We're getting Married!

We met as most people meet these days... on a dating app. Sadie was using the app to plan an “Around the World" themed girls' night and swipe through people from all different countries with her friends. Sam quickly derailed party plans, matching with Sadie before the party, and winning her heart so quickly and so completely that the party never happened. We matched on May 3rd, had our first date on May 7th, and from that day on, we never really stopped wanting to spend time together. We loved meeting for coffee and seeing where the day would take us, usually through a park, then to dinner, then to anything else we could think of to make the day last just a little bit longer. That summer, we told each other we loved one another on a particularly hot day in Portland before spending the weekend on the coast. Things moved so quickly, maybe because we're both water signs with big hearts and even bigger feelings, or maybe because we just knew it was right. Since then, we moved in together, moved two more times (never straying from our favorite little block in Portland), took a dozen trips back to the Midwest, went on countless coffee dates, and even explored Italy together.  Then, on a rainy Tuesday night last November, Sam proposed under the arched entrance of Sadie’s old apartment, where we met in person for the very first time. It was, of course, a very easy yes. And now it's now, and we can't wait to celebrate with all of you, the people who have loved, supported, and cheered us on throughout our journey. Thank you for being part of our story. We're so excited to start this next chapter together.
