After six years of dating, Brian decided the time was right to bend the knee. It was the Fourth of July holiday weekend, and we were enjoying happy hour with my brother and future sister-in-law at one of our favorite spots on Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach. Brian was adamant about taking a photo together since we always slack on couple pictures. After spotting a brightly painted mural of pineapples across the street, we decided that this wall would make for a great backdrop for our photoshoot. We first took pictures for my brother, and when it was our turn, Brian turned to look at me after a few shots. I turned to face him and said "what are you doing" in the nicest way possible. As he began the descent to one knee, I again said "wait, what are you doing?" and followed up with "is this for real?" Looking up at me with a ring in his hand, Brian asked "will you" and my cry-laugh-scream response was "Thank you!" I'll admit that I blacked out momentarily at this point, but I know one thing for sure- there was laughter, there were tears, and by golly, there was an accepted proposal. We finished the night partying with my family and the rest is history!
