We feel so lucky to have found each other on the soccer field at the University of St. Thomas in Fall 2011. Within the 1st week of preseason training we immediately connected while trying to figure out the college lifestyle. Over the next 2 years, we remained best friends. We finally made it "official" in 2013 when it was clear Michael was not just tutoring a calculus classmate, but the love of his life.. After only 6 months of dating, Spring 2014 semester junior year, Katie left MN to live & study in Florence, Italy for 4 mos. Living apart early in our relationship was a great test - & of course we made the best of it by Michael visiting :) We always lived nearby each other in college, and by senior year, we lived just across the street. We loved doing nearly everything together - walking to class, hitting the library, & letting loose w/ friends on the weekend. After graduating, we took another leap by moving in together with new roommates - Sarah & Pius (Michael's Parents). For a few months, we graciously lived with the Eigenmann's before renting our own apartment in Uptown Minneapolis. After a few years, we took another step together by moving into a townhome in Eden Prairie, MN. One of the few reasons we moved out to the 'burbs was because we knew we wanted a yard - for a puppy. We brought Roma home in January 2018 - what appeared as a spontaneous decision was a culmination of months of planning, from two meticulous planners. After what seemed like an eternity, Michael put his plan in place to pop the question to Katie & asked her to spend the rest of our lives together. The anticipation had been building for years, but he was able to surprise Katie after a sleepless night before a trip to Bali, Indonesia. Katie said YES! It's impossible to tell our story without acknowledging & thanking our family & friends who have helped us grow together & supported us in times of need - thank you dearly & we look forward for celebrating with you! :)
