Our story began long before we actually started dating. We went to the same school for most of our lives, had countless mutual friends, and even spent summers at the same Maccabi tournaments- Adam playing soccer and Megan playing volleyball. Somehow, despite crossing paths over and over again, we never really knew each other. That finally changed when we were introduced through Josh and one of Megan’s closest friends. Megan was 16 and Adam was 17 when we started dating, and our first date was very on-brand: Boomers in Boca Raton followed by confetti pancakes at IHOP. From there, we were pretty much inseparable, although life quickly made sure we got plenty of practice at long distance. Over the years, we went from Miami and Boca to Orlando and Chapel Hill, filling the distance with visits, adventures, questionable homemade “Tasty” desserts, and way too many trips to count. We discovered a shared love of sports, scuba diving, traveling, and created plenty of stories along the way. Somewhere in the middle of all that, we also decided medical school sounded like a good idea. After years of living in different cities, we’re now in our last year of school, finally living together back home with Adam’s family, who have long since become family to both of us. It’s funny looking back at how many times our paths crossed before we actually met. We were at the same schools, events, and surrounded by the same people for years, we just needed a little help from our friends. After all the long distance, traveling, scuba diving, medical school, and pancakes, we’re excited that the next adventure is one we finally get to take together.
