A Lily Among Thorns is a floral design studio in Northern New Jersey. Isabel’s love for flowers stemmed from a young age, as she was often found picking wild flowers barefoot. After receiving her bachelor's degree in English Language Arts, her second love, she found that there was even more poetry to be found in the flowers she had always loved. Now, she works in wedding and event floral design with a limited amount of couples a year.

I started Petal Design Studio in 2006, making the decision to turn a lifelong love of flowers and nature into a career. I am always excited by the challenges and opportunities that each new client brings. For me, an intimate wedding dinner for 20 or a blow-out bash for 300 inspire the same attention to detail and creative expression needed to make an event that is both memorable and delightful.

After 10+ years in fashion working for companies like Calvin Klein and Alexander Wang, Andrew looks at the world of events like the set of a photoshoot. Patrick has been devoted to floral and event design for over two decades. He earned his Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) accreditation through the International Live Events Association (ILEA). A visual and performing artist with an MFA from NYU, he began working in the NYC events industry in 1994 with Richard Aaron (Founder of www.BizBash.com). Patrick received Event Solutions Magazines Spotlight Award for “Designer of the Year” in 2009, during his decade as Visual Design Director for Empire Force Events. Patrick and his team loves to create, consult and collaborate with clients.
