We met on June 18, 2016 in Downtown Baton Rouge. At the time, Shirnae was living and working in Lafayette, La and was in town celebrating her best friend, Janna's 25th birthday. While Downtown, Rob spotted Shirnae and decided to ask her for her number and if he could take her to dinner. Slightly hesitant, Shirnae agreed and they met for dinner the following Friday, June 24th at Kona Grill. As Rob will be sure to let everyone know, Shirnae was almost TWO hours late. However, we enjoyed each other's company so much that we decided to go to Olive or Twist to continue our conversation. From there we dated, taking turns visiting each other in our respective cities. After five months, we made it official on November 25th at Texas Roadhouse. Since then, we have been at each other's side to celebrate each other's successes and uplift each other during challenging times. As a result of Rob's success in his career, he earned a major promotion that resulted in us moving to Virginia in June of 2022. Shortly after moving, Rob proposed to Shirnae on September 4, 2022. He made sure Shirnae's closest friends were there to witness this large milestone and celebrate with her. Now we are enjoying our engagement, happily planning our wedding and looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together.
