Question

How did y’all meet?

Answer

Zack came to LaGrange College in 2016 to play football for the Panthers. We had two classes together, Math and Music. I (Elizabeth) saw Zack within the first few weeks of the semester and thought he was cute. Although, he never knew I existed. Weeks went by, and I never had the guts to talk to him because I didn’t want him to be another cocky football player. I had just recently joined Kappa Delta and we had a Semi-Formal coming up. I really wanted to go with Zack, but we had never talked, crazy right?! I finally told my mom to watch out for him in the campus cafe, and see if she could talk to him. She had a student working with her, who happened to be a football player, that she asked if he knew Zack. So, the next day, he went to Zack and told him that a blonde headed girl with a weird last name liked him but was too shy to speak. A couple days later, I got a Facebook message from Zackary Patrick saying, “How do you think you did on the music test?” and that’s where it all began.

Question

Why doesn’t he live in LaGrange?

Answer

The night of Semi-Formal, he asked me to be his girlfriend (only after 9 days of talking, CRAZY). Of course I said yes, but there was a catch. He told me that he put in his papers to transfer back home (3 hours away) just a week prior to us meeting. Boy oh boy was I mad. But, I just had this feeling that we could make it work. I had fallen head over heels for some boy in only 10 days! Looking back, I think I was crazy. But, being apart has taught us so much about ourselves, each other, our relationship and even how the interstates all work together! This has been the adventure of a lifetime already, so I can’t wait to see what marriage has to throw at us!

Question

Where is Zack actually from?

Answer

He’s from Banks County, Georgia. A small little town called Alto. It’s about 30 minutes from Gainesville, and 20 minutes from Helen.

Question

Why 2020?

Answer

We both are in college, which is very important to both of us. He will graduate in December 2019 with a degree in Automotive Technology and I will graduate in May 2021 with a Bachelor’s Science of Nursing. Nursing school is going to be very tough, so a longer engagement only seems fit.

Question

Is he moving to LaGrange or are you moving there?

Answer

As of right now, he will be moving to LaGrange. My whole entire family lives here, but we will be making trips to see his family often. Who doesn’t love the North Georgia Mountains?! He moved into my sweet grandmamas rental house that we remodeled in December 2019! This is where we will live when we get married.
