We were both runners on MIT's Track and Field team. We had seen each other across the track earlier in the fall of 2013, but we didn't really start to connect until indoor track season during the winter. But by that time Harrison had already decided to leave MIT to pursue his start-up in New York City. That summer, even though Harrison was in NYC and I (Maryann) was in California, we spoke regularly on the phone, getting to know each other more and more. Then at the end of the summer, we decided to give it a go, even though I would be living in Boston and Harrison in New York City. Now, more than six years later, we are happily engaged (soon to be married!) living and still running together in New York City!
