Bronson and Austin first met in 2023 at the wedding of their dear friends, Andrew and Wade Zaninovich, in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. After an admirable but ultimately unsuccessful attempt to woo Austin at the reception, Bronson was left to spend the next year wondering what might have been if only he had been just a little more charming. Thankfully, he got his chance at redemption in October 2024 at the Keeneland horse races in Lexington, Kentucky. Andrew and Wade had invited several friends, including Austin, to make the trip from Nashville to watch the races. Wade even convinced Bronson that Austin was very excited to see him again—although, as it turns out, she had taken a few creative liberties here. Regardless, the two immediately hit it off and spent the entire day talking and laughing, despite somehow losing every single bet. Just a few weeks later, they began making the drive back and forth between Nashville and Lexington most weekends. Austin was finishing her degree at Vanderbilt University on her way to becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner, while Bronson still had two years left in his ENT residency at the University of Kentucky. After earning her degree in August 2025, Austin made the move to Lexington to join Bronson for his final year of residency. She began working as a pediatric nurse practitioner at a private clinic in nearby Danville, Kentucky, and the two spent an amazing year exploring all that central Kentucky had to offer. Somewhere along the way, Austin even learned to appreciate a little bourbon. After Bronson completed his ENT residency in June 2026, the two loaded their belongings into a 26-foot Budget truck (which Bronson maintains should have required a CDL to drive) and headed south to Birmingham, Alabama, where Bronson joined a private ENT practice. They are excited to begin this next chapter together, explore all that Birmingham has to offer, and be a little closer to both of their hometowns—Austin’s Memphis, Tennessee, and Bronson’s Mobile, Alabama. Most of all, they are looking forward to building a life together in their new home.
