East coast Evan and west coast Kelsey met in Chicago, IL in March 2025, through the dating app Hinge. They first met at Kibbitznest, where the server got Kelsey's drink order wrong and Kelsey had to reassure Evan that she did not think it was his fault. Kelsey did not let Evan hug her until the third date (she didn't believe in hugging strangers). Kelsey and Evan bonded over their love of cats, cartoons, and staying inside during the summer. Kelsey had 2 cats (Pickle and Chicken) and Evan had 2 cats (Stella and Claudia), so math-wise, they now have 4 cats.
