Travel Note

Why Palm Springs?

We love Palm Springs, so when we got engaged, we thought it'd be the perfect place to get married. We hope you enjoy the town as much as we do, so here's a taste of where to stay & what to do.

Travel Note

36 Hours in Palm Springs

Though many travelers spend weeks reveling in Palm Springs modernism, surrounding communities from soak-centric Desert Hot Springs to Indio, site of the growing Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, expand the appeal of the valley, which, like the best midcentury modernist buildings here, effortlessly blends desert and design.

Flight

San Diego International Airport

Flying into San Diego is your best bet if you don't want to pay a premium to fly into Palm Springs. Car rentals are reasonable & it's about a 2-hour drive to Palm Springs, with less traffic than driving from LA.

Flight

Palm Springs International Airport

This is the simplest option - to fly directly into Palm Springs. We'll be hanging mostly around town, so if you fly into Palm Springs directly you can get away with not renting a car.

Hotel

Ace Hotel & Swim Club

701 East Palm Canyon Drive
Palm Springs, CA 92264
 (760) 325-9900

If you want a place that's fulfills your Palm Springs technicolor party dreams, this is it. It's one of the only hotels that doesn't have a music curfew.

Hotel

Orbit In Hotel

562 West Arenas Road
Palm Springs, CA 92262
 (760) 323-3585

Is it a pun, or a spelling mistake? It doesn’t matter. The Orbit In is one of the most fun places to stay in Palm Springs, because it does midcentury modern kitsch right. There are record players and a vinyl collection in every room, a free “Orbitini” at happy hour, a nice saltwater pool, and a seat for you at the Boomerang bar. It’s like staying at your hip grandparents house, but way cooler.

Hotel

Arrive Hotel Palm Springs

This is a new hotel right in the heart of the city, & like many Palm Springs hotels, the pool is the center of Arrive’s universe. There’s a calendar full of parties, poolside yoga sessions and craft markets to fill a short stay. At the very least, stop for a scoop of date ice cream or avocado ice cream (in a pretzel cone: do it) at Ice Cream & Shop(pe) on your way out of town.

House Or Rental

Airbnb

Airbnb has some great options around Palm Springs & the surrounding area. The wedding is close to downtown, so most guests will be staying within a few miles from there.
