In 6th grade, Tyler & Caitlin both swam for the same club team but went to different schools. Freshman year, Caitlin transferred to Vista Ridge high school but refused to join the swim team. It wasn't until Junior year that Caitlin finally decided to swim for Vista. During their combined time on the swim team, Caitlin & Tyler were very much at odds. Tyler thought it was annoying that Caitlin would go play with the cones at the bottom of the pool and Caitlin thought it was annoying that Tyler tried so hard. Half-way through senior year, Caitlin joked that Tyler HAD to be her prom date and he HAD to wear a leopard print tux. Obviously the leopard print tux never happened (dang it) but they did go to prom together and started dating! Caitlin went away to school in Colorado and they stayed together while Tyler was at Texas A&M in College Station. Eventually, Caitlin realized that she didn't love her major at Mines (everyone thought it was weird that she talked so much) and she made the transfer to A&M as well (kind of..Blinn and THEN she got into A&M)! Caitlin and Tyler loved their life in College Station and eventually got a cat named Theodore! Theodore became the light of their lives and Caitlin loved having pets! So when Tyler went on vacation she so graciously surprised (lol) him with a puppy she had found! Their pup, Beans, became best friends with Theodore and now they (even Tyler!) couldn't imagine their lives without Beans & Theo. Fast forward to junior year of college at a famous Fightin' Texas Aggie football game and Tyler seemed off the whole time! At the end of the game Caitlin's best friend, Savannah, texted to let them know she was by a pond on campus with their dog. Caitlin promptly complained how weird it was that Savannah walked all the way to campus with Beans for attention but it was all part of Tyler's plan! They arrived at their tree (they had used as a meeting spot all throughout College) and Tyler got down on his knee to propose!
