As Jaime runs his last bus trip for the MTA New York City Transit, he noticed Shemeka waiting at the local line bus stop on a dark rainy night in one of Brooklyn’s worst neighborhoods. Even though it was against the restrictions of his work, due to the change of his route from a Limited bus to a Local bus; Jaime did not feel comfortable passing her by. So he stopped to pick her up from the bus stop. The moment Shemeka stepped into the bus, Jamie could not help but to stare at her because she was so beautiful. He then told her he would give her his number on her way out. As Shemeka was getting off the bus, Jaime offered his number knowing that he wanted to see her again. His great excuse was to make her safe. A short while after he dropped her off, he received a thank you text from Shemeka. Little did he know, that would be the start of a beautiful journey.

Due to a recent promotion at work, Shemeka's commute changed to having to take the NYC MTA bus from taking cab rides or driving to the airport. On her second day of her new commute, Shemeka met the man of her dreams. On a rainy and dark night in Brownsville, Shemeka was waiting for her final bus from a long first bus ride. She noticed that a bus stopped in front of her and that the route of the bus had changed from a local to a limited line. She asked the driver if he knew the route had changed and he gave her a “duh” look. She then made sure that he would drop her off at her local bus stop, which he agreed to do. She was so appreciative that he would make an extra stop just for her. The ride home was awkward because Jaime mentioned that he would give her his number upon leaving the bus. During the nerve recking ride home, Shemeka noticed Jaime's eyes on her through the rearview mirror. She kept staring out the window, so she would not have too much eye contact. Because it was a stressful ride, she appreciated his offer of taking her home. Besides that, she thought he was sweet and handsome. When she got home, she decided to send him a thank you text. Little did she know, that night would change her life.

Jaime and Shemeka went over to Shemeka's sister's house for a Christmas Day Celebration. Shemeka was told Jaime had the first gift for her. When Shemeka opened the box, there was a disk that said "Watch me." A montage of their relationship started playing on the TV for everyone to see. Jaime then professed his love for her and said that Shemeka was the greatest gift he has ever received. He then went on one knee and asked her to Marry him. After Shemeka screamed with tears of joy and surprise, she said yes as the video continued to play. Little did she know, there were videos from their family and close friends near & far. It was the most happiest moment of her life.
