Haley and Alex met in early 2016 through a dating app that matches people based on Facebook friend networks. They had a large number of mutual Facebook connections from high school and neighborhood friends, but surprisingly had never crossed paths! Following some online banter, Alex gave Haley his number and while it took her almost two weeks to text him, once they had their first date they began seeing each other regularly. Haley uncovered Alex's love for dogs when she introduced him to her dog Ellie and now the three are living in NYC and enjoying this special time in life with family and friends.

Alex proposed to Haley in Bariloche, Argentina on January 2, 2019. On the first morning of their trip they came across the hotel photographer and decided on a whim to have a picture taken outside. Not having long before a scheduled tour and even though a staged photo seemed cheesy, they thought it would be nice to have a professional photo from the trip. A "quick photo outside" turned into a full blown photoshoot and Haley started laughing to about how cheesy things were getting. Little did she know Alex had the ring in his pocket all morning and he was waiting for the right moment to propose! Alex secretly made the photographer aware of what was to come and the photographer asked them to walk down to the end of a beautiful rustic dock, hand in hand. At the end of the dock Alex got down on one knee and Haley excitedly said "YES!" The photographer captured the most special moments and Haley still can't believe the expert level planning and execution from Alex!
