Question

What precautions are being taken in light of COVID-19?

Answer

- While our ceremony and reception are being held indoors, our guest list will be less than 90 people in a space that has a capacity for 360. - All Grand Street Event Space staff members will be wearing masks in the dining room and the kitchen, using proper handwashing techniques and sanitizing surfaces regularly. - The tables and seating will allow for proper 6ft social distancing guidelines. - There will be no buffet and instead a plated meal. - There will be a dance floor big enough to get your groove on with enough space between you and others. - Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided. - We ask that all guests be considerate of everyone's personal space. While you will be able to mingle with groups outside of your family unit we ask that you keep a safe distance unless they tell you otherwise. In short, be kind and respectful of everyone. - Hugs will be allowed but not required. We will also be accepting socially-distant smiles and waves.

Question

Are face masks going to be required for all guests?

Answer

Face masks WILL BE REQUIRED when entering the building of the event space and whenever leaving the event space to go outside or to use the bathroom. Once you are inside the room where the ceremony and reception are being held, face masks are no longer required. We will be supplying and encouraging the use of a face mask whenever you are inside the event space, however, it is not required. ***If you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in direct contact with someone who has shown symptoms/tested positive recently, we ask that you get tested and only attend our event if you receive a negative test result.***

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM. We recommend arriving around 5:30 - 5:45 PM to give yourself time to find a seat and get settled.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love kids! And while we would love to have all of our favorite little ones there, we do have limited space with new COVID restrictions. At this time we are only allowing kids who are family.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! There is free parking in the parking garage beneath the venue. It is accessible on the north side of the building. The easiest way to access it is through the Windstead's parking lot.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies please let Eric or Melanie know asap and we can work with the caterer to accommodate.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are needing to keep our guest count low to allow for proper social distancing. If your guest is invited it will be included when you RSVP. If there is not a place to RSVP for your plus one, then we only have one spot for you.

Question

Will this event still be fun even with all the restrictions?

Answer

Duh! We are SO excited to still be able to celebrate with our family and friends this year and are confident you will have an amazing (and safe) time at our event.
