We're getting married!

In early 2021, Shay showed up to her first dog rescue fundraiser with no idea she’d end up waiting around for a very late dog trainer named Evan. Lucky for both of them, the delay was worth it. Two people with a shared love for rescue dogs brought together by perfect timing. The rest, as they say, is history. Since that day, they’ve filled their lives with cross-country adventures, cozy Midwest holidays, West Palm date nights, far too many foster dogs, and eventually, a dream proposal in Positano, Italy. After months of meticulous planning (because Evan doesn’t do anything low-key), he surprised Shay on a beach in Positano in front of her childhood best friends and future bridesmaids. The days that followed were spent wandering Italy together, soaking in every second, and making memories they’ll never forget - including matching tattoos, of course. Now, they can’t wait to gather everyone they love in the place where it all began. See you in the sunshine state!
