It all started with long, deep, and beautiful conversations that felt like they could go on forever, yet somehow always left us wanting more. The quiet, heavy days of the pandemic gave us the space to find our way into each other, building our own little haven while the rest of the world was stuck in lockdown. Once everything finally opened back up, we couldn't wait any longer to see each other. We finally met for our first date on a Thursday evening at Bamboo restaurant, and guys, we were both nervous and excited at the same time 😊

Those long late-night talks made us want to know every little thing about each other, and before we knew it, we were planning our second date. It was a chill Saturday evening at Camillia (Chic), and because we had been joking about being on time, we decided to turn it into a little competition to see who was actually punctual. Needless to say, I think you already know who made it on time 😜

We were so obsessed with dates! We were having so much fun and the more we went out, the deeper our connection became. For our third date, we went to Repub Lounge, which is famous for its amazing African cuisine and great live music—the perfect vibe for us. Bri said I showed up a little late, but yhoo let’s just call that “a queen’s grand royal entrance” 😜

One of the biggest things we connected on was our shared love for adventure and games, so we decided to go all out at Fazenda. We were such a goofy, bubbly pair, a little shy at times, but having the absolute time of our lives. Honestly, it felt like the beginning of a romantic novel titled “Les aventures de 2 Jajas” And mes amis, you know your girl is fearless😉! Iry was so brave on the zipline that Bri actually sat there wondering if he was dating a tiny little Rambo 🤣. We captured the day with some adorable photos and went home feeling that it was only the beginning ❤️

By this point, we had honestly lost count of how many dates we had been on, but let’s pick up where we left off in “Les aventures de 2 Jajas”. This time, we decided to play it spontaneous and went to Umusambi Village for bird watching, just like cool planned kids😄. Iry put her photography skills to work, bringing a camera to capture every precious moment, but we weren't just the two of us; we had brought our favorite "third wheel" along🥰, which made everything even funnier. Since there were no restaurants around, we packed our own snacks, and let me tell you, you really learn who your people are in moments like these😏. These two decided to tease Iry, saying the biscuits she brought tasted like soap, so she ended up having to eat them all by herself😔! Despite the snack drama, the day was pure magic. It was one of those perfect, simple days that truly felt like exactly what the soul needed🫶

Les amis, our adventure only got better with every passing day. Our conversations grew deeper, and our connection became so strong, turning a simple bond into an intense, undeniable attraction. Before we knew it, we weren't just best friends; we had fallen deeply in love. During the quiet days of the lockdown, Bri found a way to make something special happen. He decided it was time to turn our beautiful connection into a forever promise. One morning, he picked her up from her home and took her to a special place to make his big demand, asking her d’être sa petite amie. In that breathtaking moment, the answer came with a joyful "OUI!". And just like that Val’s day became a grand, beautiful beginning to a story that is as spicy as it is sweet, and we are just getting started with the best parts❤️

Let's now share the very best part, just as we promised😊. We have walked this path together for six beautiful years, and honestly, we wouldn't change a single thing. It’s been genuine. It hasn't always been bubbly, but we promised each other that it would always get better. This spirit eventually led us back to one of our favorite places, but Bri was playing a sneaky game while I thought we were just on a normal adventure. On January 13th, 2026, Bri popped a new, big question that turned us into Fiancés…and the ring is absolutely stunning! Our story continues as we get ready for the next big adventure; married life.
