Question

How do I RSVP for the wedding?

Answer

Your RSVP is your room confirmation with Yellow Umbrella Events. Our guest list will be provided to us by them. We are asking our guests to RSVP by June 1, 2023 to be added to our confirmed guest list and group activities. We hope we get to celebrate together!

When are the suggested travel dates?

Answer

We want nothing more than for our friends and family to enjoy their VACATION :) . To maximize your vacation time, enjoy excursions, enjoy the wedding, and have time for yourself, we recommend the following date range: December 12, 2023 – December 15, 2023 (additionally, the resort has a 3-night minimum stay requirement). However, please feel free to arrive as early in advance and stay at the resort for as long as you'd like.

Can I bring additional guests not specified on the invite?

Answer

Please contact Katlen & James if you would like to bring additional guests or if you have any special requests. All invited guests are more than welcome to bring additional travel companions and friends to enjoy the vacation with us. Yellow Umbrella Events can help to arrange travel for these additional friends and family members coming to vacation, but not attending the event.

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your kids, and this is a kid-friendly resort and wedding. Guests can hire babysitter services with Kangaroo Babysitting Services at https://babysitting.com.mx/ if needed.

What is the payment schedule?

Answer

Deposit Due - An initial deposit of 50% of your room total is needed to reserve your room. Monday, July 10, 2023 is the deadline to get an available room in the room block. Final Balance Due - Full payment of your trip is due by Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Guests can set up a payment schedule with Yellow Umbrella Events for the remainder of their trip (after the initial deposit of 50% of room total) – Some guests prefer to pay for their trip in installments, while others ensure that it is paid in full anytime prior to the final balance due date.

Do I have to book with Yellow Umbrella Events?

Answer

Yes, we request that all guests only utilize our dedicated travel coordinators at Yellow Umbrella Events, whom we have hired to manage our guest list. This helps us to keep the entire group organized and included in our planned group activities, and informed of logistics and frequent updates. Yellow Umbrella Events has helped us to secure the best rate possible for our guests, and most importantly, you will receive concierge level service from them. Additionally, Yellow Umbrella Events has flexible payment plans, making your travel arrangements even more affordable and convenient.

Do I need to have my passport prior to making my deposit for the trip?

Answer

Passports are required at the time of travel. As long as you provide Yellow Umbrella Events with your full legal name, you can arrange travel in advance. Instructions to apply for passports can be found here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/apply-in-person.html . Expedited Passports now can take up to 12 weeks - we do recommend getting your passport as soon as possible. Please allow 12-16 weeks for standard passport applications to process following your scheduled appointment with a passport "acceptance facility." If you do not obtain your passport prior to travel, you are responsible for any associated cancellation fees.

WILL I NEED CASH? WHAT ELSE SHOULD I PACK? IF THIS IS MY FIRST INTERNATIONAL TRIP, OR FIRST TRIP IN A LONG TIME, HOW CAN I BEST PREPARE?

Answer

After making their reservations, all guests will periodically be receiving more detailed travel instructions from Yellow Umbrella Events.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the airport?

Answer

Yes! Please make sure to book your flight into Cancun Airport and input your flight details in the link under "Travel" by Friday, October 27, 2023. Yellow Umbrella Events will give this information to Hotel Xcaret's transportation company to arrange for ground transportation to and from the hotel on your travel days.
