It all started at an accounting firm — as all love stories do. On his first day, Pablo met a current employee who he thought was cute but very chatty. That employee, of course, was Alexandra. She helpfully suggested he reserve the desk next to hers because “the person sitting there smells bad.” (How could he resist such charm?) The two quickly became inseparable — surviving busy seasons, endless happy hours, and everything in between. Neither could have made it through those first years without the other. Even during the pandemic, they would FaceTime during work hours in total silence because they were “used to working next to each other.” And no — they still weren’t dating. After the pandemic, even though they no longer worked together, they stayed close: phone calls, dinners with friends, and plenty of excuses to hang out. Eventually, Pablo asked Alexandra out — and she reluctantly agreed. (Legend has it, third time’s the charm.) A month into dating, Alexandra said, “This is great — why didn’t we do this sooner?!” Cue the collective “I told you so’s” from all her friends. Since then, their adventures have only grown — from San Diego to Switzerland, Portugal, Italy, Spain, and England — they’re happiest exploring the world together. Pablo might wish Alexandra packed fewer outfits (especially since he’s usually the one carrying the suitcase), but he wouldn’t have it any other way. Not all their adventures involve passport stamps. Some of their favorite memories are summer days at the lake with the Dimitry family — and most importantly, Wyatt. Through every season — finding the next beach in summer, the next ski mountain in winter, or the best burger in the New York City fall — they realized one thing: there’s no one else they’d rather do it with.
(¿Cómo resistirse a tanto encanto?) Y no — todavía no estaban saliendo.
