I got into DJing by accident. After learning that working as an Industrial Engineer in a fortune 500 company didn't bring me much fulfillment, a friend suggested I join his DJ company. His company supplied DJ services for over 200 weddings a year! After my first wedding gig I was hooked. It gave me purpose, and an outlet I never knew was possible. Jim established his mobile DJ business in Indianapolis in 1991. He lives in the Indianapolis area with his wife and sons.

Michelle also enjoys performing musical theatre, including a critically acclaimed show at the Goodman Theatre, and collaborating with other creative musicians in Chicago. A co-founder and lead singer of the group, Brooke began the pursuit of her musical and stage career at a very early age. At 18, Brooke moved to New York City where she continued her education in music and theater. She moved to Chicago in 2011 and quickly collaborated with others who shared her love of soul and R&B music to create the familiar soulful, but unique sound of Brooke & The Nice Things.
