It all started when Jimmy tagged along with Rob to a party. That party was the going away party for Annsley's best friend, Kim. So while it was sad to see her best friend move to Michigan, Annsley gained a partner in life. Thanks Rob and Kim for making sure the stars aligned just right that night for us! We will be forever grateful!

We happened to both get invited to another get together the following weekend. We had been in touch all week, but didn't realize the other would be there until just before dinner. We practically ordered the same meal and shared a dessert. Jimmy made a point to make a good impression that night. Soon after that, our first date was scheduled for us to meet up at Fresco's Waterfront Bistro in downtown St. Pete after work. In true Annsley-style, she was late to the date because she got stuck working at the adoption agency. While getting ready for our date, the guard on Jimmy's beard trimmer fell off and he ended up having to shave off his beard. As a result, Annsley did not recognize Jimmy and searched all over the restaurant for him. We ended up having a good laugh and lovely conversation, enjoyed a wonderful meal, and both knew in that moment that this was something really worth pursuing!

So we have been talking about getting married for most of 2018. Jimmy casually asked Annsley over a beer at Hops & Props one lazy Saturday afternoon this spring, and we decided to make it a priority. Life kept getting in the way, but we finally got to the jeweler to design a ring using a stone from Annsley's late grandmother. The night before the ring was supposed to be ready for pick up, Jimmy saw something on Gizmo's neck and seemed worried like he had gotten into something while outside. He handed the cat to Annsley to investigate further, and there she found a gorgeous diamond ring on his collar. You all know how the rest of the story goes... and now we are getting married!!!!
