Kristen and Matty met in 10th grade in Mr. Miranda's Chemistry class. Kristen befriended Matty in hopes of securing the answers to the homework while Matty was mostly interested in expanding his friend group. A dozen or so late-night calls and FaceTime sessions later, Matty decided he wanted to be more than friends. In the hallways of Newburgh Free Academy on December 10th, 2012 Matty and Kristen became boyfriend and girlfriend and later that week, they saw The Life of Pi at the Newburgh movie theater. From there, through sheer power and will, they grew up together. With Matty's persistence and Kristen's patience, they were able to navigate college, long distance communication, law school, job relocations, and eventually moving in together in Norwalk, Connecticut. On July 12, 2025, Matty proposed to Kristen in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. On the day they say "I do", they will have been together for almost 15 years. Everyone is expected to party accordingly.
