Dear friends and family, We want to thank you again for the love and understanding you've shown us these past weeks and provide an update: As you know, Hurricane Lowell devastated areas of Kauai on September 7, and we had to cancel our September 18th wedding. We told you then that our hope was to move the wedding to May 2027. We still hold that hope close. We traveled to Kauai anyway, and on September 24th, we were married in an intimate, quiet ceremony on Shipwreck beach on the south side, just the two of us. It was intimate, spiritual, and deeply meaningful to us. We wanted you to hear it from us directly. Here is where things stand now: We still very much want to gather everyone we love and celebrate together. What we don't know yet is what that will look like. We have some practical matters to sort out first, including our insurance claim and what the disruption has cost us, and until we understand that, we can't say whether a May 2027 date is feasible, or whether it might take a different shape than we first imagined. So we're asking for a little patience while we return home, take a breath, and regroup. Please hold the May 2027 date loosely for now, and know that you'll be the first to hear from us the moment we have a clearer plan. And keep practicing the Early in the Morning Dance! We still intend to do that with you! Thank you for being part of our story, whatever form this celebration ends up taking. We love you and feel so grateful for you. With all our love, Lisa & Rich
