Welcome to my page! Thanks for stopping by to learn more about me. I am a Seattle-based hair and makeup artist who loves to travel. Since I can remember, I have always played with hair and makeup. My aunt was a hairdresser, so I grew up around it. After graduating from Gene Juarez in 2008, I took a job up on Queen Anne at a boutique store primarily for women and their daughters to go to for special occasion styling.

A northwest native, I call Seattle home. I feel so fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful part of the world. At a very young age, I was captivated by photography and it’s ability to capture life’s moments. My love for flowers runs deep and true. I grew up ‘helping’ in my mom’s, grandfather’s and great-grandfather’s gardens, learning how to grow flowers, and more importantly, how to pick and arrange them. This is where the name Gather comes from – I’ve always been good at what my family broadly terms “hunting and gathering.” I was the kid who couldn’t ever pull myself out of the blackberry patch where I wanted to pick just one more berry, or away from the beach where I spent hours collecting the tiniest, wave-polished pebbles which I called jewels.

I get excited about over-sized blooms, lush greenery, seasonal varieties and garden inspired florals. I love organic flow with just enough structure to not feel messy. For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for photography. Marcea's experience comes to you decades in the making. Having grown up with a wedding coordinator mom, Marcea started coordinating weddings and receptions at a very young age. She went on to plan events with a prominent Seattle restaurant company, and has planned dinners and parties large and small for churches, non-profit organizations, schools, and small businesses, ranging in size from a small gathering to a crowd of 1,000. Her own Christmas parties are legendary, something she also learned from her mom. She brings the same passion to every event, every time.

I've had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember; I used it like a pocket journal of sorts and photographed constantly while growing up in Hawai'i. I fell into weddings when my dad remarried in 2013, and I remember being caught off guard by the swirl of emotions I felt standing at the edge of a new beginning. Turning those feelings into tangible memories was the only thing that made sense. I moved to New York City to refine my skillset and took a detour into the fashion industry before receiving my Bachelor's in photography from NYU.
