We're Getting Married!

It all started back in Grade 8, when we first met and had no idea that our friendship would turn into a lifetime together. We first crossed paths as part of the same group of friends and spent our high school years growing up alongside each other. Through those years, we shared countless memories, from simple school days and weekend adventures, to laughs with friends, and all the little moments that made those years unforgettable. Somewhere along the way, our friendship became something more and in December of Grade 12, we officially started dating. Not long after, we found ourselves navigating something no one expected: a global pandemic. While the world slowed down, we got to spend more time together, creating memories in the simplest ways and realizing just how much we enjoyed doing life with each other. Lockdown gave us a lot of time together, and somehow, even after spending nearly every day side by side, we still couldn’t get enough of each other. After high school, we supported each other through university and all the challenges that came with it. We watched each other chase our dreams, celebrate accomplishments, and push through the hard moments. Alex became a Civil Engineer, and Mikayla became a Registered Nurse, and through every exam, late night, and big life decision, we continued cheering each other on. After years of friendship, love, and growing together, we got engaged in the most unforgettable way during a trip to Tuscany, Italy. We can’t wait for our next chapter and are so excited to celebrate with the people who have been part of our story along the way.
