I am a NY-based Harpist with over 18 years of experience. I have been fortunate enough to play for dozens of professional events and weddings along the East Coast. I have performed at many different events, from weddings to corporate Holiday parties to tea parties to retirement parties. Some of the locations I have been lucky to perform include the Marriott Marquis in Times Square and The Willard Intercontinental in Washington D.C. Most recently I was selected to be a featured musician on an episode of the Drew Barrymore show!

The Brooklyn Beats is the inaugural event/wedding band founded by music industry veteran, Jon Shiffman. Jon is best known for his live work as a drummer for Grammy winner Jack Antonoff in the bands Steel Train and Bleachers. He has toured all over the world and his drumming can be heard on various National TV Commercials, and is featured in the 2024 release of Paramount Pictures’ Mean Girls movie. Named after a 1932 jazz standard, Street of Dreams Jazz Band from New York City is a vintage jazz and swing group with a lush, romantic sound. Easily portable and available as a trio or quartet, the ensemble features gorgeous arrangements of timeless jazz standards from The Great American Songbook. Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, and Hoagy Carmichael are a few of their favorite composers. Listeners will be transported back to the era when swing was king in NYC.

Inspired by neo-soul greats like D’Angelo and Erykah Badu, Fake Tapes is all about the pleasure principle. Lead singer Kyla’s voice zig-zags assuredly above mischievous harmonic twists and sharp, understated grooves as she spins oblique stories of heartbreak and hope in New York City. The members of the band met in the Brooklyn jazz jam scene and have been playing with each other ever since. Lydia Paulos is a Brooklyn-based cellist. She plays regularly for theater productions and cabarets, including Alice By Heart at MCC Theater and various shows at The Green Room 42 and 54 Below; she often collaborates with composers for new works or shows. She has performed as a part of various orchestras and chamber ensembles in New York, most recently as a member of Crosswinds Quartet & the Femmelody Chamber Music Collective.

Will is an accomplished musician and conductor. He has performed on numerous cast recordings of broadway musicals including My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, and the 2014 Tony Awards. He conducted the national tour of Miss Saigon, the 2015 Fiddler on the Roof revial, and the revial of my Fair Lady at Lincoln Theater. He maintains a vibrant teaching practice at the Elisabeth Morrow School, the Wilton Music Studios, and School for Strings. He brings his leadership skills and his well developed patience as an teacher to private event performances.

Being in this band since I was in High School has been a crazy ride, but also fun and gratifying for sure. East Coast is one big family and we count band members, loyal fans and now near two thousand couples to be part of that crew!
