My love of music started in the back seat of my dads car as he took me to daycare, with Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin On" on repeat. My love of music spans generations, cultures and genres, and has taken me all over the world, from England, Spain, St. Marteen, and Austria. As for me, I am a Brooklyn native, who during the pandemic was able leave corporate career to pursue my passion of music. My perspective, is to include and create, safe spaces for guests to feel young, and carefree - even if for a few moments.

Peter & the Master Keys is not only a great jazz band with vocals, it's also an energetic dance band specializing in the best soul, blues, and rock n' roll from the 50s and 60s plus a few more contemporary numbers to round out the set. Think Sinatra and Nat King Cole early in the night and then Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Elvis and more later on. Sean Kershaw & the New Jack Ramblers formed in 2001 as a loose collective of musicians from various backgrounds who got together to play country music for fun. By the mid-aughts the band (now firmly centered around Yours Truly, Sean Kershaw) was a well-honed, professional music outfit playing everything from club dates to weddings, festivals and corporate and charity events. A CD, Coney Island Cowboy was released and the band hit the road, touring the East coast, California and Alaska. Sean also toured Australia using local musicians. Fast forward to 2023 the band is going strong, playing monthly gigs in Brooklyn and events everywhere.

Mariachi Hidalgo was founded in 2017 and is led by our Musical Director Hernan Hidalgo Treviño who is a first-generation musician within his family. At the age of 21, Hernan is New York City’s, as well as the East Coast’s, 1st ever “Youngest Musical Director of a Mariachi Band”. Hernan graduated from the CUNY of Hunter College as a Music and History major to better prepare himself for both the musical and culture of mariachi. Within the first 2 years, Mariachi Hidalgo has performed in some of New York's exclusive places. Hernan's main goal is to inspire and motivate other youths to continue this musical tradition of mariachi.

I arrange my music custom for your event upon hearing what your vision is. I am fully insured and I am easy to keep in contact with. I began playing cello when I was around 9, a family tradition. I studied with a principal cellist of the Rochester Philharmonic. I am well versed in music other than classical, and am well versed in many different styles. I also take the time to talk to guests, friends, and whoever else is enjoying the music on the occasion.

There is nothing quite like the elegance of strings. We recommend string groups for Wedding Ceremonies, Elegant Dinners, and Cocktail Hours. Whether it is the standard grouping of Violin, Violin, Viola and Cello or a hybrid ensemble with harp or guitar, our players are well versed in both classical and contemporary repertoire. We also have Electric String Quartets. Some clients opt to have the group play acoustic for the ceremony and switch to electric instruments for cocktail hour.

Our Hoppin’ John Steel Band performs Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Carnival, Belafonte, “Beach Music” and standard American selections as well. Instrumentalists in this group include steel drums (or “pans”) of various sizes, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, keyboard, horns, vocalists, limbo dancers and other specialists added for special occasions.

The Celtic Balladeers perform all styles of Irish and Celtic music. In the above sound clip they are captured live (VERY live) on St. Patty’s day at Coogan’s on Broadway. The sound clip features our guitar and tenor banjo duo while the complete band includes several other instrumentalists such as guitar, Irish tenor banjo, accordion, fiddle, bass, drums, bodhran, whistle, pipes, flute, mandolin, keyboard, horns, vocalists and dancers. Besides the standard, and county specific Irish material they can also perform a whole catalog of American dance music.

String 18 is a perfect trio for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and dinners. Their repertoire includes Classic Rock, Contemporary Pop, Latin, Jazz, and Classical. With three acoustic guitars they create vibrant musical arrangements that range from the elegance of a String Quartet to the fire of the Gipsy Kings. There is almost no piece of music that they cannot perform, so this is a great ensemble for special requests.

Margot Varret is a uniquely gifted performer with both her voice and harp. As a native born French speaker she is expert in the repertoire of Chanson made famous by iconic artists like Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour. She is also a fabulous classic jazz singer who renders the classics of the great American songbook with a signature French flair. She regularly sells out Birdland Theater leading her own group.
