It all started back in 2017 when Megan and Robby met through mutual friends. Sparks flew instantly… for Robby, but he was unfortunately stuck in the friendzone for three long years. Fast forward to July 2020, Megan was invited to a quadruple dinner date with her best friends, the Sassers. As the only single girl in the group, she invited Robby who happened to be home from the military for July 4th weekend. What started as a casual dinner, turned into a long talk afterwards about the future of their “friendship”. When Robby went back to North Carolina and had to quarantine, they started talking constantly which is when Megan realized maybe there was something more there. On July 18, 2020, Robby asked her to be his girlfriend. Their first official date as a couple didn’t happen until August, when Megan was in North Carolina visiting her grandpa, and Robby had off from work due to a hurricane. From there, they began a year-and-a-half of long distance — filled with airport hellos, weekend trips to Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, and tearful goodbyes. After getting discharged from the Marine Corps in February 2022, Megan supported Robby through diesel mechanic school and fire academy training. In May 2025, Megan bought a house in North Jersey — which means Robby’s weekends are now dedicated to landscaping, fixing things, and pretending to love Home Depot runs as much as Megan loves planning their next trip. Together, they’ve traveled the world — from Italy to Paris, Cayman Islands to Aruba, and everywhere in between. On October 20, 2025 during their recent trip to Hawaii, Robby popped the question during a romantic sunset photoshoot on the beach. Megan said yes! Now they’re beyond excited to celebrate with all their favorite people and start the next chapter of their adventure as husband and wife.
