Question

One and done! This is our only wedding!

Answer

For those of you who know we planned to get married and have a party next year - change of plans! We could not imagine it without all of you, so we are making it happen and we can't wait!

Question

RSVP by July 5th

Answer

RSVP as soon as you can or by July 5th.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Absolutely! We expect to have several families with kids of all ages. We just ask that you be sure to be aware of your surroundings (for example, there is poison ivy off the main roads and grass areas) and that children have an adult present with them. We live in the country and near a lake, so extra awareness may be required.

Question

What's up with the lake?

Answer

More info on this soon. A few quick notes: We will try to have a designated shade area, but it may be limited, so bring sun protection. We will have some chairs and blankets for sitting. We have one red Old Town canoe that can fit two people and one smaller person on the canoe floor. Please have one experienced person in canoe at all times. Children should always have life vest and be supervised. Teenagers should have an adult check-in person and a set of adult eyes on them when on boats too. We have a few adult and children sized life vests. We have one green kayak that fits one adult. A small child can fit in your lap (in a life vest). For reference - Jon Jon and I together in the kayak sink it! If you swim, you will been your own towel. No dogs allowed on the beach/sand area. Please do not go to the beach at night and make noise, we want to respect the people whose houses are in earshot. Handicap Parking and Beach Access - there is one handicap parking spot on the beach, but it is often taken. If you need assistance getting to/from the beach, we can help you coordinate ahead, or perhaps you can have another guest with a car drop you and then return their car to the tennis court parking area up the steps from beach. Happy to help plan ahead or answer questions! There is no lifeguard. Do not enter water from land dock - its shallow (absolutely do not jump) and probably fully of fishing hooks. The floating dock swimming area in the middle of the lake is maybe 13ft deep- CannonBall!.

Question

I have a food allergy and/or a restricted diet, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please let us know of any allergies or dietary concerns. We want everyone to be adequately fed and will do our best to accommodate everyone. You can add your notes when you RSVP, or just reach out with any questions.

Question

Is there a dress code? How about footwear?

Answer

No dress code! Come however makes you happy and as casual as you'd like. Be comfortable for a day outside and wear comfortable shoes. Have some back-up sandals or flip flops. Shorts welcome. We will be outside for the day and on natural and rustic surfaces. What's the outfit plan for the bridal team?! - We will be slightly more buttoned up for vows but do not expect or need or guests to be. We'll get a little more summer comfy (board shorts!?) for the rest of the day/night. We and our wedding team will be informal but with a wedding feel.

Question

How's cell phone service?

Answer

Sometimes T Mobile does not work at our house and in our general area. We have Verizon and have no issues at our house, but there are some areas close by that service drops.
