OKC Animal Welfare serves more than 24,000 animals each year in the City of OKC, and they also provide animal sheltering services for the cities of Del City, Valley Brook and Tinker Air Force Base. Donating to OKC Animal Welfare helps find permanent, loving homes for the thousands of local animals we rescue each year. All donations are tax deductible. A donation to The Korean Culture and Language School of Oklahoma would be a very special gift to us. James's parents had leading roles in the start up, with the first board meeting occurring at their house in 2001. They remain involved today. It is a welcoming environment where Korean as well as other interested students can learn about the language and the culture of Korea. Currently about 50 students are enrolled. The curriculum includes language lessons, traditional dancing classes, art classes, and musical instrument classes. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and your donation is tax deductible. Please consider making a donation to The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) in lieu of a physical gift. The EJAF raises funds for evidence-based programs and policies related to AIDS, such as: community-based prevention programs, harm reduction programs, public education to reduce the stigma of HIV/AIDS, advocacy to improve AIDS-related public policies and address the civil rights of racial, sexual, ethnic, and gender minorities, and direct services to persons living with HIV/AIDS, especially populations with special needs. Direct services include HIV/AIDS-related medical and mental health treatment, testing and counseling, food distribution, assisted living, social service coordination, and legal aid. Instead of a physical gift, we would appreciate a donation to the breast cancer fund for Jennifer Baldwin, one of Kaitlin's best friends. This past October, Jennifer was diagnosed with Stage IIIC breast cancer. She just finished her sixth and final round of chemotherapy. She is an incredible mother of two young girls, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Despite the side effects of chemo, she has continued to work, attend graduate school, and remain involved in her usual activities. As you can imagine, Jennifer's family has faced unexpected medical expenses over the past few months. A GoFundMe donation page has been set up in her honor.
