Krystina Michelle

We'll have a wedding one day...

Unfortunately, we've had to push out our wedding celebration indefinitely. We very much want to celebrate with all of you in person, but our priority right now is everyone's safety.

...

It all started...

-THE BEGINNING-

over vieux carrés at a gastropub. Ricky asked & Krysti said "I've never heard of those". 3 hours (and one very expensive order of ceviche) later, the pub was closing down - so we went across the street for another drink. We talked about everything that night: religion, politics, the Enneagram, gender roles, fish (obviously), travel. Finally around midnight, delirium set in and we parted ways - but not before Ricky asked for a second date.

...and then...

-THE PROPOSAL-

It was a Monday night. Krysti never imagined Ricky would propose on a Monday, so when he picked her up for dinner she wasn't suspecting a thing. As we walked up to the restaurant where we had our first date, she was a bit suspicious - but, still, it was a *Monday*! We ordered the same drinks we did just about a year ago, and suddenly our song (Love is a Wild Thing by Kacey Musgraves) started playing loudly. Krysti was confused, Ricky was crying, and all of a sudden he was on one knee. He says she stared at him for a full 30 seconds before answering, she swears it was only 3 - but it was an obvious YES. Krysti didn't even notice the custom designed sapphire ring Ricky agonized over for months - she was too lost in his eyes.

...but the best is yet to come

-THE WEDDING-

Our ceremony on July 18 didn't look like we hoped - but we're so excited to be married and starting a new life together! One day (hopefully soon!) we'll be able to celebrate with all of you.
