William and Chandler met in the summer of 2016 in Tuscaloosa, AL. One day Chandler was hanging out with a friend who mentioned that her friend William was passing through Tuscaloosa was going to visit her on his way back to Birmingham. William and Chandler spent the day hanging out at the pool and really hit it off! Ever since then, William and Chandler have been inseparable, and not a day has gone by that they haven't texted or talked!

William and Chandler got engaged in October 2019 in Amalfi, Italy. Before leaving for their ten-day Italian vacation, Chandler was hoping that William might propose to her sometime during the trip, but she wasn't sure if he actually would! Little did she know that he had planned a very romantic proposal that would take place on the third day of the trip. The day began in Rome where William and Chandler had an early morning train ride to Sorrento in order to get to Positano, but it was off to a rough start when they missed their train. Once they finally made it to Positano, albeit slightly behind schedule, they explored the beach and grabbed gelato before heading to Amalfi to watch the sunset and eat dinner. Chandler was confused why William had made dinner plans in Amalfi when they could have just eaten in Positano where they were staying. She had no idea what awaited her in Amalfi! After an hour long bus ride along the Italian coastline, once the two reached their destination, William led Chandler to a spot in the middle of the pier with breathtaking views of the Amalfi town square behind them. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him while a local photographer he had hired to meet them snapped pictures of the whole engagement! Once the proposal was over, crowds of people could be seen taking pictures and congratulating the couple. The photographer then guided the two around the little town so they would have a portfolio of engagement photos from the beautiful place where they got engaged. After the photo shoot ended, William and Chandler ate dinner at the most romantic restaurant in Amalfi, Eolo. The breathtaking restaurant overlooked the ocean and also the town of Amalfi and was the perfect place to enjoy the magical moment.
