We are a married couple of photographers. Within years of career, we discovered what’s really matters - we want to make people happy. Weddings have it all: new interesting people, touching stories, warm family relationships, tears. A lot of tears! Oh, don’t forget dances and sparklers! So, it’s fun! 🙂 Also, we love weddings because it’s the most challenging kind of photography in the field, it combines all the genres. It make you think, move and react quickly in constantly changing surrounding. We have no room for mistakes. So It’s never boring! 🙂

Hello! I'm Florencia, a wedding photographer based in NY/NJ and I'm looking forward to meeting you! I'm fluent in English and Spanish and I found myself working with multicultural couples a lot. That's one of the many amazing parts of my work. I've been capturing love stories for more than seven years and I LOVE to do this for a living.

Flo is a fantastic photographer. When we first contacted her, she was immediately responsive. After sharing it with her, our concern was whether she had prior experience photographing black people. She reassured us, gave us examples, and ensured we were at ease! She was constantly snapping photos of us, our friends, and our families on our wedding day. Flo and her assistant are efficient, creative, and quick! It was a pleasure to collaborate with them. It was a gorgeous day, and Flo's photos captured it perfectly. All of the pictures were delivered ahead of schedule. Also, kudos to her assistant, who was also fantastic!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Alena as my wedding photographer, and I cannot speak highly enough of her talent and professionalism. From the moment we met her, she put us at ease with her warm and friendly demeanor, and we knew we were in good hands. On our wedding day, Alena arrived early and worked tirelessly throughout the day to capture every special moment, from getting ready to the ceremony to the reception. She was unobtrusive and respectful, but also knew how to direct us and our guests to get the best shots. When we received the photos from Alena, we were absolutely blown away. The quality of her work is simply stunning, and she managed to capture so many beautiful and candid moments that we will treasure forever. Her attention to detail and eye for composition are truly exceptional, and we have received so many compliments on our photos from friends and family. Overall, I cannot recommend Alena highly enough. Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
Justin is AMAZING! Definitely the best vendor we chose for our wedding. Our pictures came out amazing and he really helped us feel comfortable despite our nerves about being in front of the camera. 100% believe he is a star in the wedding photography community and we are so lucky we were able to nab him. If you want great pictures and a great experience, book Justin always.

Hey there, I'm Emma! I am an outgoing and free-spirited photographer living in Manhattan (but born & raised in the Midwest! My heart longs for creating art and telling remarkable stories. I love a good trip to the farmers market, a wine night with my friends, and spending time with my loved ones.

Awarded Best of Zola
The day after our wedding, when my husband and I were still on cloud nine from a weekend filled with family, friends, and love, we took a moment to recall our favorite moments and parts of our wedding, from the speeches to special moments with siblings to the food. We both put on our list of favorite things as "Emma." She was that important to not only the day, but all the prep leading up to it, and we genuinely consider her a friend now. The words I would use to describe Emma are warm, thoughtful, passionate, professional, and genuine. It's a whirlwind choosing vendors and you're afraid you're just another couple and wedding to them and that they've seen it all and perhaps will tire of any requests or things that feel cliche or special to you....but Emma so clearly loves her job and loves the part she plays in making your day special. Emma was always so responsive by text or email and was so helpful when figuring out logistics and timing and brainstorming locations for engagement or family photos. She brought amazing vibes to the actual day and never made me feel rushed or stressed yet naturally kept us on time. And Emma manages to give you sneak peeks and previews so quickly after your wedding when most don't see those photos for months later. And aside from all those things that make working with her the best, she is such an incredible talent. I still get comments from my friends that our engagement photos were the best they've ever seen and inspired some of them to reconsider why they didn't do engagement photos because her vision was so natural. And when we looked through our photos we were laughing, crying, and in awe because she managed to capture so many special moments and the core traits of every single one of our wedding guests. She caught the best friend who cries at her first sight the bride before the ceremony, she snapped the father of the groom cooling off outside but still busting moves off the dance floor, and she captured our pure happiness and love on the best day of our lives yet. This is such a long review, but I need to shout from the mountain tops that Emma is the BEST and you would be so lucky to snag her as your photographer!

Hey, I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you. Summing up who I am in an "about me" is always difficult. What you must know: (1) I'm a nerd. If you want to talk video games, LOTR or Doctor Who, we HAVE to sit down for a bourbon or a coffee. (2) Yes, I will be out on that dance floor with you snapping away while joining in on the fun. And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
It’s somehow already been over a year since we got married, and any time our wedding gets brought up, Mary is the first topic. How wonderful she is, how out-of-this-world talented she is, how much we wish we could be photographed by her again. To only reflect on how accommodating and professional Mary is (and she is) would be a disservice to all of the other things she brought to our day. Ultimately Mary ended up feeling like a vital organ to us. She gave clear direction for a shot, while always managing to let us be completely natural. She felt so intimately a part of each moment, while somehow still cultivating a feeling of total privacy. I also can’t tell you the number of times that either my wife or I couldn’t find our purse, shoes, bouquet, etc. only for Mary to already have it in her hands. She was our constant, our steadying force. We asked Mary to capture our totally sincere obsession with each other in the most organic way possible, and she delivered in spades. I could go on and on, because truly I have never felt more beautiful than in these wedding photos, but the moral of the story is, just hire Mary for everything you want captured in its truest form. You wont be disappointed.

She helped me pick the right spot in the park and factored in all the variables that a guy would typically not think about for engagement photos. I live in Kansas City and worked with her virtually and she was awesome through the entire process. I never met Shelby in-person until the day of our engagement, and she was on-time and ready to get the shot when I went down on one knee. Her photos came out great and we are incredibly happy with them. We have already sent multiple copies to our relatives thanks to her reliable photo sharing portal. Shelby is kind, professional and courteous to work with. DO NOT PASS on her for your next big event photography needs. Thank you again Shelby!

Kim-Trang Photography

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
After my (now) husband and I booked our venue we knew the next vendor that we needed to hire was a photographer. I was a semi crazy bride and I probably interviewed over 10 photographers. We were looking for someone who not only took gorgeous, bright photos but also someone we could personally connect to. As soon as we had our introductory call, we knew Kim was the one! She was so warm and thoughtful during our call - really trying to understand our love story and how we wanted our wedding to be like. I actually cried during our intro call - that's how safe I felt around her. About a couple months after we signed our contract, Kim reached out to schedule our engagement shoot. This is when my husband and I really got to connect with Kim and knew we 1000% made the right choice. Kim was super organized (which we loved) with scheduling the time, picking the location and coordinating the meet up. She made us feel so comfortable and she captured the most stunning photos. She kept us engaged and prompted questions and actions to make sure our engagement photos really captured who we were as a couple and didn't feel posed. She got to learn our goofy personalities and it was a great practice run for our big day. Now for our wedding ... omg I cannot put to words what amazing photos Kim and her team took. We just got our final gallery and it immediately brought us to tears. She was able to capture the perfect balance of posed photos but also candids. Her detail photos made it possible to re-live every moment of the day again. She also made sure we captured all our family portraits (even though they were super large). She truly felt like a best friend who was around during out most special day who just happened to also snap a lot of photos. Our bridal party loved having her around and we were all so comfortable. She made prepping for our wedding day as effortless and stress free as possible. Before our wedding we had calls to walk through our shot list, timelines. She was super engaged and organized - giving all the tips she could to keep us on track. She delivered our sneak peeks SO quickly. We had them a couple days after our wedding to enjoy and cry over them while we were on our honeymoon. She also delivered our final gallery within 2 months! I can't recommend Kim enough- she's not just a super talented photographer but she's also a beautiful soul who has truly become our friend through this whole process. Can't wait to keep re-living our wedding day through her photos!!

I'm in love with human emotions, either it's laughing till it hurts or tears of happiness. When your man hugs you so strong, that you can't breathe or when your dad is crying (for the first time in his life!) listening to your vows at the altar. I do believe, that these un-staged moments are more meaningful than classy portraits on a sunset (but no worries, you'll plenty of both!) If you feel like we are on the same page - let's talk! Write me a few words about who you are, tell me your story and let's create something beautiful together!

We've had our first love story photoshoot with her this spring. Both of us were so shy and new to this, but Dasha not only made us feel comfortable but also be ourselves! All the posing and picture ideas, we didn't have to worry about. And finally, the pictures came out amazing! We were so happy with the photoshoot process and the photos that we knew we wanted her to be our wedding photographer. Dasha was with us from early morning till almost midnight and we couldn't be happier! I even felt like she was one of my bridesmaids and closest friends, always helping around and making me feel less nervous! We just got our wedding pictures a few days back and we just wanted to share them all at once! We're very happy with our choice!! Thank You Dasha for everything!

Our wedding at Wave Hill, Bronx, was a total dream, and a massive shoutout goes to Daria for capturing all the magic of our day. Daria's style is like a blend of real-life moments and fashion flair, and our wedding photos could've easily graced any bridal magazine. She or her assistant - Connor, were like flies on the wall! I was impressed that they were always nearby, but blending perfectly with the guests! She was always super professional, always on time, and kept us calm amidst all the wedding chaos. (And we had a very chaotic day, from missing a cake for a cake cut to me (bride) breaking a heel on my shoes) She's got this incredible eye for capturing raw emotions and tiny details that would've otherwise gone unnoticed. Looking at our photos, it's like we're reliving the entire day. During the portrait sessions, Daria worked her magic, giving us tips that made us look and feel like Hollywood stars. We seriously felt like celebrities, and our friends and family can't stop gushing about how amazing we looked. In a nutshell, if you want wedding photos that are fancy yet down-to-earth, Daria from Fall Marigold Photography is the one. She turned our wedding memories into pure magic.

Hi! You found me! There is nothing I love more than capturing people in their element, whether that be laughing during a portrait session or smiling at the person they love. I think it is crucial to allow clients to feel their best, look their best, and to treasure these memories forever. I specialize in portraits, headshots, fashion photography, engagements, and weddings. I have fallen in love with NYC and the beauty that can be captured through the lens. I always bring in the city to a couple's love, especially if their story started here. I can't wait to work with you and give you the photo experience that everyone deserves to have!

Awarded Best of Zola
Wow-where to start! Emily did our engagement photos on the upper east side this month, and I was completely blown away by the photos and experience. Leading up to meeting for our session, her communication was fast and on point. She was professional, made us feel comfortable right away, and worked hard to execute every type of spot (and shots with our dog) within our greater location and within our time frame. Her work has a special, cinematic quality, and she made us romping around the city look so magical. It meant so much to me to document this time in our lives living in our favorite city, and the photos ended up being absolutely priceless. Would 10/10 recommend her!

Some of our wedding day pictures are simply breathtaking and could easily be on a magazine cover! We are thankful that our amazing day was captured so beautifully! I photograph love because I believe in it. I don’t believe in it in the way that a little girl believes in ferries or unicorns, a hopeful “I think it is real” kind of a belief, I believe in its power. I believe that love is the most important emotion we will feel in this lifetime and I believe it has the greatest ability for good. I believe that each human on this earth should have the opportunity to feel deeply loved and to love another deeply themselves. I believe that love is something that should be treasured, cared for, and celebrated.

Awarded Best of Zola
Two friends of ours used Allison at their wedding, and couldn't stop raving. When we saw the pictures - it was easy to see why. When our turn came, Allison was our first call, and somehow, she was even better than our (already high) expectations. From the initial meetings that just made us feel so at ease and comfortable, through the prep process, everything was just...easy. Even the engagement photos/"love story session" we weren't sure if we wanted...but it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the process and a much needed night in the slog of wedding planning - and it's because Allison made it so special. When the big day came, Allison was again perfect...she kept things fun, moving and well-planned...even through the never-ending family photos, it never seemed like a drag. When we got the pictures...just wow. Our friends described Allison as "capturing peoples' true selves" and that's exactly what she does. Every time we look at the pictures, we're taken right back to the happiest day of our lives, and can feel all the same warm fuzzy feelings we did then from being surrounded with all our friends and family. We're so glad we have these to help us return to those moments whenever we need a little pick-me-up, and we can't imagine anyone besides Allison to have been there to capture them.

A little about me...I love color; maybe the purple hair tipped you off? I almost always have a bag of (biodegradable) confetti on me. You never know when you’ll need it! I have a cat named Icarus who has too many toes and likes to dress up like a lion. I used to work in publishing, where I was mostly getting romance novels published in other countries. I’m in a family band. And I can’t believe my job is to document wonderful, beautiful people and the most joyful moments of their lives. NOTE: Beginning in 2022, I'll be taking on ONLY elopements and microweddings.

Her vibrant photos resonate with couples who gravitate towards color and the details. Mikkel is an avid traveler and will go any distance to capture love and work with fun-loving couples, from the Caribbean, to California, Walt Disney World, Norway and beyond.

Awarded Best of Zola
My wife and I decided to hire Mikkel because of the beautiful photos taken at my wife’s sister’s wedding! The glowing reviews she has from her past clients couldn’t be more true. Mikkel is professional, organized, compassionate, and treats you as if you were her own sister/family member. She truly cares about the couple’s experience and takes that into account from the moment you have your initial meeting with her. My wife and I were worried about being awkward in front of the camera, but mikkel put us at ease and made the entire process fun, guiding us to be ourselves and encouraging us to get lost in the moment! During the twists and turns of our wedding weekend, Mikkel never showed a sign of concern (regarding the tropical storm headed our way), but always stayed positive, assuring us that we would have the most beautiful memories no matter the weather! We can’t recommend mikkel enough! She is an immeasurable addition to your wedding day experience and will leave you with stunning and lasting memories to enjoy for the rest of your life!

I found my love for photography in a high school dark room, and I have continued to follow that passion to find myself today working as a hybrid photographer in both Film and Digital. I strive not to just take pictures, but to capture candid emotions and capture them in a beautiful way. My photography is personal and intimate. My approach is a mixture of fine art and documentary, I try to capture your moments and day as it happened but highlighting the special details and taking advantage of the best lighting. As a lover of history I love capturing personal and family histories that surround weddings.

Awarded Best of Zola
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! When we decide to have a wedding and not elope we knew our budget would be tight, but the photographer was the one thing we weren’t willing to compromise on. The catering and the venue could be modest, but our photographs will be part of our big day forever. Judson is the most kind and professional person we have worked with for our wedding. She was able to assist us through out the whole engagement through to the wedding day. Her artistic talent speaks for itself in the quality of our pictures. We couldn’t of asked for a more lovely person to work with. She was able to help us express our love and capture the true beauty of how we were loved.

Not only is the output artistic and amazing, their kindness and patience is incredible. Day of my wedding, I was stressed out - until Hanel walked in. I knew we were in good hands because he is a great director for where to go and what to do. I found Hanel because my brother used him for his wedding, a cousin used him, and of course I had to too. Emma Cleary Photo and Video

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

After graduating from Parson's School of Art in Manhattan, I worked as a fine artist, my work involved photography and photo manipulation. I quickly discovered that I loved and excelled at photo retouching, and went on to work for some of the best photo retouching studios in New York. In 2009 I shot my first wedding, it was a dear friend of mine and the beautiful photos were featured in one of the biggest wedding magazines. I realized that I had found my calling and have been producing stunning wedding photographs with my amazing team and clients ever since.

I was referred to Emma Cleary via a gf who had just had her wedding shot and said she did great work so I was happy to get a glowing referral while trying to source vendors. Emma was a godsend for me, because my wedding had so much that I wanted to cover, with so many moving pieces (7 musical acts, 20 performers, etc.) at so many different locations (a memorial area for first look, then over to a Park for ceremony, then a boat to an Island for the reception) via different modes of transportation (car, ferry, boat, 2nd line parade) over multiple nights (we shot both Friday -Sunday am) but her and her team came along for the entire ride and nailed it and I got AMAZING photos for every part. The lead photographer was so on it (which we needed bc we were on such a tight schedule) and the other photographers were also great and told us jokes which helped me actually get genuine smiles and helped so much during the stressful first look. My veil blew away during my photos (before the ceremony, sigh) and they were there trying to climb the tree to get it (but it was way too high up!) but A+ for effort. And the best part was that she actually SAVED my wedding... we had planned on getting married next to a carousel inside a public park, and the carousel party coordinator didn't file the required permit we needed so a hour before I walked down the aisle the park rangers came in and forced the setup/guests out. Emma knew the owner of a nearby restaurant where she had shot wedding photos before and asked the owner if we could use in front of his restaurant (facing the water) as a ceremony site. If that had not happened then who knows where I would have gotten married. She worked with my wedding planner and my guests (and us too!) had a place to have our ceremony last second... she was a total life saver during such a stressful and important moment. And then at the end once we received the photos, my favorite part was the light editing which was just the right amount, not too fake, so was perfect. Some of the photos dont even look like we are in a city which I just loved loved loved and had said I wanted, and then when we wanted city or actions shots she got those too so we had options of everything we did in every way. There is one shot where she got the end of our first dance and it looks like we are in a Broadway play! Anyways, as you could tell I couldnt have recommended any more bc she has so many years of experience it helped us with not only capturing the moments perfectly, and in a perfect way, it also helped us bc she knows all the wedding venues and wedding industry people and I never realized how much that plays a part in booking vendors.

I live in New York City and Northwest CT with my wife and our two rescue dogs. I am a commercial lifestyle and wedding photographer. My creative journey began when I spent a decade touring the country with my indie rock band, The Booda Velvets. While on tour I was always taking photos with my dad’s old Pentax film camera and a Polaroid SX70. During this time, my passion for documentary style photography was born and after touring I traded the guitar for the camera and haven’t looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
Firstly, and most importantly, the photos were beautiful. Gorgeous light, warmth, and composition. Adam delivered a comprehensive selection of photos to us that really captured the energy of our wedding. He was attentive and made sure we got all the posed photos we wanted, but during the party portion was unobtrusive and able to melt into the atmosphere to capture some amazing candids. He is a very pleasant and organized person as well - with plenty of experience - so he was able also to guide us in some important decision making. This is a photographer you can trust! Specializing in editorial portraits and fine art photography, I strive to convey the essence of human experiences, evoking genuine emotions and telling captivating stories with a unique artistic style. I previously worked with Zarnab as a second shooter at a wedding. As an experienced photographer myself, I know that it's not just about clicking pictures; it's about weaving narratives, immortalizing emotions, and encapsulating love in its purest form. Through a blend of skillful photography and subtle direction, we were together able to document the essence of the couple's relationship in its purest form. However, post-production was where the magic truly unfolded. With meticulous attention to detail, Zarnab enhanced each image, preserving the authenticity of the moment while elevating its visual impact. Her eye for composition is matched by her desire to do the best job in service to her clients. I would describe myself as a minimalist on the outside, Liberace on the inside. Obsessed with: dogs, dog-like cats, oysters, urban planning, and really excellent stand-up comedy. I'm originally from the majestic state of New Jersey, and live in the Ditmars section of Astoria, Queens. When I'm not photographing weddings, you can bet I'm either reading or writing fiction (currently working on a project set in Pennsylvania coal country, where my grandfather grew up), watching or rewatching great television

I have been sitting on doing a review for Alexis for a while now because I can't even find the words to describe how thrilled we are with our photographs. From the very start she was an absolute joy to work with by being so helpful and sweet throughout our planning process. We did not want the conventional "posed" wedding pictures- we were going for a much more genuine journalistic/ documentary approach. The candid moments are the types of pictures that break your heart with awe. You can literally hear the laughter, tears, music and clinking of glasses as you scroll through the shots. She captured the beauty of our venue in ways we did not even have the chance to appreciate during the whirlwind of the day. Our favorite part is how she was so natural and calm (even with our overwhelming doting Italian family) that there were times we didn't even notice she was there. She was voyeuristic at the best times and yet in moments where it was hectic and we felt overwhelmed she was instrumental, extremely organized and provided structure. She also was so much fun! On top of her eye for BRILLIANT photography, she has an amazing sense of humor. My friend snapchatted me dancing like a mad woman to Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody and in the corner of the frame Alexis (unbeknownst she was being filmed) is taking pictures of the party and singing along to the song- having a blast! That 7 second clip speaks volumes about her sparkling personality. She truly loves what she does and it shows in the amazing finished product. Additionally she was a wonderful resource for planning. She very much understands the "Out of the Box" bride that wants something a little more different and unique and she is great at giving advice on all aspects of a wedding. The compliments about our pictures are endless! We keep finding ourselves pouring over the album over and over again, reliving and savoring every special moment Alexis gave back to us.

Photography has been Bo’s passion for many years. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree and began working for a local photography studio. Later she joined a more elite photography company where she worked for over six years honing her knowledge and skills as a professional photographer. Bo took her experience and established Bashful Captures. Her work has been featured by several leaders in the wedding industry.

Bo was both our engagement and wedding photographer and she’s honestly the best! Not only is she just an overall amazing photographer and person, but she really was one of the best vendors we got to work with throughout our whole wedding process. She’s soooo helpful and was always there to answer any questions that we had which made things so much more easy for us through all that wedding madness! She’s also so so sweet and made all of our photo shoots so much fun. Our engagement and wedding photos came out absolutely GORGEOUS!!! We had so many people reaching out to us about her services because they loved our photos too! If we could do it all over again, we would book her a million times over. We seriously can’t recommend her enough. You can tell she really cares about her clients and that she puts in the effort to actually get to know you as a couple outside of everything else. We’re so happy to have gotten the chance to work with her and we have no regrets!

I’ve dedicated years to learning the ins and outs of wedding formalities, but it’s the oft-forgotten bits of emotion that make the day feel so exceedingly special, not the shot list. With a day full of nothing but emotion, it’s easy for some moments to slip past unnoticed, but not by me. I’ll be there to make sure the heart of your day makes its way back to you — so you can remember what really mattered on your wedding day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Words would never do them justice but i will try — I wouldn’t want anyone else to of been there photographing our special day! The first time we met Madison and Zac we knew they were the right fit, their style was everything we wanted - bright, not too photoshopped pictures, candid moments & photos that would take us back to our wonderful wedding day just by looking at them. Every time we look back on our gallery it’s literally like reliving that day! They did our engagement shoot, rehearsal dinner + wedding day. Traveled all the way from FL to Pittsburgh, PA for us during a pandemic!!! They will forever be our go to photographers as long as they and we stay local! HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Greens!

Twah is pronounced as it’s spelled or like “3” in French. My boutique photography business is rooted in NYC but always ready to travel the world. As a former NYC Fashion Designer, I take my knowledge of style & weave it into my photography approach. I believe: 1. Your wedding day should not be spent in long posed formal photo sessions. 2. Personal details are an integral part of your day’s story. 3. Wedding images should be timeless yet stylishly current and natural. 3. Making the most of a rainy day or a mishap usually ends up being fun memories to look back on. 4. Beauty is within. Positivity radiates. Authenticity is perfection.

Twah is, first and foremost, an amazing artist. Add to that professionalism, a warm energy, a careful hand, planning and scouting prowess, mad technical skills, AND the ability to summon the sun... and you get the perfect photographer! Twah and Ryan captured both our sensational and our quiet moments, in several locations around the island, and weaved them together in her soft-yet-edgy style to tell our story. Our photos are stunning. We can’t recommend Twah enough!

FABRICE TRANZER

What keeps me wanting to photograph more weddings is the realization that every wedding carries a different story longing to be told. No two weddings have ever felt the same to me, and when I walk into yours, all the images I have made at other weddings are forgotten. I see it a bit like jazz, or French cuisine--the ingredients are simple and pretty much always the same, but the outcomes are always unique, never to be reproduced to the identical.

Awarded Best of Zola
Fabrice is a phenomenal photographer and we loved working with him for our wedding. He was easy to work with both in preparation for the big day, and on the day itself. He has a special eye that captures moments perfectly, and ties them together to make you feel like you’re watching the day on film (yet it’s all ‘still’ photos). He is an artist and a master of his craft. I’m honored and grateful we had the chance to work with him. In addition to all of the above, he delivered our photos in a very reasonable amount of time (can’t recall exact timing). Within a week, he sent a slideshow to a Bon Iver song that my husband and I watch a few times each year (we’re on year 3 of marriage), and we both tear up every time. While he must have taken thousands of photos, he didn’t send us every last one. He did a great job hand selecting plenty… and not giving us 30 of the same’ish’ shot. We really appreciated that. We opted to purchase an album from him which was an investment we would make over and over again. While he let me help with the design, he truly knows best. In my opinion you do not need a videographer if you invest in the right photographer. Fabrice is the right photographer.

Hi, I am Sasha. I am the creator of Sasha Chou Photography Studio and PicVoyage. I’ve always had a passion for photography. Yet, it wasn’t until I specifically started working as a wedding photographer that I understood the real power of capturing a once-in-a-lifetime kind of moment. I love to travel. I have visited over 35 countries and still counting. I love dancing, especially ballroom dancing. If I am not working, you will find me dancing Latin, Salsa, Samba, Waltz, and Tango at Manhattan Soho studio. I love family and friends. One of my favorite things is to hang out with family or friends for a lovely Sunday brunch.

We had such a great time working with Sasha and her team of photographers and videographers for our wedding. Sasha was always quick to respond to us starting from our initial inquiry to everything else that came after, and especially when discussing changes to ensure we were on the same page before moving forward. She was very easy to work with and spent ample time with us during planning to ensure we were comfortable with the photographers' and videographers' styles. She also ensured the team was well aware of all the events and moments that we wanted captured. The team was fantastic on the wedding day. We had a full day with 3 different stops between Brooklyn and Manhattan that included two Chinese tea ceremonies, and pre-wedding photos all in the hours before the ceremony and reception. The team arrived early to each location, never missing a beat. Every moment that we asked for was beautifully captured in our photos and videos. We purchased three photo albums, one for ourselves which was included in the package, and two more for our respective families. Our albums were unfortunately in production and shipped during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the albums were in poor condition. We brought this up to Sasha's attention and she immediately agreed that they were not up to her standards and expectations. Sasha did not hesitate to call us and presented us with a couple of alternatives within a day. Ultimately, the new albums came two weeks later and were even better than what we hoped for. They are perfect! We love our photos, videos, and photo albums. Sasha and her team were very easy to work with and always listened to our input. We highly recommend Sasha Chou Photography to other couples for their big day!

I stay behind the camera because I'm more than a little introverted. That is, until I get to know people. Then I open up and we can talk about movies, music, dogs (I'm happy to show you pictures and videos of my rescue dog). I love what I do because I get to capture moments between you and the most important people in your life that you'll be able to relive for decades to come!

Casey photographed my wedding in 2008. We chose him because we really found his photography to be stylish and beautiful without being pricey or pretentious, and we found it in him. Of course we had a budget, but Casey worked with us every step of the way to make it work without pressure. He made eye contact when we spoke, took notes and was attentive and sensitive to every detail. I finally felt seen. I didn't feel like I was just another bride. In that moment; I was THE BRIDE. At the wedding he was a calming presence, as he and his assistant helped with details sometimes above and beyond his job description. When it came time to actually pose with some family members, he was patient and his comedic personality kept us all entertained through those "mandatory photos". The rest? Well it was on artistic auto-pilot from there, it was incredibly smooth. He is able to move around the room capturing the pure emotions that made your day, yours. I remember him being there of course, but I just remember having the best time of my life;not if I closed one eye or had lipstick on my teeth. Our photos were the simply the best photojournalism I had ever seen. My jaw dropped because I don't consider myself photogenic AT ALL (hello, double chin! Just why? EVERY pic from girl's night..really?) but there it was. I looked GOOD. Everyone did. Great light and texture...high-def LOVE. It was INCREDIBLY difficult to narrow down the pics we wanted to an amazing album that he retouched to perfection and arranged! So. In conclusion.... Stop. Looking. Further. You found him. Be Happy. And Congrats on one of the first of many smart decisions as you begin your new life together.

Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

Jenny was incredible! She was the perfect fit for our wedding. I chose her from her reviews and her amazing photography style, I only FaceTimed her before the wedding (never met in person because we already had our engagement photos done) and she made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera immediately after meeting her. I’m pretty particular, and I LOVE someone who is as particular especially in their craft, and Jenny is ON TOP OF IT. If even a single hair was not where it should’ve been, or if your arm, leg, or anything could be moved to look better, she would notice it and adjust it before taking photos, so the photos came out AMAZINGGG!! She cares about the details and the little things that take photos from great to amazing. She was everywhere all at once, and she was fantastic at direction for a big group and getting people on task and on time. Thank you so much Jenny!!

CLY BY MATTHEW has evolved at year 2004 from fashion, portrait and still life photography to the wonderful world of wedding photography, which incorporates all three genres. We follow a non-intrusive photojournalistic style for your weddings, which our clients (and their guests) very much appreciate. We concentrate not only on the big picture, but also we take pride in capturing the sincere fleeting moments that evoke the senses the very essence of photography.

Where do I start…I have so many things to praise about Matthew and his team at CLY by Matthew. The search for our photographer took forever, but once I found CLY and Matthew’s work, it was essentially an instantaneous decision. I left the intro meeting/conversation 100% sure we’d hire him. His and his team’s photography is beautiful, elegant, classic, and natural – and it was so easy to work with them from a fit and personality standpoint. I’ll admit, it’s a little awkward to pose for photography! But in the months leading up, and the day of, the wedding, Matthew and his team made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Matthew is one of the kindest people ever, and his calm demeanor made everything so pleasant and easy (especially with the frantic nature of wedding planning!) We are in LOVE with the photos we got back. We still can’t even believe it’s us, and our wedding, because the CLY team captured everything so amazingly. It’s surreal! We are so lucky to have found them and worked with Matthew. I’m hoping to find an excuse in the future to work with him again for professional photography. If you’re here and in the middle of researching photographers, stop reading and contact CLY immediately. You won’t regret it, I promise you.

I’ve always enjoyed people immensely, from all walks of life and from wherever I’ve been in the world. I’m friendly, easy-going, curious, kind, supportive, and flexible. I listen and observe. These characteristics, combined with my artistic vision and technical expertise, allow me to capture poignant, humorous and truly candid photos of people and their environment.

I searched for a photographer to capture my surprise proposal to my then-girlfriend and am I glad I found Laurie. She was flexible, professional, helpful, and above all really good at taking photographs. We worked through an initial cancellation, she rescheduled with me around the holidays, she knew where and how to take the best shots and she struck the perfect chord of incorporating our wishes during the surprise engagement shoot while standing true when she knew where a good shot would come (and she was right). From meeting with me for a walk-through a few weeks before the surprise to perfectly blending into the crowds at Central Park for the surprise engagement, Laurie went above and beyond and really made the surprise engagement one my fiancé and I can remember forever.

We hired Virginie at the recommendation of our wedding planners at Matthew Robbins Design. Working with Virginie was an absolute dream - we first met a few months before our wedding, where we explained our vision, what we hoped for in terms of photography, and how the day would run. She stayed with us for hours, talking through ideas, showing us ideas and inspiration. We walked away so grateful to be working with her. Flash forward a few months to our wedding day, and I was so thrilled to see Virginie's face as I was getting ready. She is such a beam of energy, support and goodness - exactly what you want on your wedding day! She creative directed us so that we felt relaxed and happy, but knew that we were getting beautiful images. She captured EVERY. BEAUTIFUL. DETAIL of our wedding day - from the beautiful first look, to images with our family and friends, our ceremony and then those crazy/fun/wild dance floor pictures. We are over a year out from our wedding and still find ourselves poring over our wedding photos at least once a week. They are such a beautiful reminder of the amazing, special day we had, and it would not have been possible without Virginie. We were SO lucky to work with her and recommend her without hesitation. She is so talented and just a wonderful, wonderful human. We can't wait to work with her again!

We got married in upstate NY at a Farm and Jacqi and her assistant provided us great energy both the day prior and day of. They scouted out our venue the day prior and we talked through what we envisioned the day would be like and sure enough, everything was flawless. We (Melissa & Michael) became wedding photographers because we truly believe we have something different to bring to the table. Our goals are simple: to help you relive each moment of your wedding day every time you look at your images, make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and blend into the crowd like we're your guests. We pride ourselves on open & honest communication with our couples, a seamless booking-through-wedding-day process, super speedy photo delivery, and lending a helping hand in any way we can.

This review is long overdue and well deserved. If you only have time to read one more sentence: Hire Melissa and be confident that you will get the photos and vision you want on your special day! We partnered with Melissa at Sava Studio for our wedding this past September and she shot, composed and edited our engagement photos as well. Melissa as a vendor is responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, creative and gregarious. She was always open and transparent with us, patient listening to what we thought we wanted and our vision and was always available to offer feedback as we requested. She walked us through the entire wedding process with respect to the photography aspect and she also offered assistance as we needed in related areas as we got closer to our wedding date. Our first interaction with her was our engagement photo shoot and Melissa made my partner and I feel comfortable while she was shooting and she was very flexible in the shots we wanted to take and what we wanted to see. Very importantly for me, Melissa has a great eye for a memorable photo! Getting to see the raw photos as well as the edited ones Melissa showed us her talent and professionalism. We shot in bright sunlight, shade and darker areas and Melissa was able to handle it all. Our wedding was a few months later at our parents house and the area that the ceremony took place in was unique in that there were a lot of trees/shadows/light patterns to manage. Melissa handled it all! She and her partner used every trick in the book to get the best photos of my wife and I and were able to take some classic natural/unposed shots of us. It speaks to her professionalism and vision that she knew where to be and when to get the best shots! Post-wedding, Melissa had us a sizable preview to review almost 24 hours after the wedding so she could collect feedback before sending us our final photo collection. Once sent, Melissa/Sava made it very easy for us to share photos with family and friends and access them in the future for when we wanted to reminisce. We can't thank Melissa enough and we recommend Melissa at Sava for all of your photography needs!

Hi. My name is Mayleen and I am so happy you're here. I am a spanglish speaking, iced mocha drinking, picture taking Miami native now living in NYC for sometime. I love to photograph love stories and weddings. I'd like for us to connect since we will spend most of our time together on your wedding day. Besides your Fiancé. It's important to me that you trust me and feel relaxed so that I can bring out those authentic smiles and moments.

Mayleen was our wedding photographer and she captured our day perfectly. She works great with kids and had my husband laughing all day. I highly recommend her for your wedding and she is wonderful with people who don't know how to pose. She is amazing at coaching you each step of the way for natural looking photos.

I was voted Friendliest in high school (very proud of that fact), and I genuinely love what I do. I cry at every wedding, and I usually cry again when I'm editing your photos. I used to be an actor on Broadway and TV, and I think that makes me a stickler for making sure your photos are authentic and believable. (And I will help you get there!) I'm married to a wonderful man, so I've been through the wedding planning from the other side (ahh!), and we have an adorable little dog. :)

David is an absolute gem! For two people who hate having their pictures taken, my husband and I had a blast working with David. He makes the whole process so fun and exciting. Not to mention, David takes GORGEOUS photos that capture moments and pure emotion. I would recommend David, again and again to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. The best of the best!

At Gruber Photographers, we are inspired by one simple truth, “A moment is defined not only by its subject but also by the effect it has on those who share it.” We believe life’s milestones deserve to be photographed with this in mind. Every detail large and small. Every feeling from only the right angles. From the behind-the-scenes preparations to the spotlighted celebrations. Un-scripted, un-posed and nothing like traditional wedding photography.

Awarded Best of Zola
It's hard to put into words how incredible Gruber Photographers are! From our first meeting, sending us little packages leading up to our wedding, to staying in contact after our wedding, they amazing to work with. The photos speak for themselves, they are simply stunning and timeless - I know I will love looking at them for years to come! They helped us think about every detail leading up to the wedding and made great suggestions when needed. Were flexible with their packages - we had her come to our rehearsal dinner instead of doing an engagement session. On the day of our wedding, they made us feel comfortable and that we could really be ourselves. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have worked with you guys!

They were such a pleasure to work with and we are so excited to see our final product!

As my Instagram bio says, I'm a country girl by birth, a city girl by choice and a photographer by obsession. I grew up on a farm in a small Midwestern town, but have lived in New York City for over 25 years. As a photographer I say I'm self-taught, but in reality I've had the benefit of amazing mentors and teachers along the way who helped me elevate my work and pursue joy along with results. When not making photos or hanging out with my husband and kids, you can find me with a book in hand or listening to music while indulging my love of textiles at my sewing machine (yes, I really own a sewing machine)! Oh, or dancing! :-)

"I work with a lot of vendors in the course of a wedding season and the ones that stand out are those who bring a positive energy and camaraderie to their work. Amy Milstein is exactly that type of person. Not only is she a great photographer, but she's fun to work with and I've noticed that the couples feel very calm and comfortable with her, which is so important! I'd definitely recommend her to any couple looking for a great documentary style photographer. "

I've been photographing weddings since 2010 and it's something that I feel incredibly fortunate to do. It really is remarkable to be able to combine my love for photography and storytelling in capturing the stories of so many wonderful couples in a genuine and authentic manner over the past 10 years. I currently reside in Brooklyn, New York with my wife, our daughter and our two cats. When I'm not photographing weddings you can find me exploring the streets of New York City with my camera, enjoying a good cup of coffee, visiting art galleries, and spending time outdoors.

James was fantastic. Really easy to work with and so helpful especially since my partner and I really didn't know what we wanted or should ask for. James was so nice, patient, and really guided us through the whole process and kept so calm on the wedding day, it made us feel calm. Im not a fan of kissing photos and I don't know what magic James has because he made me like a photo of me kissing my fiance. James is amazingly efficient with his time and made the whole wedding day photo shoot quick and we ended up having extra time.

“Photography takes a moment out of life…and holds it still” A small collection of photographers who strive to capture the emotion and energy of life’s significant moments in a sophisticated yet understated light hearted way.

My husband and I cannot thank Hechler Photographers enough for everything. It was such a joy shooting with Julio for our engagement shoot in downtown Manhattan and our Rehearsal Dinner at the Union League Club in NYC, and we loved shooting with Julio, David, and John (the videographer) on our wedding day that took place on May 18, 2024 at the Metropolitan Club in NYC. From the moment we met David (recommended by our amazing planner, Jeff Stillwell of Stillwell Events), we knew it was a wonderful match. David is extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and an amazing listener. When David referenced notes from our very first conversation a year and a half later (just a little under a month from our wedding), I was beyond impressed and truly touched. We greatly appreciate how David, Julio, and John were all able to quickly respond in the moment and pivot as needed, whether it was to ensure my hair could be touched up to stay perfectly in place or that we could have time to relax before key moments (e.g., the ceremony). As an incredibly detail-oriented bride, I am so grateful for all the attention to detail that was demonstrated from the beginning of our wedding day to the end of the evening. David, Julio, and John managed to strike the perfect balance of making their presence known, while blending in perfectly (one of my friends had commented that most photographers & videographers she had seen at weddings were so loud and even disruptive). Not this team!!!! I will also be forever grateful for all the encouragement and helpful tips and pointers/direction that David and Julio provided throughout Friday and Saturday to make sure that everyone looked and felt their best while remaining confident in being themselves. I still have Julio’s voice in my head saying, “Work it!” I am so grateful that David and Julio were able to capture all the photos and videos on my extensive shot list, and then some!! My husband, our families, and I cannot wait to see these photos and videos - if the engagement shoot photos are any indication of what's to come, these photos and videos are going to be absolutely magnificent. David, Arthur, Julio, and Casey, thank you for everything! It has been such a pleasure working with you all. This past weekend felt like heaven on earth, and I’m so glad we chose you all to capture these memories we will cherish forever and ever. -Nicole & Kyle May 18, 2024

Silverfox Studios

In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. When it came time to name this newly formed company, there was only ONE name it could possibly have – Silverfox Studios.

I have been working with Silver Fox Studios for more than 10 years. John and his team are professional, courteous, honorable and kind aside from being great photographers. It is a pleasure to work with the Silver Fox, they always go the extra mile for their clients and always work seamlessly with my team.

I have been a photographer for 21 years - it all started when my Mom gifted me my first camera to take on a trip. I shot 30 rolls of film, in a week, all in black & white. A decade later, I sat down to really think about what I wanted from life. At the time, I was playing professional soccer in Denmark, and knew that that experience had an expiration date. I wrote down what I love most - I LOVE people, travel, & photography. I hung up my cleats that very year and went full steam ahead into the most rewarding career I could have ever chosen. Photographing couples & their loved ones on the happiest day of their lives.

Leila was amazing to work with! She produced gorgeous photos, which we got back 2.5 weeks after our wedding. She also made us feel extremely comfortable on our wedding day!! Highly Recommend!!

As your wedding photographers we are here to document your love, so don't hold anything back. Share ALL of your emotions with us and forget the "photo shoot" aspect of it. Focus on enjoying the day with your loved one and embrace the spontaneous moments. We want you to just be you! We only ask that you trust us, dream with us, and allow us to create something beautiful together.

Jess and Andrea of Forever Photography truly made our wedding on 5/29/22 so enjoyable. My husband (!!!) and I come from HUGE immediate families, so we knew it would be a lot to get everyone together for photos. Not only did Forever make the family portraits (and EVERY part) so insanely relaxing and fun, they are also incredibly kind people with talent that is shown through every photo. I've been to so many weddings where the photographers just point and shoot and don't really seem to care much about the outcome, but each photo the team takes, you know they put their heart and soul into it. My entire family and bridal party have raved about how this duo made what can sometimes be a dreadful/boring experience such a seamless and enjoyable one. From our engagement shoot a year ago to our wedding day, we know we made the right decision choosing them to be a part of the most special time of our lives. Having already received some preview photos, we are blown away and have been sharing them with everyone! It was really important to us to have a great photographer, but we didn't realize just how lucky we were to have chosen Forever until the day of the wedding where they made every moment enjoyable, really cared about making us feel comfortable, and were so patient and understanding. And when we saw the photos, we were absolutely blown away and cannot believe they captured our love, our family and friends, and our wedding as a whole so perfectly. We are FOREVER grateful!
