April and Bryan met their freshman year at age fourteen, at Orange Lutheran High School. At the beginning of their junior year, Bryan asked April to meet him at one of the football games. The entire game their eyes kept making contact, but April would run off, too scared to say hello. Within the next few weeks, they talked a lot until he finally asked her out to dinner. A week after their first date, on November 2nd, 2012, Bryan asked April in their school parking lot to be his girlfriend. Of course, she said yes! It was very important to them that they kept their same anniversary date, November 2nd. Now here they are, ready to get married on their 7th Anniversary!

No, it was not an April Fools’ Joke. Bryan and April took a vacation to Las Vegas, NV in the beginning of April to celebrate Bryan’s birthday a little early. Their first day on the trip, Bryan told April he wanted to walk to the Flamingo Hotel and through The Wildlife Habitat. It is one of their favorite spots. Weddings are held in this area from time to time. There were little ducks swimming around through the ponds and birds flying through the trees. It was such a beautiful setting. He stopped at a small open area, dropped down on one knee, and proposed. It was one of the most magical moments of their lives. Now Bryan can say he proposed to April on April Fools’ Day, but for real!
