action and selfless attitude truly saved the day for the bride and groom, who were ecstatic with the photos. This incident not only showcases Nichole's exceptional work but also underscores her outstanding character. Despite reaching out to numerous photographers, she was the sole individual who demonstrated genuine empathy for the situation. Nichole's approach was marked by a delightful and relaxed demeanor, earning her widespread acclaim from everyone at the wedding. The resulting pictures not only exceeded the couple's expectations but also surpassed what they had initially envisioned from their original photographer. The entire situation unfolded seamlessly, and I am wholeheartedly recommending Nichole to everyone indefinitely. From a wedding planner's perspective, if you need a photographer, she is unequivocally the person to choose. Thank you, Nichole, for everything!

Hello! I’m so excited for the chance to work with you. I’m a former teacher who has always had a passion for photography. I started working freelance in 2015 and did a lot of my first jobs in the music industry! I’ve shot Warped Tour a few times and even had one of my promos featured by AP magazine. I quickly realized I loved working with couples the most, and now focus on couple and family portraits and weddings!

Awarded Best of Zola
Thalia was so amazing to work with. I got married the end of August and had spoke with a few photographers before speaking with Thalia straight away I knew she was the one for us. So warm and kind and could put us at ease. Myself and my husband wouldn’t love the camera but Thalia was able to make us so at ease, I was honestly shocked. The photos turned out even more amazing then I thought. Thalia also helped with my timeline I didn’t have a wedding planner and she reviewed it and made suggestions. Was always so helpful on answering questions and worked effortlessly with our videographer you would of thought they were a team. On the night of the wedding Thalia made sure to keep us on track with our timeline reminding us of what we should be at. I can’t recommend enough. Really lucky to have found Thalia.

Gemini Sun Creative is an intimate wedding and elopement photographer serving Northern California, NYC, Upstate NY & Philadelphia. Owner, Daniela Monzi, specializes in elopement and intimate wedding photography. With each couple she works with, she strives to show off the unique traits of their love story in every photo. Her passion for her work is most deeply connected to the process of telling people’s stories through photographs. Most of Daniela's work centers around the human experience, our shared existence, and the quest for revealing the truest form of each person that she documents.

Awarded Best of Zola
After drowning in Zola quotes and estimates, I found Dani online and was immediately drawn to her typeface, website, and company name. She seemed down to earth and photographed all different types of bodies and couples, which was very important to us both. She was quick to jump on a zoom call and we booked her within 20 minutes of talking (and laughing). Dani photographed our wedding (and engagement shoot) in September 2022. While she usually does small elopements, she was so kind as to take on out 125 person wedding – showing up in Vermont for our three day affair (shooting the welcome event, wedding, and Sunday brunch). This girl even jumped on a canoe with my mom to capture our fun Sunday event rafting down the Connecticut River. Dani is extremely professional, organized, and communicative across all platforms (via text, email, and on IG). She had our first round of images from our wedding – I think within 48 hours?!? Dani is dedicated to her craft and just overall an extremely lovely person and was extremely patient with us as I tried to coordinate a wedding from the New Mexican desert while writing a thesis. I feel strongly that she captured everything so beautifully – from the décor, to the venue, to capturing my husband and I in all the emotions – happy tears, calmness, goofyness, sexiness, romanticness – and even obliged my insane request of pulling over and getting some shots in a Victorian Graveyard. Dani is happy to capture whatever you choose to define as romantic, even mossy tombstones in the middle of the woods. Our engagement shots in the city are equally as lovely, despite being a totally different environment. I never once felt self-conscious or aware of myself and just love the love that shines through in each photo. Not only were we so thrilled to have these wonderful photos and memories for the rest of our lives, we are so lucky to also have made a new friend. I received endless compliments on just how lovely the photos were (long exposure images of the milky way with shooting stars – how is that even possible??) and I’m so happy we found Dani and would recommend her to any couple who is looking for photos that are soft, capture the golden hour, and your love. She somehow manages to be timeless without giving you a cookie cutter album of wedding shots. 1000/10 recommend – book Dani to talk about dogs, tattoos, concerts while getting effortlessly beautiful memories of you and your loved ones.

Thanks so much for stepping into my world of photography where capturing memories and emotions through the lens of my camera is a true passion. My journey as a photographer began in my teenage years when my Uncle, an avid photographer, sparked my love for the art by showing me the magic of capturing life's moments. With over 100 weddings under my belt as a lead photographer and mentorship from some of the Bay Area's top wedding photographers, I bring a wealth of experience to each and every shoot. My goal is always to produce images that are not just beautiful but also truly authentic.

Awarded Best of Zola
Hok and his team deserve immense gratitude for beautifully capturing our special day. From start to finish, our experience with Hok was nothing short of fantastic. Our family and guests have been raving about him ever since the wedding, and I couldn't agree more. He even made my Dad laugh, which is not an easy task. Right from our initial meeting, Hok exuded professionalism and friendliness. It was immediately clear that he was not just a photographer but also someone who genuinely cared about making our day perfect. He had a great sense of humor, which put us at ease and made the entire process enjoyable. One of the things that stood out most about Hok was his creativity and expertise. He made countless suggestions for different poses and shots, and it was evident that he had a wealth of experience in capturing weddings. His guidance was invaluable, and it helped us feel more confident in front of the camera. When we received our wedding photos, we were absolutely blown away. Every single image was a work of art, most filled with vibrant colors, and others were artistically converted to black and white, which truly brought our day to life. I wholeheartedly endorse hiring Hok!!

We couldn't imagine having a better photographer for our wedding than Russ. He's such a professional, took absolutely stunning photos for us, and got the photos back to us lightning fast. If he's available for your date, book him fast before he's taken! We had previously used Russ for our engagement photoshoot at SF MOMA and loved the way the photos came out. With the pandemic making a full wedding tricky, we chose to switch to a micro-wedding, with a few onsite guests and more on Zoom, down in southern California (Malibu) and Russ agreed to drive down from the Bay Area to shoot it for us. He arrived early and covid safe in an N95 mask. He's great at putting you at ease all day. We also love that he mostly uses a photojournalistic/candid style that documents everything but doesn't get in the way of your wedding with lots of distractions and staged photos. He takes colorful and sharp photos that really capture the moment and make you look great and feel like a moviestar.

I'm a Bay Area native with over 12 years in the commercial photography realm. I got my start on the beaches of Los Angeles back in 2012 shooting commercial swimwear campaigns for some of the best designers in swim and fashion. That opened the door to countless opportunities with modeling agencies, reality television, and fashion design. In 2018 I made the move back up north to San Francisco where I grew up. With a wide network of friends and family up here, I found myself catapulted into the Wedding and Elopement industry - and absolutely loved it! I'm honored when I get to be a part of one of the best days of a couple's life together.

Awarded Best of Zola
Our experience with Sarah was absolutely fantastic. From the beginning, communication was smooth and effortless, with prompt responses to emails and even video conferences to discuss details. Our photography package included an engagement photoshoot in addition to wedding photography. The quality of the photos from both our engagement session and wedding day was outstanding. One of the highlights was receiving a few 'preview pictures' shortly after each shoot, allowing us to enjoy some beautiful moments right away. The pricing was transparent, and the payment portal was easy to use, making the financial aspects stress-free. Throughout the process, Sarah provided invaluable advice on shot lists and was incredibly easy to work with when it came to posing. If we had a specific idea or location in mind for a photo, she not only took the lead but also enhanced our vision beyond what we could have imagined. She also emailed us ideas and example photos for different locations for our engagement photoshoot, helping us make our vision a reality. On our wedding day, Sarah took many photos throughout our events, including getting ready in the bridal suite, first looks, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, and reception. She was excellent at directing our family members to ensure we got all our posed family photos. Sarah also took some beautiful shots of just us post-ceremony. Throughout the dinner and reception, we felt at ease and relaxed knowing Sarah was there capturing every moment. Beyond the professional aspects, our interactions with our photographer made us feel like we were working with a close friend. She always helped us to feel comfortable in front of the camera, despite us being introverted and inexperienced with being professionally photographed. Her support and encouragement throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding were truly appreciated and added to the overall wonderful experience. We highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a talented and personable photographer for their special day.

My name is Sarahi. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Since a child, I loved photographing with old polaroids and disposable cameras.. My family used to complain about the 100's of pictures I captured and how many rolls of film I used. Now, I look back at pictures from 10+ years ago, and see the beauty of "stopping time" in photos and keeping them forever. I see how it brings happiness to the people around me and myself. Nothing makes me happier than people looking back at precious memories. I can't wait to extend this experience to you and create an everlasting memory that you can carry for years to follow.

Sarahi was so sweet and open in our consultation. We knew from the start that she was the photographer we needed. Jason is incredible. He is a talented photographer and storyteller, and a great business person to boot! He is exactly who you want your friends and family to interact with your wedding day. I would highly recommend him to any person looking to capture the essence of their wedding day and of their beloved family and friends. Regarding the business perspective: my partner and I planned our wedding from afar and from the start Jason was responsive and easy to work with. I admire that he didn’t pressure us on hurrying to book the way other photographers did and he made the time to connect with us. He was also able to process photos quickly and with high quality. Regarding the photos: we purchased his engagement and wedding day package and I could not be happier and think he was priced very competitively. My partner and I had previously had engagement photos done with another vendor and their quality was not even comparable to Jason’s. Because of Jason’s photo journalistic nature and our desire to avoid a lot of staged poses Jason built a beautiful story of us and our engagement and wedding day. His photos are striking, surprising, and beautiful. He captured heartfelt moments that I did not see during our wedding, too. Our friends and family are in love with the photos that we have shared with them and we are so honored to have had Jason capture our wedding day. I cannot wait to look at these photos for years to come and relive our wedding day!

Dedicated to discovering the best love stories, I travel nationwide and also photograph couples from around the world at San Francisco City Hall. Awarded Best Wedding Photographer in Campbell, CA and Los Gatos, CA.

Awarded Best of Zola
I could not recommend Mindy more! She was absolutely fantastic to work with and was extremely thoughtful and helpful with the entire experience. I used Mindy to capture two events, a proposal and and a surprise engagement party. For the proposal, Mindy spend a lot of time with me thinking through the right proposal spot at the location I was looking at to make sure that it worked for the photos, she even got there early to make sure that it worked. She was so well hidden to capture the proposal that for a moment I wasn't sure she was there, but she was and captured it and spent time with us after to take photos. We just got the sneak peak of the photos and they look fantastic. For the surprise party Mindy got there early and started to capture moments even before my fiancee and I arrived, she was really flexible on what worked best for the event so we can't wait to see the final photos!

The Narrative by Jarrod Rigby (Photo + Video)

Venice, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Alameda, CA

Hey future newlyweds! I'm Jarrod, a wedding photographer that specializes in story telling. Tired of all the bright, overposed, cookie cutter sh*t you keep seeing? Let's create wedding images with real emotion, story, and intention to them. I know being in front of the camera can be awkward. That's why I choose not to pose couples, but instead prompt you to do something like "take off your shoes and run across the field" or " get inside the car and kiss everywhere except the lips". These prompts will help you feel comfortable and also help create candid images. Check out my website for more info :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Jarrod and his wife, Taylor, are truly a dream to work with! My husband and I really wanted some simple engagement photos taken, but were reluctant because we’re not totally comfortable in front of the camera and didn’t want the poses/photos to look cheesy. Taylor gave us plenty of suggestions to pose us naturally and kept us laughing which put us at ease immediately. Jarrod was such a professional and really worked every angle and background to make it look like we spent an entire day shooting. The editing was super crisp and clean and the photos came back incredibly quickly. They far exceeded our expectations and we can’t thank them enough for giving us beautiful, lasting memories from such an important time in our lives. This couple is seriously amazing - genuine, fun, and experts at what they do!! Book them!

I was introduced to the world of photography the same week I was introduced to the world! All thanks to my Dad, who was never without his camcorder or camera. Because of him, our memories growing up are preserved. Then I got my first camera + tons of film. I documented everything. When film turned into digital, that was a turning point in my life. Since then, my memories, large + small, have been organized on my computer, by year. So I can go back + revisit so many wonderful memories from my life...most which I wouldn't remember without pictures!

What a pleasure to meet and work with Nicole. She was so friendly and worked so well with the couple and the venue. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for that special touch!

We hired Daniel as our wedding photographer in October 2019 and were very happy with his services. We did an engagement shoot 8 months before the wedding to get comfortable in front of the camera, and we even got some amazing pictures of our cat :) Daniel was always responsive and gave good advice on how to prepare for the day and some best practices. He was extremely kind and our family/ friends and coordinator enjoyed working with him. We had a one hour rain delay on our wedding day and he was extremely understanding and still worked with us to get the best pictures possible. The turn around for our pics was about 3 weeks (but we got some great sneak peaks the NEXT day!!) and we absolutely love how they look. I would highly recommend Daniel for your photography needs- thanks again!! Mia & Matt

Meg Cooper Photography

Guerneville, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,950
  • Serves Alameda, CA

My name's Meg and I'm an elopement & intimate wedding photographer based in Sonoma County in Northern California. When my husband and I started planning our wedding day, we knew we wanted something very different than a traditional, big wedding day. We wanted an experience that was intimate, sentimental, and relaxed. And that's exactly what we created! We kept the traditions that made sense to us, and scrapped the rest without a shred of guilt.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were searching around on Google and Meg Cooper's website showed up. As soon as we saw her photos, we knew that she'd capture the aesthetic we wanted for our wedding photos. Upon reading more about her on her website, we absolutely knew that we had to have Meg as our photographer. We could not be more thrilled with how our wedding photos came out. Meg captured everything so perfectly. We planned our wedding during Covid shutdowns, so decided to do a backyard wedding at my parents' house. We were a little unsure how my parents' backyard would look on camera, but Meg absolutely nailed it! We would recommend Meg in a heartbeat to a friend, and definitely would love to hire her for any future photography needs. We are still in awe over how beautiful our wedding photos are, and we know that we'll cherish them for years to come. Not only did our photos come out amazing, but Meg made our wedding extra special with all of the little touches along the way before, during, and after the wedding. All of the questionnaires and conversations we had beforehand made us comfortable knowing that we had made the right choice in hiring her. Things like calling the morning of the wedding to see if I wanted any coffee or breakfast, sending us a recording of our ceremony while we were on our honeymoon, and sending us the sneak peaks the night of the wedding after an incredibly long day were so incredibly thoughtful. Not only did we get the most amazing wedding photos out of the day, but we feel like we made a friend along the way

He paid attention to detail, was prompt and on time, didn't need to be told to capture certain moments, etc. When it came time for my big day, I knew I had the perfect person in mind. My wife and I decided to go the conservative route and have a small wedding w/ reception dinner at a restaurant. However, based on our wedding photo sneak peaks that Jamaal provided after; you would think it was a bigger wedding that what it actually was! Which is exactly what we wanted. He captured every moment perfect. My wife and I are happy to have worked with J. and hope to use him in the future for whatever occasion we have coming up next! Thank you again J!

She will be there to help make your vision come to life. You can count on her to have your back and lend a hand in time of need.

Leah Marie Photography + Stationery is truly the BEST! Hire Leah if you are seeking a wedding photographer to capture those special moments as this is her beautiful gifting. She was suggested and we fell in love with her personality over the phone. She was radiant, joyful and exuberant. She traveled to North Georgia to photo and without us knowing, she even photographed our rehearsal. One of the qualities that makes Leah stand out above other photographers I've worked with, (I'm an actress and on set often) is her specialized eye on composition, lighting and movement in a photo and the way she makes everyone feel at ease. The photos she captured were published a week later in the magazine BEAUTIFUL. Our wedding was featured in a 7 page spread story about our celebration. The other huge selling factor about Leah is the softness she provides in the finished photo. It is a surreal, warm, quality filled with a love light that is consistent in all of the photos she prepped and sent to us. She delivers such emotional and epic photos. Our videographer was filming and you see Leah photographing us, not missing a moment and she complimented /coordinated with our wedding palette. It was incredible. My sister consistently said how she wished she had a fraction of the talent in her wedding photographer. Leah is a rare gift. You not only get a photographer but a friend and a joyful personality celebrating your special day with you. Didn't miss a moment, talented, professional, easy to work with and turned around photos within moments.

Oklahoma raised, Princeton educated, and founder of Portrait of a Young Couple, documenting how couples of all backgrounds and identities across the world live and love. I'd love to be a part of helping to capture you and your partner's love.

The Experience - My husband and I are both pretty camera shy, so it was really important for us to find someone we felt comfortable with. Vincent managed to win over my introverted husband in a surprisingly short period of time, and was easy to talk to about what we were looking for. Vincent was helpful in guiding us through poses for our couple portraits and also impressed us with how he made our friends and family comfortable throughout the day. The Photos - We wanted lovely photos that we could treasure, but we didn’t want all of the pictures to come out overly filtered or washed out. Vincent’s photography stood out to us because it feels authentic and timeless at the same time. He got the previews and photos back to us in a timely fashion after the wedding, and we were thrilled with how the pictures came out. There was one photo that we wanted something small photoshopped out of the background, and Vincent was accommodating in making that edit that we requested after receiving the photos. The Communication - With so much going on right before the wedding, it was helpful that Vincent checked in on us for things he needed a couple months ahead of time. This helped us know what to figure out and gave us buffer if we were late on getting back to him. He was always quick to respond to our questions, and as mentioned earlier, he was great at communicating after the event as well. Overall if you can get on Vincent’s calendar, I’d happily recommend our wedding photographer to anyone

Tiny House Photo is a LGBTQ+ women owned documenting love stories with intention. Stephanie, the photographer behind Tiny House Photo, is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida but travels often around the country to photograph couples, elopements and weddings.

Awarded Best of Zola
We booked Tiny House Photo for our engagement session and wedding and I cannot recommend Stephanie enough for your special event. Stephanie’s photography is absolutely gorgeous, heartfelt, elegant, humorous, raw, silly, artful, and fabulous. My husband I were completely thrilled with all of our photos. Stephanie documented our wedding day in the most heartfelt way, capturing the essence of every moment. Looking through the photos brought us back to every moment, they enamored us as much as they made us laugh and say things like, “Of course this family member had 3 outfit changes.” Our wedding day was perfect not because everything was seamless and smooth, but because it was exactly what we wanted it to be, and Stephanie helped us both actualize that by giving folks directions when needed and by documenting it so truthfully to help us remember all the joys, laughter, tears, and mild annoyances of the day! What we loved about Stephanie’s photography from the start was its honesty and deep feeling. Her photography spoke to us in a way that was much deeper than getting some fancy or trendy shots of our wedding. We wanted to remember it all – each raw moment that paints the whole picture, each raw moment that has its own value even if it’s unknown at the time. We wanted someone who knew how to connect with all of the deep complexities of existing, that fortunately/unfortunately(?) won’t be put on pause during your wedding day! Stephanie has the gift to create a gorgeous documentary of a special day because she has the beautiful ability to tap into the deeper meaning of both the small and big moments. Her empathy and compassion were felt by all, which was evident in the comfort everyone felt around her. If you’re camera shy, Stephanie is amazing to work with, she helps you feel so comfortable and eventually you forget you’re even being photographed. Stephanie’s boundaries and fierce protectiveness kept things in line, which we so greatly appreciated. She also helped us develop our day of timeline and portrait list. She is a literal wedding guardian angel. Stephanie has such a special gift, and we’re so grateful that she shared it with us. We HIGHLY recommend that you book her for all of your events, especially if you are also a sensitive, deeply feeling, neuro-spicy (as she says!) person. We 100/10 recommend Stephanie for her kindness, professionalism, expertise and sense of humor. I’m already thinking of future photo shoots we can do with her… :)

My professional background was cultivated in the field of architecture and design. But around 2010, my obsession with photography overcame my passion for architecture and I changed course. Through years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve developed a genuine love and appreciation for these emotional events. To me, weddings are emotionally-charged, symbolic celebrations. They often inspire pure expressions, words and feelings from the couple and their family and friends.

We found Duy while doing the rounds looking for wedding photographers, and after the fact, I'm confident we found the best person for the job. What I'm most impressed with is the vision he brought to the event based on the time of year, dress code, venues, etc. His direction and attention to detail showed through in the final product, and he was great at listening to one of our half-baked ideas and making it work! Beyond the pictures, Duy's calming presence was helpful throughout the whole experience, from the engagement shoot to the wedding. He's a great communicator and we felt like he was on our team throughout the whole experience. We always felt heard and truly hope to work with him again. Last but certainly not least, he was priced competitively and on the lower end compared to some of the other quotes we received.

Kristen is fantastic! She is kind, engaging, and has such a warm presence. She made us feel comfortable, even though we are not the most comfortable in front of a camera. She brings tons of ideas to her shoots and helps make sure that there are tons of great photos to pick from! Kristen took our engagement photos in Georgia, and then shot our City Hall wedding in San Francisco and our party in Oakland. She also came back to Georgia to take more photos from a wedding party we had here and they were so stunning! Kristen is very flexible and accommodating and I highly recommend her!

I have been photographing couples for nearly 10 years and have loved every minute of it. I have enjoyed following them through engagement, wedding, maternity and now family sessions. I have even become life long friends with some of them. I am a mother of 3 and have always loved art, and once I picked up my camera and found a way to tell others love stories, I knew I found what I was supposed to do.

Michelle is always my go to when my clients need a photographer! She is great to work with, easy going and produces amazing photos! She is also my number 1 pick for my family photos!! You will not regret choosing Michelle at Valley Images Photography!!

Artistic storytelling for the fun, kind and adventurous. Hi friend! :) I'm your neighborhood artist, goofy empath, & lover of dogs and human beans. (Name is pronounced Hasmeen, kinda like jalapeño) My goal is to be a source of joy and vulnerability in your life while helping you feel grounded on your big day and ~even more~ grateful for the life you live and the love you choose.

My husband and I booked Jazmin for our fall wedding in the panhandle of Texas. Right from the start, she was such a joy to work with! Between our first video call to make sure we were a good fit, doing her online questionnaire (which was a lot of fun), and the call closer to the big day where Jazmin helped my coordinator and I with the photography timeline, Jazmin was helpful, cheerful, and made me feel so at ease. Booking her for our wedding was the easiest choice I’d made all year! This was our first time having professional pictures taken and we are both a bit awkward in front of the camera but we did not feel awkward with Jazmin. On our wedding day, Jazmin and her partner/second shooter were punctual, organized, and just plain fun to have around! To quote my husband; “anytime we need a photographer for anything, you know we can only work with them.” Importing Jazmin from San Francisco for our DIY Texas vineyard wedding was a no brainer for us, and we’d book her again in a heart beat!
