They met in person on a Delta layover. Heather swapped her first class seat with the woman next to Chris. They talked nonstop and haven’t stopped. In January, they got matching tattoos of the flight that brought them together. ____ In May, Heather was talking to a jeweler about what kind of rings she likes. Beside her was an antsy Chris. While Chris is squirming in his seat, and sweating bullets, Heather thought he was nervous about the conversation and was a tad offended since he was very vocal about wanting to spend the rest of his life alongside her. Turns out, Chris had a ring at home. But it did not look like the one Heather was describing.... and he was planning to propose en route to Disney, at "their gate" in 6 days. Later that day, he texted the jeweler to explain the situation and they got started on designing a ring. It was not ready in time for the trip, so.... no proposal. Weekend after weekend for the next two months, Chris tried to get Heather on a plane and to the Atlanta airport, but she constantly had to decline or cancel due to her schedule. Finally, one Sunday, he made her get on a plane for a "quick trip to Disney to ride Guardians". All the while, Heather is telling her staff and friends that she just KNOWS he plans to propose at Disney and she was going to try to act surprised since "he deserves that".
