We got married here back in 2021 while they were still doing renovations and even back then, it was a dream venue to work with. Such a beautiful space and the staff is incredible in working with you. Highly recommend this venue, especially now with all the new additions they’ve made to the place! So gorgeous.

Wow, where to start? My husband and I were married at Osmica in June 2023 and it beyond exceeded our expectations. Kurt and Allie went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and how we wanted it all weekend. From putting together a gorgeous rehearsal dinner in the hayloft, to bringing my vision to life of hanging our custom neon sign, to quietly solving countless day of challenges that popped up so that we didn't stress (dealing with missing items from our rental order, filling in additional decor items, jumping in to help set items up), they were the pillars of our whole wedding weekend. It truly would not have come together the way it did without them. In addition to that, we stayed in the gorgeous renovated farm house and were treated to amazing breakfasts with food straight from the farm each morning. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts and we can't wait to go back to celebrate our anniversary!

We got married and held our reception here in November. Ashley was wonderful to work with and was able to quickly get back to us with any questions we had. Her and her husband were very accommodating to our food allergies and even customized their menu to make it completely dairy free (as well as some gluten free options)! They offer take-home family style samples of their menu to taste test in the comfort of your own home. Ashley allowed us to come the day before to set everything up (this is based on their schedule availability), which made our wedding day even smoother. She went out of her way to assist us and check-in throughout the whole weekend. There is a bridal suite available for use on the second floor that includes a table, chairs, window to the main area, private bathroom, mirror/makeup area, clothing rack, and hangers. It was the perfect place for everyone to get their hair and makeup done, as well as a place for our bridal party to leave their things during the wedding so they could change later. Ashley was there to assist us during the ceremony to help everything run smoothly which we held on the bottom floor with 90 people. After the ceremony we walked to a park 3 blocks away for a few photos while our guests moved upstairs (stairway or elevator available) for cocktail hour. When we returned from photos, Ashley was instantly there with a plate of appetizers for the two of us to eat a little before heading upstairs to join our guests for part of cocktail hour. We later moved back downstairs for the first dances, dinner, toasts, etc. Dinner was served quickly by some lovely staff and was delicious. The package included an open bar (premium option available with a small upgrade) for both cocktail hour and the reception. We were also each able to have a custom cocktail served to our guests. The package also included the appetizers, crudité, charcuterie station, first course (salad or soup), bread/butter, 3 dinner options with 2 sides, and a champagne toast. There was also soda, coffee, and tea available. The building is large enough to accommodate everyone dancing, but also small enough to keep the evening intimate. We cannot thank Ashley and her staff enough for such a wonderful day/evening and for making our dreams come true at such reasonable prices. There were no hidden fees thrown at us and there are many additional add-on options available as well! If you are looking for a venue that can offer ceremony/reception services indoors in Lackawanna, this is the place you want to go! Also bonus points for being LGBTQIA friendly!

In only a few words -- the John Joseph Inn is an incredible venue and was the perfect spot for our wedding, and we would recommend to anyone! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and John is continually making additions and improvements year after year it seems. We were able to use the property for the entire wedding weekend, from: - having the entire wedding party staying onsite - the Rehearsal Dinner in the restaurant - Welcome Drinks on the porch and in the atrium of the Inn - Getting Ready onsite (girls in the Inn, guys in the Cook's Cottage) - Ceremony in the garden, Cocktail Hour in the orchard, Reception in the Tent - Afterparty in the Inn This not only made logistics easy for us, but meant we were able to explore and use every lovely inch of the property!  Also cannot overstate how much we loved that we got to stay on site - it removed so much of the potential hassle for us on our wedding day! The well-maintained gardens and tent were just a stunning location for our day. The ceremony site is a dreamy garden escape, and the reception tent has several wonderful touches not common of other tented venues we toured, including stunning chandeliers, a stone floor, and farmhouse tables. John himself was a pleasure to work with in the year leading up to the event, and his relaxed and calm demeanor was a valuable asset to counter our own wedding stresses. He is a consummate pro at this, having done it for decades now and especially with Lauren's help for the day-of coordination everything went off without a hitch! In addition, the whole way he runs his business was such a breath of fresh air compared to other venues we had toured that gave off more of a "wedding factory" vibe. With John, there were no concerns about hidden fees or upcharges or that we were just another name in his ledgers, and on top of that the value at the JJI is better than any other venue we toured. For example -- many things were simply included as part of the package whereas they would've been upcharges at many other venues (champagne toasts, wine service at tables, passed cocktails at happy hour, etc.) Finally, I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't mention the food. From the rehearsal dinner BBQ, to the cocktail hour bites, to the main courses -- everything was so so good and we got many compliments from the guests on how delicious everything was. On top of that, any concerns we had about guests going hungry were completely wrong as the portions were incredibly generous.  Overall - an absolutely incredible venue that truly made our whole experience!

We got married at Avanti Mansion a few months ago and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Raquel, one of the wedding planners on staff, was incredible to work with and really helped to make our day so seamless with several special touches and great attention to detail. The space is beautiful and very unique for lots of different photos around the property. We were in the Amore ballroom and between the ballroom, outdoor patio, and ceremony area, I can't wait to see all of our different pictures from our photographer! Our guests told us they had an amazing time, and that the food was fantastic- something you don't often hear at weddings. My only wish was that we could've stayed there longer to continue celebrating. We love you, Avanti!

The wedding garden, named "Enchantment", has a 100' x 60' translucent sailcloth tent, a 42' alabaster bar, and a dry-stack stone fire place that it took four masons one year to build. At the Inn, customization is limitless - a blank canvas (well, if you consider a blank canvas to be gorgeous gardens, sprawling staircase, and stunning tent) awaits. We worked with Tania-lynn who was an absolute rockstar and made our wildest dreams come to life. Every 'I" was dotted and every "T" was crossed. We didn't have a worry in the world when we walked onto the grounds on our wedding day. I can't speak more highly about the experience, staff, accommodations, and wedding day (and I've been dreaming about this day since I was a little girl!).
