What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies can wear anything from cocktail dresses to floor length dresses, and the gentlemen can wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place

Answer

The reception will be held at the Mississippi Museum of Art, which provides both indoor and outdoor space, with the majority of festivities being held outdoors in the Art Garden (weather-permitting). Guests are invited to tour the Museum at their leisure, free of charge. Changing exhibitions on display may require admission fees.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding celebration, please let us know as soon as possible or RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Answer

Head over to the “Travel” page in the menu bar where we have provided directions and parking information for the venue, which includes a link to download a parking map if you would like to save a digital copy on your phone or print a copy to bring along with you.

While we love your little ones, our wedding celebration is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Head over to the “Travel” page in the menu bar where we’ve provided information on hotel blocks, pricing, addresses, and alternative hotel options in the area.

Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Guests can RSVP online by heading over to the “RSVP” page in the menu bar. The website does not provide an entry for middle names, so try entering only the first given name and last name of one member of your party. If you are still experiencing difficulty pulling up your parties’ information, we encourage you to reach out and let us know at +1 (601) 720-0005.

Is the reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The Museum has four accessible ramps in the Museum parking lots (South Lamar Street, Court Street), including an additional four ramps in the Art and Walker Gardens. Accessible parking is available at both parking lots. The Museum’s main entrance has an accessibility ramp and guiderails. All restrooms include an accessible stall as well as a private, family bathroom. Museum hallways and galleries are made with enough space to accommodate all assistive devices (walkers, wheelchairs, etc.).

Food and drinks will be served at the reception. The food will be served buffet-style, with some gluten-free options.

We are registered at Amazon, Anthropologie, Bed Bath & Beyond, Crate & Barrel, Everyday Gourmet, Pottery Barn, Target, Wayfair, West Elm, and Williams Sonoma.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

The hotels do not offer a shuttle service between the hotel and venue. We suggest getting a Lyft or Uber.
