In September of 2017, we met at a training academy for our new positions with the state of Kentucky. While we were not looking for love, love found us. During this academy, we spent all of our time together... both in our training courses and outside of them. We became friends quickly and it was obvious to the both of us that we had a special connection. It wasn't until the last week of the academy when we confronted our feelings about each other and decided to try it out. Ben will tell you, on our first date, he knew that he was going to marry me. I knew about a week later... I was looking at some pictures that we had taken at our graduation and it hit me in the face with a frying pan... I knew that this was the one that God made for me. On December 12th, 2017, Ben popped the question... of course I said yes! He is my person, my one and only, and I cannot imagine life without him.
