Elizabeth and Jack first met as kids when they both attended All Saints' Episcopal School while Elizabeth’s family lived in Fort Worth. Jack and Elizabeth’s brother (also Jack) were even in the same Cub Scouts troop in elementary school! After the Walshes moved to Dallas in ‘09, they didn’t see each other again for 15 years. Then, in March of 2024, they reconnected in Fort Worth while Elizabeth was in her final semester of college at TCU. Jack asked Elizabeth out to dinner for their first date at Teddy Wong’s. They stayed at dinner until more than an hour past closing, talking about everything under the sun. Jack asked Elizabeth to officially be his girlfriend just two weeks later, both knowing by then that they were meant for each other. A few months later, Elizabeth moved to Nashville to begin a three-year master’s program at Vanderbilt. The move meant the start of a long-distance relationship. Between weekend flights and plenty of FaceTime calls, they never let the distance get in the way. They enjoyed countless trips back and forth from Fort Worth to Nashville. Because of their many flights to see each other, they are both now proud Southwest A-Listers! In April 2026, Jack told Elizabeth they were spending Easter weekend in New York with the Rainbolts. She had no idea he had been planning something much bigger. On a walk through Central Park, Jack led Elizabeth to a quiet spot overlooking the water, where he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. As if she was not surprised enough, Jack had secretly arranged for Elizabeth’s entire family to fly to New York so they could celebrate alongside the Rainbolts. Having both families there to share one of the best moments of their lives made everything even more meaningful. Not long after getting engaged, they added a new member to the family: a miniature poodle named Dolly. Her parents love her so much! Now they’re counting down the days until they can start their next chapter together as husband and wife!
