We told everyone we met at Steak ‘n Shake after Megan left Wild Country... Well, I guess now is the time to come clean! We met by a swipe right. we met on Tinder. We both had friends that told us to get on and make a profile because “it’s the big thing right now.” Kenny messaged me first and we haven’t stopped talking since.

Although we had hung out together and went on many random adventures before this, our first real date consisted of me driving to Illinois and us going to see Dumb and Dumber 2. Oddly enough, we ran into a few of his friends while we were at the movies! How romantic.. LOL!

After a few years of growing up and building a strong friendship, Kenny FINALLY asked me to be his girlfriend! It was the early morning hours of New Years Eve, we were hanging out at his mom’s house. We were joking and laughing as we always do about the random adventures we had just went on. Kenny then randomly looks at Megan and asks if she wanted to be his girlfriend. Spoiler alert! She said yes!

June of 2018, we decided we were going to look for an apartment together. Well, in St. Louis they have breed and number of dog restrictions on every single apartment complex we looked at. Everyone that knows us knows our dogs are family, so we kept looking! Finally, we found a house that allowed us to have our 3 pups. 2 bedroom 1 bath house with a fenced in back yard! We had a lot of great memories in that house. From all the BBQ’s to New Years Eve Parties, it was the house that really grounded us together, AND we got out kitty Mia shortly after moving in!

Ahhh, what everyone has asked about and we have kept it a secret. Well, we are going to tell you now! After 2-3 years of everyone asking Kenny when he was going to propose, he finally did it! Kenny and his mom worked hard on getting Megan’s engagement ring made exactly how she always wanted it. The Tuesday before, Kenny went and asked Megan’s parents for their blessing. After granted their blessing became the hard part.. getting Megan to cooperate! Sunday November 15th, 2020 Kenny finally got Megan to go with him “on an adventure like old times”. We went to the Chain of Rocks and we got out of the car. Kenny went into the back of Megan’s car to get the bluetooth speaker and so we could listen to music as we watched the water. Kenny hid the ring in Megan’s car! LOL. We are sitting down watching the water and listen to music, people are behind us and not looking like they were going to leave any time soon making Kenny mad because he knows what’s about to happen. Our song came on, Better Together by Luke Combs. Still not knowing what was about to happen, the part of the song that says “& if I am being honest, your first and my last name would just sound better together and probably always will..” came on and Kenny pulled out the ring box and asked Megan to marry him. Megan shocked and bawling her eyes out said “YES!”

After getting engaged, Kenny and Megan both decided they wanted to buy their first home before going on with any wedding plans. They both always dreamt of buying their first house. 5 months and 6 offers later in a crazy housing market, we did it! We bought our first home! During the whole process our realtor knew we needed a room for the reptiles and “Garrett’s room”. We are so excited to see where our lives go from here and our many more adventures to come!
