How We Met

I mean, it was Quidditch, of course!

While Stan was abroad in Japan in 2014, Anny joined Clark's Quidditch team, taking it by storm. Being the organizer she is, she quickly became part of the administration. Back then, Stan was only a sweet whisper in the wind, his charm and warmth the talk of the town. Being puffed up by the rest of the team to be some kind of marvel, Stan got elected to Vice President without even being on the continent. After a year of existing in each other's peripheries, the two met at the team's first fall practice and the rest is history.

How We Proposed

It involved Coast Highway 101 and a blue Ring Pop.

While spending our third Christmas together in Encinitas preparing for our trip to Thailand, we walked up and down the 101 and discussed the pros and cons of marriage. On the one hand, commitment is terrifying and we're just kids. On the other hand, the legal union is heavy with benefits. That fateful day, we made a pact to be wed and although we wouldn't call each other husband and wife just yet, we would refer to the other as "my partner" in conversation. After our trip to Thailand, while Stan interviewed for jobs in Worcester, we knew we would seal the deal. While picking him up at the airport, Anny got down on one knee, a fifty cent blue Ring Pop in hand. It took Stan a solid few minutes to even notice.

How We Wed

A Historic Line of Elopers

On a snowy hill in the center of University Park, just across the street from Clark, the geese and a few friends bore witness to our union. We trekked up the hill in snow boots, shoveled ourselves a spot, and had our friend officiate our marriage. Afterwards, we enjoyed spaghetti with red sauce and Lindemans framboise lambic beer with our guests. It was VERY impressive. Later we would find out that we were the third generation of elopers in the family.

The Announcement

Christmas, 2018

After sitting on the secret and finally choosing (affording) rings after half a year (sapphires this time), we decided to invite loved ones to 814 Hermes Ave during the holidays to make it public. And now, we are looking forward to our much awaited multicultural wedding party!
