Yes! We eloped on December 3rd, 2017. After hiking out to one of our favorite spots in Rocky Mountain National Park, we said some nice things to each other, kissed a lot, and signed the papers! Eloping in private was absolutely the right move for us, but we're still having a wedding to celebrate with friends and family – best of both worlds!
Grandma's House at 1710 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80210 // We switched our venue to an indoor location because of the rain! You can park along South Broadway or in the Corvus Coffee Roasters parking lot. Kids are welcome!
You're welcome to arrive at Grandma's House around 4pm. We'll be doing the ceremony at 5pm and dinner around 6-6:30pm.
Our wedding's gonna be on the casual side — Cooper will definitely be wearing a bow-tie, but you don't have to.
We recommend renting a car or leaning on Lyft to get around — the public transportation here's not the best. Renting a car would be a better option if you plan to visit the mountains, and Lyfting works great around the city. Use our Lyft code for discounted rides while you're here! JESS572642
Denver's at 5,280 feet above sea level, so drink lots of water and pace yourselves while hiking and drinking. The elevation can really get the best of you, so take it easy ok?
It's legal here! Go for it, but only on private property. Don't consume weed in public or while driving or in a moving vehicle or your hotel room. Some AirBnB hosts are cool with it though! Definitely ask. Non-residents can buy up to an ounce at a time and will be taxed at a higher rate than residents. Many dispensaries only accept cash (just fyi). DO NOT try to take it back on the plane with you. Dispensary recommendation: Native Roots is fun for out-of-towners, their staff is knowledgeable, and it's a really welcoming environment
